Poetry – Grace Everpresent ( repost by popular demand – mine)

Where is Grace?

Grace is realizing the car keys are in your other pocket

Grace is when the cop gives you a warning this time

Grace is when the red birds descend on your terrace ” just because”

Grace is when you discover your checkbook error

that you subtracted one hundred dollars by mistake

Grace is when the sky opens and the sun tells the clouds to get lost for a spell

Grace is the neighbor’s cat who snuggles with you after yours has passed away

Grace is the stranger who helps you pick up your groceries off the floor

Grace is the MRI that reveals you don’t have that illness after all

Grace is accepting what is and surviving with renewed hope

Grace is a whole heart after a lifetime of shatters and scars

Grace is a million new beginnings

Grace is finding love way past your prime

Grace is everpresent

  1. somehow the post where you talk about leaving your job and how you feel, got lost , I am glad to have found it . Dear Sister Scorpio, ” this too shall pass” has been my mantra , I can see you have your own version. With all hell breaking loose around us , we keep putting one foot in front of the other, trying not to let what seems insurmountable become dominant. I am getting ready to move to New England…. sigh . The only option the Universe has given me… I accept it. I also am pained to leave my friends here and the resources here.. perhaps the Universe will provide them where I am going. You and I just have to know that what is going to come is far better than what is here now. Is it time to share another bowl of good Thai soup?

    1. Hey Fran,
Great to hear from you. I did call you and left a message. I appreciate your support and friendship. Let’s chat offline about planning a get together. Sad you are leaving but hope the move will be a pathway to blessings. Want to see you before you leave.

      1. I’m wishing you the best Linda, reaching for the words. I know you are expressing a lot and processing a lot. I did read your post about ‘Skating..’ but I happened to have commented on this one- probably because this one was more recent. I really feel the support of your friends. [insert line from from a song: Love is all you need].

    1. Hi Ka,
I did not understand your comment here, in light of what I am dealing with. Not sure what lift means in this context unless you mean my reaching out to others in pain, The poem is old, just a re-post. Thanks for your kindness and support. My friends here ( you included) are gems!
