You’re Earth-based in This Life

I really am enjoying this warm January day that followed 2 feet of snow just 1 week ago. As the Earth strives to find its way, so do we. Brenda’s post is very powerful and easy to absorb. Enjoy your day and love your-self.

Even though some days fly by so rapidly you can’t remember what happened, other days are as before. Such is so because you’re no longer following the 3D linear pattern of you’re born and then you die. Your new pattern addresses and drops those baggage cars – not pieces – you collected for eons. Items that are at the small part of your elliptical time so your life holds more joy than fear.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

Post full Leo moon and pre Mercury stationing direct, wild times we find ourselves in! We accumulated close to 2 feet of snow in the Philadelphia region and I am glad I can wait awhile to dig out my car. It frees me up to make the most of this powerful energy. Mercury stations at 14° 55″ Capricorn at 4:50 PM EDT, which is very close to my natal Saturn. I have a sense of destiny coming alive in my life, still gaining momentum and preparing to take form.

I continue to cherish the contributions of those no longer with us. This seems to complement all the activity in my natal 12th house. Today I want to honor Glenn Frey, cofounder of the Eagles. The Eagles have been around for decades with such memorable hits such as Hotel California, Take it Easy, The Long Run, Lying Eyes, and Desperado. I have seen the Eagles once in concert and was quite taken with Don Henley, especially his solo work in the 1990s. But Mr. Frey began to enter my awareness once I discovered we share a birthdate ~ November 6th. Then I began paying more attention to his story. Glenn also struggled with intestinal difficulties so we also have that in common. Scorpio is linked to the lower digestive and reproductive systems. I have Pluto in Virgo, which accentuates the digestive challenges. Glenn has Saturn in Virgo ( conjunct my Pluto) so he also suffered the double whammy with intestinal woes. Yet he accomplished so much in his lifetime as a musician, writer, and actor.

Frey’s speech at the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony where he paid homage to Linda Ronstadt was quite poignant. Apparently he was smitten with her when she was seeing someone else. Another irony is that while Linda was too ill to participate in the Induction ceremony, she is still hanging on and Glenn has transitioned.

I posted watery images because water represents emotions and can be quite healing. Watching water in motion ( e- motion) can be a very peaceful activity.

While I enjoy many Eagle songs, Peaceful Easy Feeling is the one that seems most appropriate today. It also triggers a pleasant 12th house memory. On a sunny mid January day, many years ago, I had my first date with a man who would become my partner. I had just returned from Saint Maarten so I was sporting a tan. I was wearing hoop earrings on that day (I have excellent long-term memory, partially thanks to Mars in Cancer). We drove in his red convertible ( he has moon in Aries) where we went to a local burger place to eat. Outside of the parking lot he began to serenade me. While he was not a romantic guy in general, he had his moments. He sang Peaceful Easy Feeling and it was beautifully done. It was not his voice, but the sentiment that got my attention.

“Peaceful Easy Feeling”

I like the way your sparkling earrings lay,
Against your skin, it’s so brown.
And I wanna sleep with you in the desert tonight
With a billion stars all around.
‘Cause I got a peaceful easy feeling,
And I know you won’t let me down
’cause I’m already standing on the ground.
And I found out a long time ago
What a woman can do to your soul.
Oh, but she can’t take you anyway,
You don’t already know how to go.
And I got a peaceful easy feeling,
And I know you won’t let me down
’cause I’m already standing on the ground.
I get this feeling I may know you as a lover and a friend.
But this voice keeps whispering in my other ear,
Tells me I may never see you again.
’cause I get a peaceful easy feeling
And I know you won’t let me down
’cause I’m already standing…
I’m already standing…
Yes, I’m already standing on the ground
Oh, oh

Here is a video clip of Peaceful Easy Feeling from 1973

I was impressed that he chose a song that not only detailed my appearance, but probably echoed his ideas about our possible relationship. This is how music becomes interwoven into the fabric of one’s consciousness.

We need peace now more than ever before. Life is so exciting and can be very overwhelming in this age of info and techno overload, not to mention all the energetic activity seen and unseen. How can we cultivate a road to peace, irregardless of disappointment, delays, loss, illness, violence, confusion?

