I would suggest you read this series in order, so start here.

When I was relatively new to this spiritual odyssey, I had an important insight. I realized that once you are on the train, you cannot stop it. Once you pursue what is beyond the 5 senses ( 3D world), it is on. At the time, I was fine with it. I was exhilarated by the ride and had plenty of support. You cannot go back to not knowing.

Fast forward to now: There are many moments when I wish I could see the chair as just a chair, the window as the window, the floor as solid. Years of studying A Course in Miracles helped me exit the world of duality and separation. I have no regrets about The Course. I love what I have learned and the timing of my introduction was perfect. I just am at a place where it gets to be too much. I would not say that ignorance is bliss, but I would say that with knowledge comes responsibility.

Having gifts or abilities does not eliminate loss, sadness, confusion, or fear. If anything, my sensitivity can often heighten my emotional experiences. Love is stronger than fear and it is close to impossible to be in love and fearful simultaneously. Yet love does not eliminate all the pain and suffering on the planet ( within and without).

I offer another song from the same time period as the last couple posts. Another haunting melody with powerful lyrics and a message that is up for interpretation. Let the music take you wherever you want to go…

  1. You know I still have the Course of Miracles..great thick book that it is I have to confess of not completing the course.. But understand many of the lessons given… and I have enjoyed reading the findings of Lisa and Julianne on their experiences in combined blog.
And like you say.. Once on the train… we are on until our final destination… 🙂 But what a ride!

    1. Hi Sue,
was wondering when you would return and very happy to see you here on my blog. I would encourage you to read the course and go through the lessons now that you are retired. I went through the entire process years ago and it was a revelation. Choo choo , all aboard!

      love, Linda

  2. I had a friend who took the Course years before we met – I had come to see the world much the same as she, via different avenues – but I always remember one key conversation we had when I was down and rather wishing I hadn’t walked through the door that swings only one way – 🙂 “Yes, once you understand how fluid reality is, it is sometimes hard to navigate a life full of people and things that demand you experience reality as fixed/solid”

    1. Great comment and very insightful conversation, based on the line you quoted. I am more at home away from fixed solid, until things ” don’t go my way” and then I miss the illusion of stability. This is why the phrase “anchoring in the new consciousness..” is so powerful to me. Without an anchor, the waves can get pretty choppy! 🙂

  3. Hey Linda,

I don’t believe we can alight the meta-train once the journey starts at birth nor separate ourselves from the ‘reality’ of the experience…that is not our choice to make…but the gift of free will still permits the human mind to ‘pause’ the procession long enough to take a view out of the carriage window.

With knowledge comes a deepening awareness of our sense of spiritual obligation (a contract, a covenant with God) for ourselves, for our fellow brothers and sisters and for our planet….Earth is humankind’s common denominator. With ‘unimaginable power comes unimaginable responsibility’, but such immensity of will is in God’s hands and as ephemeral beings we are largely subordinate to that will, and differentiated from it on some level by being manifest in reality. If we accept God, and if we then accept an understanding of our individual purpose on Earth and the gifts that have been laid upon us as individuals, then I don’t think it is possible to escape our obligations by climbing a burning rope (so that others may not follow?) and remaining above the multitude, unless of course one chooses to exercise free will. In carrying out our purpose it is wonderful to consider how even a small kindness such as a word, an image, a smile, or a hand to help, is something that many people would not have received in their life otherwise and could consequently snowball to make a difference within them. Their experience of us sharing ourselves with another is not for us to choose, and neither is the subsequent direction of their life. All we can be are signposts and purveyors of our own sense of truth.

Have a wonderful Sun-day afternoon. I trust that Sunshine will help evaporate a little of that watery Neptune from your inner lake and leave an island upon which you might pause a while. Take care Linda, keep smiling 🙂

    1. Hey Dewin.
As you know I sometimes wait to return a reply so I can take in your thoughtful and rich commentary. I think the burning rope signifies that once you climb, you cannot climb down, hence the idea that you cannot exit the train. In the song Stairway to Heaven, there still is time to change your path. I do not think that applies to the larger decision to wake up and become more conscious. Lately I am working on coming to grips with what is beyond my grasp and what can be changed, ala the Serenity prayer.

I am in a better place today and while I still have questions and doubts, I know I have the ability to create positive ripples in the cosmic lake and make a difference through my human existence.

      Namaste and Happy Easter,
      Linda

  4. Thank you for sharing this.
Yes, once we have boarded this train, we cannot just stop and jump off.
With knowledge comes responsibility, as you wrote.
There are some aspects of this journey where I can relate to what you wrote. Some points where I wanted to just stop and get off the train. But I wasn’t allowed to. For example, when I was urged to share the insights of the journey , that felt like having to jump from a ten story building without knowing whether I could fly. I was not allowed to avoid this challenge.
I wish you all the best for this difficult period.

    1. thank you Karin for validating my experiences. I am very glad you took the challenge to blog so we could “meet”. I will get by, just have to keep working on myself. Let me know when you read that material I sent you. hugs, Linda

      1. Thanks, Linda. I, too, am glad that we could meet. I’m currently reading the material you sent me and find it interesting. I will need some more time before I can say something definite.

My first impression is that many things make sense, like for example, that consciousness pervades everything, and that time is not linear.

However, some things seemed to be spiritually off target, e.g. the dualistic stuff about antagonistic forces, species with evil intent, the enemy Animus. The spiritual journey is a journey to a non-dual worldview, i.e. there is only God. And not some enemy and fight and fear. After reading ACIM, which is non-dual, then reading this antagonistic/dual/fight/fear stuff seems to me like a step back in understanding.

But, I am only at the beginning, so I cannot say anything definite yet.

Some parts of it remind me of Mary Deioma’s book
        Loved, A Transcendend Journey.
She experienced first-hand that consciousness pervades everything. And she also had sort of a BST experience,i.e. she went back in time in her imagination and changed the course of events. She wrote that she had a second timeline available after that.

You did not write anything concrete yet about what you experienced, and so I can only guess what that material did to you.
I only want to say this: we are consciousness and this is creative power. So, whenever there is a thought coupled with emotion, this will manifest. Therefore, when strange things happen to you after reading this, then you probably have created them yourself. But, I don’t know what happened. I am just guessing from your few hints.

All is well. Separation is an illusion. Fear is based on the assumption of separation and is therefore illusory as well.

I wish you all the best.

        Hugs,
        Karin

      2. Thank you Karin. You have been of the many anchors I have needed during this period of confusion. I do see some light now and think I am heading out of my self-created abyss. The film What Dreams May Come comes to mind where one’s fears coupled with emotion manifested in a hellacious afterlife. But that was only part of the story. The film does end well.

Thank you for being you and spreading a consistent message during some slippery cycles, astrological and beyond…

        Hugs, Linda
