Chutes and Ladders

Life can be a study in contrasts. Take fall, for example. Bright vibrant colors with cooling temperatures and increasing darkness. Do you prefer the bright or the dull?

I’ll take bright, thank you very much. The foods of this season also compliment the natural hues. Think cranberry and pumpkin and acorn squash ; burgundy, rust, and gold.

The world of duality is ever present when one seeks perfection. I am a perfection fan, with North Node and Pluto in Virgo. With so much Virgo energy this season, the perfection vibe is palpable ( especially with Jupiter in Virgo square Neptune in Pisces.)

I grew up playing board games. I really enjoyed Candyland, Go to the Head of the Class and Chutes and Ladders. While Candyland was all about fantasy, the others were about upward mobility and pursuit of excellence. In grade school, we had the SRA independent reading program in one of my classes. We would read at our own pace and advance from one color coded level to the next. I do not recall anything about what I read, but I can tell you about the 2 girls who were the best readers. They were one level above me and I aspired to catch up to them.

My life lately reminds me more of Chutes and Ladders though. I experience great insights and movements of energy. Then later on, more losses occur and I find myself also losing my patience and peace of mind, not to mention my temper! This game reminds me of Saturn as it really is about fate. Your journey depends not on mastery, but on chance. Where you land is where you land, period. After that, how do you react to where you have landed?

While viewing Burnt, the latest Bradley Cooper flick, this point was driven home. While comparing Cooper’s and  Jude Law’s film connections with Sienna Miller ( all 3 actors are Caps , and the male leads Cooper and Law are Caps with Neptune conjunct Sag Rising and about the same age and height.), I also considered how the lead character’s obsession with perfection was his Achille’s heel. Without giving away the ending, I will say that teamwork and consistency triumphed over control and isolated ambition.

If I can stop competing and appreciate the value of collaboration, the ups and downs will feel less personal and more communal. There is no class to peer over or mountain to scale. If only I can finally see with clarity that ” Winning” is only for the Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen caricatures of pop culture.

The film was meh, but the new recliner seats were sweet. I do like Neptune rising guys and wonder if Bradley Cooper will be the new Jude Law. For me, Jude Law was the new Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt was the new Richard Gere. Richard Gere was the new Warren Beatty. There will always been someone newer, younger, shinier, and smarter. But there will never be another you. or me.

Ever.

Oh, one more thing… If you live in the US, turn back the clocks one hour at 2AM Sunday for Standard Time ( and more dullness/darkness) .

And if you like candy and/or costumes, Happy Halloween!

Philadelphia- PMG & South Street

Hey, look what I found in my reader!
This is for Arlene, a blog about cheesesteaks and the Magic Gardens.

What are the odds I would see a post like this just 4 days after visiting the Magic Gardens? I was searching for cheesesteaks on the WP reader and this appeared.

Magic, pure magic.
A winning combo Philly style, where the magic happens…

Trouvaille Devotee

A few weeks ago I took a trip to Philadelphia to visit some friends who attend Temple University. Most of the times I’ve visited the city, my adventures have not strayed far from a typical tourist itinerary—meaning bus tours with an automated narration of the city. When I visited Philly this time, I was offered an unfiltered look at the city.

The first adventure of the day was catching the subway to our destination: South Street. Here’s the thing, I can navigate the DC Metro, specifically Metro Center, and the Baltimore Lightrail with great ease, but for some reason, the Philadelphia subway system was beyond me. I recommend going with someone knowledgeable of the area if your traveling in Philly. Or else you’ll be standing at the maps in the station with a clueless expression on your face. I did that till my friend’s brother attempted to explain the system…

Time is Fleeting

Photo956 (2)

Happy Full Moon everyone!

Emotion and beauty are palpable as we head further into Scorpio season. The leaves are shimmering in shades of rust, burgundy, and gold and the wind is emboldened by chilly temperatures and colorful moods.

