Color for a New Dawn

Inspired by Sue’s post on color and my recent visit to Discovering the Impressionists: Paul Durand-Ruel and the New Painting, I offer you some treasures by Degas, Delacroix, Manet, Monet, and Renoir. Enjoy…

      1. I found all these pieces on wikiart.org. Check it out to learn more. I really enjoyed assembling this presentation based on use of color and what spoke to me.

  1. Hi Linda,
Lovely pics. They illicit calm and melancholy emotions within me. Also, there are strong reminders of past lives and lifestyles (bucolic joy) holding everything together.

I hope you are feeling better. I am happy for your awakening.

    1. Happy to oblige. Got me curious about your past lives now. You knew I would ask if given the prompt? I am feeling less overwhelmed by emotion, but certainly in grieving mode. Still cannot believe he is gone. It all happened so suddenly. My awakening story that I posted was ten years ago. Not the first event or the last, but the most joyful and with the longest incubation period.

      love, Linda

      1. Hi Linda-
I don’t have a specific past life memory from this time that I can talk about. I just had an intrinsic feeling that came to me when seeing these pics that reminded me of being fully present in that time. No way to really explain it, except to say, I bet I was.
        Hugs,

    1. Hi Sue,
Sharing art makes me happy and people do enjoy it.. Will happily receive the love during this time of sadness. I am doing better than expected though. Maybe because I do not fight the tears and because I know he knows how much I loved him. xoxoxo

  2. This is such a visual paean… Only a jyotish ( Sanskrit jyoti, meaning light, and ish, meaning purveyor) like you could have created such a presentation. Paintings from the masters are all visual treats. I am getting lost in those landscapes and ocean views, Linda…best wishes… Raj.