I am open to any and all suggestions. I wish you all peace and urge you to practice peace as part of daily living.

The Eagles recorded two popular songs about the city, In the City and You Belong to the City. They were popular while I worked for the City and whenever I heard them playing, I considered how they described some of my feelings about my situation. You Belong to the City was featured on the show Miami Vice, where Frey had a supporting role.

Here is a video of his performance.

Dexter Rising

Dexter circa 2011ish
Dexter circa 2011ish

The snow is really piling up outside and I am loving it. The header image was taken earlier today. I welcome the change of scenery as it evokes a new mood inside of me. When something novel happens at home, I automatically think of Dexter. He would have been glued to the windows propped up on hind legs, taking in the action.

Most long time readers know that Dexter had been an integral part of litebeing chronicles. His picture is on my about page and he is mentioned in several posts. He taught me more about love than everyone else combined. He loved hanging out in that special spot on my couch. This shot was taken many years ago, perhaps 2011 or 2012. My former cat Jasmine also fancied that very spot. Perhaps it is all mapped out in the top-secret feline handbook.

I worry that I may forget him more and more over time. I recall so little about Jasmine and she lived with me 16 years. Maybe this has more to do with the passage of time as it affects my consciousness. Part of grieving for me is the sadness as shared moments fade.

However, I experienced something odd and unusual that is definitely blog-worthy:

The pieces come together more in retrospect so I will walk you through it piece by piece. A few days ago I looked under my coffee table and discovered a whisker. I had not noticed it there before. I was filled with joy to find a piece of Dexter that remains intact ( on the physical plane.) I have held onto it, an angel’s feather if you will. Then a couple of days later I was dusting a bookshelf and took the decorations off the shelves. I put them on the floor. As I began putting them back up, I discovered a brightly colored round object. It is one of Dexter’s toys. I was amazed to see it. I thought that I had gathered them all up right after his passing.

Then I was led to google Dexter the Cat to see what came up. I learned about a comic character Dex-Starr. While there are many glaring differences, I enjoyed the narrative.

To learn more, visit this link:

The following morning, after discovering the toy and comic icon, I was involved in a mysterious interaction. I think it was a dream about being awake, but there could be multiple explanations. I was asleep in my bed and I felt this furry being above my head on the pillow. It was giving me furry head bumps. Then it rubbed its furry self on the top of my head. Dexter loved to run up on the pillows, despite my displeasure. He also was a fan of the occasional head bump. Then the scene went dark and I was petting this large cat on his head and his back. I did not see anything. He was warm and soft and very alive. A second or two later, I was laying in my bed recalling these events. I immediately thought of Dexter. My next instinct was to check the clock. It was a few minutes before 4:00 AM. That is prime liminal time.  There ares stories online about ghost cats visiting their owners ( parents).

Here is a link to a blog featuring a cool ghost cat video:

In my case, I did not see anything. My experience was strictly tactile. I have not as of yet seen any Spirits of deceased loved ones, or any Spirits at all. None that I am aware of. But this “visitation” combined with the previous events has me wondering what really happened.

I have missed him more intensely the past few weeks. The rhythms of grief differ from person to person.

Having this cosmic love exchange was just what I needed.

Get Off the Couch and Ride the Energetic Train

I just finished viewing the latest Matt Kahn video and I cannot wait to share it with you.

If you only watch 1 Matt Kahn video, watch this one.

If you only watch 1 video of any kind, watch this one!

This is the absolute best way to supercharge the new year. The lessons here are pure genius. I have been aggressively asking my guides to assist me with my next steps and I got my answers and then some.  Thank you!

How does he do it? It doesn’t matter, but I just had to ask. It felt as if he was addressing me directly, but maybe thousands of folks spend too much time on their couches. The title is Energy Upgrade. This tells you nothing and everything about what you will encounter here. How does he use material from Seinfeld to illustrate cosmic magnificence? Brilliantly. I want to say more, but that would spoil the fun. We can discuss later.

You will have to tune in to find out.

Musings ~ Aquarius is coming, thank you (insert Deity here)!

I wrote this exactly 2 years ago to the day. How can it be that we are already heading into Aquarius? Let’s welcome the lighter, zanier energy of Uranus.