Halloween is almost here and Rocky Horror flashbacks make me smile. Time IS fleeting, especially if you want to join my Time Machine Blogging Challenge. Have you read the recent posts by Michael, Mary, Laura, Kellie, Glorialana and Fiona? They are truly stellar so check them out. Each is as original and dazzling as an Autumn day.

I am adding a few more dates for anyone who is still deciding. I have been working on my own post and this process has been painstakingly slow for me. So I am giving myself a hard deadline. I chose my birthday November 6th for publication in hopes of creating the finished product while I am still the same age!

Please refer to the challenge post for the updated schedule. You can comment here to add yourself to the fine list of writers.  I have to say the material we assembled together is incredible. Speaking of incredible, this will be my 400th published blog.

Where does the time go?

We may live in a universe without limits, but when it comes to this opportunity, time is slipping away…

Life’s Mysteries & Meanings

The book The Soul’s Gift brought me peace right after Dexter passed. This interview about pre birth planning is an eye and heart opener. Please find some time to watch this video and see how it relates to your life. Namaste, litebeing

Scorpi – OH

Scorpio is coming to town. Pluto’s making a list and checking it twice, gonna find out whose naughty or nice…. He sees you when you’re sleeping..
You know the drill, its Scorpio-time!

litebeing chronicles

Just two more days until the Sun moves back into Scorpio. NO messy Saturn in Scorpio transit either ( thankfully):

So I am re-posting my Scorpio post from 2 years ago that was very well received. I don’t think I can improve on this, so I will let it stand on its own.

Enjoy!

Ahhh Scorpio, where to begin..  Well, let’s start with the featured header. It is a picture of purple chrysanthemums I took near my house. Notice how at first glance these scorpio flowers sporting scorpion fuchsia are out of focus, mysterious, difficult to get a fix on. Now move your laptop or device further away and notice how the image becomes clearer and better defined. This is part of the Scorpio nature. We are difficult to assess, but can become better known if you persevere and change your perspective. Now mind you, I planned to take a…

Power Up The Energetic Web

wikipedia.org, pub domain

How has your weekend been? After quite a hectic and somewhat unsettling week, I woke up today with a lingering state of peace. So so grateful…

I have some announcements to share:

Some of you may remember I posted about an online summit on spiritual awakening and spiritual emergency. It was sponsored by Shades of Awakening. It was absolutely delightful hearing from speakers around the globe about how altered states of consciousness often involved experiences that Western society typically labels as psychotic or pathological. Well, through a string of unforseen circumstances I was made aware of an online course given by Emma Bragdon, one of the summit speakers. I am taking the class, which is called How to Effectively Help Someone in Spiritual Emergency, and it begins this Wednesday October 21st. If you are interested in the overlap between shamanic initiation and “mental illness”, this course may be for you. It is part 1 of a 2 part series leading up to a certification to become a Spiritual Emergence Coach. There are still spaces available and I would be delighted to learn alongside of you!

Visit here to learn more.

My pal Barbara over at Memymagnificentself is launching her book and looking for book reviews and interviews on various platforms. I will be interviewing her here and would love some company. Let’s support her in her quest to promote her book and its mission of freedom, unity consciousness and Divine expression.

Check out Barbara’s latest post to join the fun.

Last but not least, the Time Machine Blogging Challenge continues. The response to this series has been excellent. Let’s keep adding more momentum by filling the remaining dates on the roster. I added dates for the end of this month per the requests of some bloggers who needed more time. Time isn’t running out in 5D or above, but here on momma Earth, time is limited and we have 4 more spaces available. They are October  21, 22,  23, and 24. It would be an added bonus to get a representative from Africa and South America. All the other continents are covered save Antarctica!

To learn more about the challenge and read all the fascinating time tales, click here.

