Sweet and Salty ~ Follow the Trail

The past few days I have felt led to go through some old training material and reread part of my journal. Some very cool stuff has been resurrected and this feels good!

I found an idea in my journal to designate two symbols as my own signs of being on the “right path.” This idea is not original. I found it on Laurali Star’s former WordPress blog which sadly is no more. Anyway, I identified the two symbols and quickly forgot about the whole thing. Like myself, they are both sweet and salty. Can you guess which is sweet and which is salty?

Drum roll please…….

This is my first symbol. Many readers know I love German chocolate cake. What is very interesting is that my German chocolate cake picture on pinterest has been blowing up lately. I have no idea why it has become so popular, but it did get my attention.

This is my second symbol. I love seashells and once collected them as a hobby.I even have jewelry containing shells. My abalone shell earrings are among my favorites and since I am an earring fanatic, that counts for something.

So what does this mean? I am committed to looking for these signs anywhere and everywhere and I invite you to try this exercise as well. For my blog buddies, if I see these symbols on your blogs, I will point them out. Acknowledgement gives more energy to the process.

I am at a point in my journey where I want to use more of the tools at my disposal. And have fun while doing it.  I believe that I “rediscovered” this idea so I could give it another try.

Are You With Me??

    1. Damn, I have been waiting for any significant German Chocolate cake manifestation and now it has arrived, woohoo! You have to read my blog more often Shelley 🙂

      1. It was an awesome cake and I do love German Chocolate, too! The pharmacy manager gets on my last nerve and I want to slap her face on a daily basis but this cake just reminded me of what an asshole I am. She gets me a birthday cake and tries to be sweet when I have been absolutely awful to her! So what is the moral of the story?
The Universe can want you to stay somewhere so badly that it will make someone give you the second best cake known to man even if you tell pharmacists “F— you!” and give them a hard time everyday. The German Chocolate Cake is like a white flag. I surrender!

    1. There happens to be something in my today´s post that could be an owl. 🙂

A FB friend posted a close up of fire yesterday. I love fire, so I particularly remember that photo.

    1. Thanks for sharing your symbol obsessions. The all seeing eye is on the US dollar and I wondered why so I googled it! Thanks for the movie info, had not heard of this one.

  2. What a delightful post!

I choose white feather. 😀 Had a delicious synchronicity with that just yesterday (relating to finding one in my kitchen). White feathers are said to be positive messages/signs/guidance from the angels (or the universe, how we then like).

    Thinking about the other symbol.

    1. thanks Deelia. I am glad white feather found you and now you are “owning” it. Glad you are trying this out. Let me know about the other symbol.
While I googled and learned seashells can mean security, German chocolate cake just means yummy!
It is always a delight to hear from you and hope you have had a great Summer.

      1. Yes, Summer has been lovely, thanks. Hope yours was, too, alongside with the changes you have made in your life, Congratulations for them, being true to yourself. 🙂

I probably allow the other symbol just to emerge. If nothing comes, I might keep it one.

        Love and hugs,

      2. Glad you had a great summer. Mine was very busy and filled with Saturn energies. Now I can chill and soak up some light, after Saturn moves further away from me 🙂

      3. Hehee, I certainly have needed to remind myself of the blessing sides of Saturn myself …:D Happy chilling, dear! PS. Your cake symbol makes me smile again and again. Both your symbols are beautiful, and well, all symbols are. It´s so much fun to follow what folks choose for them.

    1. While I was writing this I thought “should I make it a challenge? ” and the answer was no. But you all know better, lol and I am excited that I found company for this adventure. Wolves are very loyal and travel in packs. Interesting you have an affinity with them 🙂

Let me know about the second one. Also, please reply to my message on your blog. It is just hanging out there on your post all alone 😦

      hugs,

  4. Weird signs, see them everywhere, symptom of Virgo stuff on 9. Love them though, getting the oddball confirmations is one of my favorite things.

Don’t know if you do divination via cards, but there is an extensive seashell oracle to be had if you are looking.
I’ll pop up a few in the near future so you can looksee.

  5. This is great food for thought (ha ha). I’ve always just accepted the patterns of numbers and birds as my signs but both are prolific. I’ll have to think about this more to discover my two signs. My life is very thematic so I’m sure something more obscure will bubble to the surface. As an outsider looking into my life, have YOU noticed a recurring sign that I might have overlooked?

    1. Hey Lehua,
Great to hear from you. Like yourself, number and scores of birds (very Aquarian BTW) have operated very strongly in my life. I chose these two symbols not so much because they are very thematic for me, but as a way to begin a new trend.

I am excited that you are considering joining me on this quest.I will review your blog and see if I notice anything.

      love,
      Linda