Can I tell you how thrilled I am that the sun is changing over to Aquarius at 10:51 PM Eastern time?  Well I guess I can, because the blogging gods(esses) asked me to write today. The sun was out and despite the frigid temperatures, I felt some relief. I am not anti- Capricorn and we are still in my 12th house for a while, but I need some respite from Saturn. Yeah I know Saturn is the original ruler of Aquarius but this Aquarius rising has had enough of Saturn’s coldness lately. Even with the Pluto/Uranus square in play, I am ready for the zing and zap of Uranus and the altruism and ego transcendence of the ” Shift”.  This is not an ” Expert” article today. This is about amazing Aquarius art, emotion, nostalgia, and iconic music.

Fill Your Heart

David Bowie was truly an example of alchemy in action, a shape-shifter prophet who was unpredictable and impossible to contain. I am so happy to have been exposed to his music early in life. Spirit led me to share a beautiful piece of music that is as relevant today as when it was written. A more extensive post on his influence will appear in the near future., public domain

While I was re-visiting some of my Bowie music, I came across the Fill Your Heart  track from Hunky Dory. The lyrics remind me so much of Matt Kahn’s teachings as well as those from A Course in Miracles. This album was released in 1971. His ideas pre-date both ACIM channeled material as well as Matt’s Love Revolution. I see great symmetry among these sources and such uncharacteristic joy in Bowie’s voice.  I was “ called ” to offer this song while in the shower. The shower never fails me!

“Fill Your Heart”

Fill your heart with love today
Don’t play the game of time
Things that happened in the past
Only happened in your Mind
Only in your Mind-Forget your Mind
And you’ll be free-yea’
The writing’s on the wall
Free-yea’. And you can know it all
If you choose. Just remember
Lovers never lose
‘Cause they are Free of thoughts unpure [sic]
And of thoughts unkind
Gentleness clears the soul
Love cleans the mind
And makes it Free.

Happiness is happening
The dragons have been bled
Gentleness is everywhere
Fear’s just in your Head
Only in your Head
Fear is in your Head
Only in your Head
So Forget your Head
And you’ll be free
The writing’s on the wall
Free-yea’. And you can know it all
If you choose. Just remember
Lovers never lose
‘Cause they are free of thoughts unpure
And of thoughts unkind
Gentleness clears the soul
Love cleans the mind
And makes it Free!!Free-yea’. Yeah-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah [repeat]

While not everyone was a fan or even familiar with Bowie’s music, to many of us he was a visionary, otherworldly being who helped usher in a new way of self-expression.

Share My World ~ 2016 Edition

Here are my responses to this week’s Share Your World Challenge over at Cee’s Photography. Her challenges are tons of fun, but then there’s her flowers, WOW! Please check out her wonderful blog and you’ll see that Cee is all that!

This is a great crop of questions, so let’s dig in, shall we?

Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?

Why yes, I do. There was a time where it seemed unlikely to me. But after being exposed to Steven Spielberg, any doubts began to fade. The film Contact, which was inspired by Carl Sagan”s novel, sealed the deal. I have not had any encounters, except perhaps with myself. A psychic long ago did some past life work for me and stumbled upon something that surprised her. ” Your origins are not from this planet.”, she said.  At that time I was horrified, already feeling like such an outsider. But is any form of consciousness tethered to a planet anyway?

How many places have you lived? You can share the number of physical residences and/or the number of cities. pub domain

I have lived in four states. Born and bred in Brooklyn, New York and then I landed in Queens for a few years. Then I spent 3rd grade though 5th grade in Reading ( near Harrisburg) PA.  The end of 5th grade and most of 6th grade was spent in New Britain ( near Hartford) Connecticut. I remained in Cherry Hill, New Jersey from the end of 6th grade through high school. I moved to Phila, PA to attend college and never looked back. There have been several moves within Philadelphia but I have stayed in the NW section close to the Montgomery County border for almost 30 years. I moved to this neighborhood during my Saturn Return. That was the highlight of that transit for me. I often wondered why it was so meh. I figured it was because Saturn rules my 12th house of  ~ what is hidden, unconscious. Recently I took a fresh look and noticed that transiting Neptune was conjunct Saturn. So my transition to adulthood was  covered in fog. Aha, this makes sense!

