Pure Love Renaissance ~ Behold the Magic Carpet

Today’s post practically wrote itself. Today the sun made its ingress into Aries, signaling the vernal equinox and Spring in the Northern Hemisphere ( Happy Autumn to all my readers in the Southern Hemisphere.) A mere few hours later Venus joined Neptune at 10 degrees Pisces. A sublime combination of energies, if I say so myself.  This combination sparked the beginning of the title, Pure Love ( Neptune Venus) Renaissance ( Vernal Equinox, aka Spring). Confirmation of random love is evident via the whimsical heart adorning my yummy soy latte.

But what about the magic carpet? Glad you asked!

While conversing with Mike about his latest blog ( which I highly recommend) , I mentioned that the singer he featured reminded me of Annie Haslam from the band Renaissance. I quickly became reacquainted with my favorite Renaissance classic, Carpet of the Sun.

Here are some of the lyrics that stood out today:

I really believe I was tuned into this material intuitively. The lyrics and band name really reflect today’s themes of new life and universal connection. The carpet reference conjured up visions of mystical magic carpet rides. The current mars in Sagittarius energy loves big adventures.  So here we go…….

I have been imagining magic carpets for a few months actually; perhaps yearning for more freedom, intrigue, and autonomy. Could this demonstrate one route that manifestation can take? I certainly hope so.

I am definitely smitten with the union of Venus with Neptune, although it is not an aspect found in my natal chart. I do think that this transit summons the better part of human nature, where we soar to Divine heights of unconditional universal love. Gaia certainly could use more love and less discord at this time.

I have had a busy weekend catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Last night I celebrated International Astrology Day at a NCGR fundraiser held at the lovely October gallery. While I definitely can feel the rush of the impending Lunar Eclipse, there is also a whisper of hope in the air. The magic carpet is heading our way…

    1. There is definitely an overlay and I am not sure what to make of it. So thrilled today is sunny and warm and full of flowering plants and critters. This magic carpet had sparked a few folks and that makes me smile. 🙂

      Renaissance is one of those oldies but goodies of the Uranus Pluto conjunction era. The chorus has stuck in my head and I am enjoying the buzz.

      How are you? I am okay, could be better, but certainly okay. Happy you stopped by with an “assignment” for me. I will consider your questions and get back to you. The short answer though, is this: freedom is relief from restrictions, autonomy is room to maneuver and exert your free will, and intrigue is those mysterious, unusual elements that arouse curiosity and engagement. Are you asking where would I travel or what I would do with these 3 ideals?

        Good to hear you’re okay and determined to be better…I like the sound of your commitment. I’m okay as well, thanks for asking; although I still wish it were the weekend! 🙂

        Words like ‘freedom’, ‘autonomy’ and ‘intrigue’ are far-reaching in their meaning and interpretation, and I was curious to understand your definitions in the context of your post. I like the short answer you’ve given, but even that can be unpacked further. So yes, how will these ideals manifest in your life? And if travel is an option or opportunity for you, where would you travel to, and why?

        I had always thought of magic carpets as being similar to ‘wind horses’…magical ‘vehicles’ or ‘devices’ of the Psyche, able to transport thoughts to and fro between reality and the kingdoms of our heart and imagination. I had never envisaged them as physical objects before, but I guess they are, for it is our thoughts that take us where we wish to go in reality. You’ve got me thinking now of where I’d go on my magic carpet! I’ll have to consider this further, and get back to you 🙂

  6. Love the pictures, especially the painting in the middle. Miracles and magic carpets are always an option for long-distance traveling:-)
    I see that you really long to travel and feel the freedom and adventure.
    Interestingly, the subject of traveling comes up a lot for me these days via conversations at lunch or post in the WP reader and also in dreams. I wonder what that means. Unlike you, I do not long for traveling at the moment. I feel that it would cause stress for me. But the universe bombards me with messages about travel. A recent dream told me very specifically that an exotic surprise journey was planned for me starting at March 23rd, and I was supposed to take some sort of vitamin pills before in order not to get sick on that journey. Hmm, I wonder why that is. I have interpreted it as metaphorical message.
    Order your magic carpet, unfold your butterfly wings, and then let’s meet halfway beetwen Germany and the US somewhere;-)

    1. Maybe you do not have the travel bug because you have done some travel recently and/or it is not your thing. and yet the topic is active for you now. Keep me posted about tomorrow’s 3/23 journey! I long to travel and have much motivation. It is about making it happen regarding resources. It we met halfway it would be in the Atlantic Ocean, lol!

      1. On the 3/23, I had a dream about traveling to Iran. I don’t know why that is. Maybe because I have a friend here who is from Iran?
        I think the travel prognosis for me is metaphorical. Journey often means the spiritual journey in my dreams.
        All I know is that I feel very exhausted right now, and maybe that was the whole point. To let me know in a dream that I would need to take a vacation in order to rest and integrate.
        I don’t think that I am usually sensitive to the energies about which the esoteric wheather forecasts are speaking. But since early March, I am just feeling very exhausted. Tired, brainfog, flu-ish, sluggish. Maybe I do feel these energies after all.
        I read a channeling which describes that the tiredness is number one of the symtpoms right now. That is comforting to know that this is normal and will hopefully pass.

      2. There could be astrological reasons pertaining to your chart causing your fatigue. We can discuss this offline. It will pass as long as you take good care of you.     having just moved from Mass. to south Jersey…with spring in the air and the sight of bulb flowers coming to life again…. this scorpio is hoping for , and looking forward to a refreshing spring with a new abode and outlook for the future.
