Here we are, about to bid goodbye to Scorpio once more. While I feel the most ” like me ” at this time, the Saturn influence has made this past month at times bittersweet and often cruel or painful. But I am still convinced that we all are loved at every moment.

So I am going to tell you a unique love story. It is the romantic tale between Astrology and me. Thank you to the reader who inquired if I blogged on my astrological beginnings. Your inquiry helped me realize that I have only briefly mentioned those early awakenings. Since now is such a great time to pontificate on all 8th house matters, I am capitalizing on the current energy ( 4 Scorpio placements: Sun, Moon ,Mercury and Saturn) by sharing my love affair tonight.

    1. So glad you enjoyed rereading this story. It has great significance to me and after spending some time with fellow astrologers this weekend it resonated even stronger. I am having a nice peaceful morning. Hope you are having a positive eclipse / full moon.

  1. Hey Linda,

A fascinating and thoroughly enjoyed read. You’ve had quite a journey, spiralling, spinning, arcing and circling through your life, but always, it seems, turning around your axis of Astrology, which remains a life-long companion walking your road with you. In an ever-changing world, it’s wonderful to have such stability, and a mechanism always in place to provide paths back home.

I thought your post wonderfully written with a distinctly softer-edge to your voice. The mood felt relaxed and calm, gentle but persuasive, unflustered yet reassured, and managed to effortlessly blend potted nostalgia with hear-felt warmth for Astrology, and life. I often think your writing brightens somehow, shines more, reflects more, and reveals more of you, when it is your heart speaking of its passions and interests in your words. Good to see your smile still as fresh and bright as a spring day 🙂 Most enjoyable, thank you Linda.

Hoping all is well in Litebeing-ville and the sun is shining inside and outside in equal measure 🙂

Enjoy your afternoon and evening. Take care always in all ways.

    Namaste

    1. hey Dewin,

      Happy Easter if you celebrate,
For me it is an extension of Spring with the Scorpio twist of transformation, reinvention cycle.
I am curious about this paragraph in your comment:

Thank you certainly for the compliment about this piece. But please clarify what you mean regarding my writing tone or style. Most of my writing is heart based to some degree, depending on the topic. I am primarily a story teller, without any pejorative New Age hoopla about one’s “story”. For me, story is not about bad thought forms; it is about how my writing has roots in the ancient practice of gathering around the fire or central gathering place, and conveying engaging and inspirational wisdom to be conveyed to future generations. Not to be grandiose, but story-telling is an important and underutilized tool in modern society.

      peace,
      Linda

      1. Hey Linda,

Happy Easter, or Happy ‘Extension of Spring with a Scorpio Twist of Transformation, Reinvention Cycle’ 😉 If your celebration also brings a national day’s holiday as we have in the UK then I hope you have enjoyed the extended weekend and have had far better weather than us as well. 🙂

You’ve given me an assignment. Lol 🙂

I reflect back on ‘Ah Scorpio’, and recall enjoying the fluency with which that post was written, and the ease with which your thoughts flowed, they felt uninterrupted. I find myself thinking of it as a marker, a standard if you like, that (best?) describes so much about you. Your words and thoughts in that post are direct and distinct, without pause, ponder or sway in their flow. They feel intuited and unreasoned, there has been no need for you to deliberate, speculate, or consider. Your words just are. I think of the love affair you have with Astrology, and your engagement and consideration in writing this post, and I am left with the impression that it enjoys the same sense of literal freedom and essential passion in your thoughts and words. You speak with gentle self-reflexive humour and a deeper sense of self-knowing, and collect together in one-album a pleasurable batch of memories along your time-line of good times and happy days. I never think one has to shout about knowing what is closest in their heart; words somehow choose themselves to carry our voice and sing our song. Your words are gentle, soft, and calm, with an inner strength and deep sense of contentment, and the story I find very warming as a consequence. 🙂

Hoping all is well in Lind-ville and life finds you in good-cheer 🙂 Have a wonderful week.

        Take care 🙂

      2. hey Dewin,
now you know what’s its like on the other side of your inquiries, haha! Scorpio, ahh! was very popular, much to my surprise. It appears effortless, but did require time and editing. Many of the main ideas were readily available since they are based on a lifetime with the Sun and 2 other planets in Scorpio.

Poetry oughta appear effortless and in the flow, so that’s a good thing. My musings will often be laced with tentativeness, as that is my style of late. It could change, anything is possible. I am pleased that you have standards for my writing, very Virgo of you! I do not have a formula, I just have to be satisfied before a push publish. And I am known to re-edit after publication, as I often notice errors or missteps in the light of day.

Thanks for caring enough to communicate your opinions here.

        peace and Namaste,
        Linda

  2. Thanks for sharing this one, Linda. I enjoyed reading through your “how it all started” love-affair story with astrology. And definitely smiled at the spiro-graph and slinky references. Made me think of Spin-Art, too … remember that one? Very lovely. 🙂