I did not like living in either New York or Cherry Hill. I preferred Reading with its rolling hills, awesome Mt. Penn., and friendly people. I also enjoyed the woods of Connecticut and the allure that New England held for me. Returning to Pennsylvania truly felt like coming home.

If you given $22 million tax-free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do?

Impulsively I decided to play last week’s Powerball lottery. I fantasized about how to spend $1.5 Billion dollars. I quickly realized I do not want all that money. I then considered how to spend about $ 2 million. The first thing I would do is get a new car. Maybe something energy-efficient and cute like this: public domain

But in a different color, maybe something metallic. I did not win any money, but I stumbled upon a semi-premonition. Once I made the choice to play, I thought about where to buy my tickets. I was persuaded internally to go to a Wawa. I felt very good about this location. All 3 winning tickets in Pennsylvania were purchased at , you guessed it, Wawa. Now all I need is the winning numbers and I’m all set.

The Never List: What are things you’ve never done? Or things you know you never will do?

A short list:

Bungee jumping

Olympic try – outs

Becoming a Reality TV star * ( see item below)

Get plastic surgery * ( see item above)

*Plastic surgery and Reality TV probably go together.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I have 3 old David Bowie albums and my original turntable to play them on. I am also grateful that my new favorite miniseries Wayward Pines is returning this summer. I am grateful to have some repeat astrology clients to read for the next few weeks. I am also grateful that my local astrology group is under new management and has planned some exciting activities and amazing lecturers. I plan to attend their first meeting of 2016 tomorrow.

It is exciting when I see how my psychic abilities manifest. This gives me hope that I can create gold out of lead, metaphorically speaking. I had given up on Wayward Pines and just discovered yesterday that the announcement was made 1 month ago. This is quite puzzling. I google Wayward Pines frequently to check its status. How could I have missed this?  But I digress..

It is never too late to expand our awareness and re-calibrate our ideas. Something odd is beeping as I type these last few words. I guess it is a sign that Source is in agreement.

UPDATE ( about 15 minutes later) The beeping may have been an ET telling me to check my mail. Guess what I just found outside my door? My new Matt Kahn book.

Something else to feel grateful for.

3 Years in the Making

Happy 1-11 everyone!

Happy 3rd birthday aka blogiversary to litebeing chronicles!

It is triple exciting that my 3rd blogging year is on 1-11. It is 3 on steroids.

Number 3 is the essence of the Trinity  –  mind, body, spirit and is the threefold nature of Divinity.  The number 3 symbolizes the principle of ‘growth’ and signifies that there is a synthesis present – that imagination and an outpouring of energy is in action. To learn more about the magic of 3, please visit this blast from the past.

I wish I had completed this draft yesterday because today’s news of David Bowie’s passing shocked and saddened me. He is one of my favorite musicians/performers and I recently learned he is also an Aquarius rising!  I have been looking to see how this startling news connects with this third year of my blogging journey. This is what I have discovered:

Creativity is a life force and all material beings were created into this form. David Bowie apparently knew his condition was terminal and kept using his creative spark to bring more music onto the planet. As I lived my life this year one thought made a regular appearance ” I can use this for my blog.” I sometimes see myself existing here simply to blog. There is a very compelling quality inherent in my desire to write. While 3 years seems like a short amount of time, I don’t really remember my life prior to taking this step. While I hold many of my memories intact, my life has changed so incredibly. I doubt I even fully understand the impact of this change. Or ever will understand. I am becoming more and more comfortable sitting with mystery. While my curiosity is as fertile as ever, my willingness to receive information at the Divine Time has increased.

We breathe, grow, see, hear, touch, taste, love, fear, learn, forget, remember, awaken, breathe…..

Until we cease to breathe.

I want to continue my stay on Earth with love in my heart and creation emanating from each heartbeat. I can choose to say 2015 was a year of illness and loss or I can choose to say that all is well NOW. Both are true.