I really like the visual notion of our cosmos as an energetic web. It captures the premise of quantum thought and sacred geometry. I fancy the notion that every breath is a chance to light up our collective frequencies and celebrate our interconnectivity. By participating in any or all of the activities I mentioned above, you can make a difference beyond your wildest dreams.

NAMASTE

This gem is sooo re blog worthy. Michael birthed a precious child here and now for all the planet to adore. Amen!

Embracing Forever

Obviously I am not a Christian,
but Jesus is my companion.
More than that, even.
We were bound together in darkness,
in a moment we both chose without resistance.
The ropes encircling us are sacred.
We are each other’s atrium and ventricle.
We live in the same house.
We love the same woman.
We lay together on a raft sometimes,
continuing our passage across the sea
to visit the birth of life.
At night, when I’m done
staring at the ceiling
and my tears
are passing out of the harbor
in a galloping herd of waves,
and the stars are keeping watch
over each one,
marking each surging shoulder
with the incendiary memory of
sodium, hydrogen, helium and argon–
Jesus is the tide that carries them.
Jesus is the road we walk that leads us to the sea.

And clearly I am not a Buddhist,
though I dissolve into the Buddha’s robes
with…

A Whole New World?

By Anne Dirkse (www.annedirkse.com) (Own work) [CC BY-SA 4.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Many have prophesied that one-third of our planet would be aligned with fifth dimensional consciousness by September 28, 2015. This is called the 1st wave of ascension.  I do not know if I feel any different. My experience of time and space has been altered for quite some time. According to Matt Kahn and others, this is not an intellectual exercise. It is all about the heart.

One way that I perceive insights is by noticing or attracting novel tidbits from pop culture. The internet is typically the medium that transmits these nuggets towards my awareness. Music and movies are two of my go-tos and this gem via Facebook got my attention. The film Aladdin is going to be released in digital format soon. To celebrate this new edition, the original singers from the film reunited on Good Morning America to sing A Whole New World. I am including the video here in the hope of encouraging people to listen. I am in love with this song and it radiates love and otherworldly bliss. I was blown away when I first heard the song and I still feel the same today.

Now that Mercury has gone direct, we can move our attention to other events. I am glad it is mostly behind us, but this cycle was a minor disruption for me. I felt more of the typical slowdowns a few weeks prior to the Mercury station. Maybe that’s just how I roll.  What about you?  How are you doing? Are we moving into 5D? What does that look like? How does it feel? Does it even matter?

It is not too late to join the Time Machine Challenge. The posts are fantastic and I am so awestruck by the brilliance and the emotional honesty displayed. If you are participating, don’t forget to claim your badge! They make nifty souvenirs.

Lately I am not sure where I am headed. Part of me believes that is actually a good thing. But wherever I travel, I am grateful to have my tribe around me.

PS WordPress tells me I have used 1111 tags so far. The signs continue…

J2P: The Oneness and Energy

You may have noticed I have been doing lots of re-blogging lately. But here’s the thing ( gotta love this phrase) : If I discover material that is either better crafted than anything I can attempt and/or is such a perfect fit for my blog’s mission, it will be re-blogged. Leigh’s explanation of unity consciousness is beautiful and supports my journey. so enjoy….

Not Just Sassy on the Inside

Even though it’s not Monday, I wanted to give some background to consider in the challenges I’ve started (see Monday’s post for the first) posting.  I’ve mentioned these ideas at scattered times in the past but not for a while. They’re important to understanding why I believe that healing within yourself helps to heal the world.

ONENESS

Oneness (Carlos Santana album) Oneness (Carlos Santana album) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

“We’re all one.”  It’s practically a mantra in the New Age/Spirituality movement but it’s hard to really comprehend.  We’re so tied to the image of ourselves as meat suits who end at the skin and are separate from one another.  The oneness arises, though, because we are so much more than the physical bodies with which we identify.

We’re really one.  Each and every one of us as integrally part of the whole as a twig or branch is part of the tree.  Just as interconnected…