Around ten years ago another wise Capricorn advised me during a rough patch to ask myself how I was feeling in that very moment. What a revelation it was to discover that I was worry-free ( peaceful) in the now. I was surprised at the time to see how effective mindfulness can be. It is as effective now as it was over ten years ago. I am grateful that this very moment is all that is. My moods seem to shift much more quickly nowadays and without much effort. This awareness brings me comfort and leaves me enthusiastic about what else awaits me. Perhaps my vibration is rising?

These are the posts from the WordPress Year in Review report that got the most views in 2015.

  1. Scorpio ~ ahhhhh
  2. A Whole New World?
  3. Time Machine Blogging Challenge: It is Off the Chain. Whadya Waiting for? Join Us!
  4. Mosaic and Pointillism Art as Unity Consciousness
  5. Before Midnight – I’ll love you long after you’re gone, gone, gone

It is interesting that they are all very different in focus – freeform astro- poetry, music, trippy time travel, art, and film. The Scorpio and Before Midnight blogs are from 2013, which means they have staying power. This makes me smile…

This report also indicates that readers respond to a variety of content. I expect to still blog about art, music, film, books, pop culture, and astrology, and much more; typically as they apply to everyday magic. Some may wonder why I do not have a conventional astrology blog. The reasons are many, but here is the short answer: I prefer to share astro-musings as it suits me. I am not content to report on every astro-happening. It is not my style. There are so many writers who do a fantastic job in this vein. I rather wait for inspiration to strike and then an idea is made manifest.

I am a story-teller. At least today I am. Tomorrow I may shift into another mode. I once fancied myself a novelist, poet, screenwriter. I love to tell stories and evoke questions and discussion. This is my thing. I am so grateful that people respond to my writing. It is also incredible how I never know what becomes ” popular” among my posts. Rather than create to please others, I pray that what interests me will find its way to those who may benefit. I write because I must. It is a way of being. I never take it for granted for it is a gift.

A heartfelt thanks to Matt Wullenweg for creating WordPress. Happy 32nd Birthday Matt! Thank you for allowing me to say Hello World exactly 3 years ago today. I also want to acknowledge my fellow bloggers and readers who influence me tremendously. A striking photograph, a passing comment, or a clever turn of a phrase may send me off into an alternate universe where ideas are born. Thank you for being you and sharing this lifetime with me.

What does the future hold? I honestly don’t know. I am drawn to more discussions on ascension, everyday magic, the awakening process, unity consciousness, the love revolution of Matt Kahn, the lure of our dreams, and how inconvenience and risk-taking change my nature. I am blessed with a treasure trove of ideas that keep glowing during my darkest hours. Thank you for glowing with me.

namaste, litebeing

As a tribute to David Bowie and all artists everywhere, I will end with this anthem of my youth that still raises my heart rate whenever I hear it :

Spirit clearly approves ( look at the length of the video). What have I been saying for 3 years? Magic is everpresent.

#Blesstival ~ Behold Nature’s Mystical Call

This post is part the Blesstival series happening at Jamie’s blog ~ Sophia’s Children. The purpose is to spread blessings through this season of ” Newness”.

I found my offering by Mira via random poetry process, using the book Love Poems from God by Daniel Ladinsky.

Nature is one of the ways that Spirit speaks to me. The beauty and subtlety get me every time. So it is no surprise that I discovered this piece to share with you, a blessing from the natural world.

A Limb Just Moved

You taught Your songs to the birds first,

why was that?

And you practiced Your love in the hearts of animals

before You created man.

I know the planets talk at night

and tell secrets

A limb just moved before me,

the beauty of this world

is causing me to

Notice the planetary reference? I see this poem asking us to pay attention to nature in all its majesty and to remember our place in the circle of life on Earth. Take comfort in both its wisdom and ability to transport one back to Source.

I was unfamiliar with Mira before I opened the page to her poem. According to Ladinsky, Mira ( Mira bai) lived from 1498 – 1550 and was considered the most renowned female poet-saint of India. Apparently she was born a princess who was devoted to Krishna. She later became a rebel and champion of women’s rights. I think we would be friends!

To read up on Mira aka Meera,  please visit this site.

Thank you Jamie for creating this exercise. Love is my religion and blessings spread the love. Let’s be the love we want to see in the world.
