While I wish my Italy photos were digital, sadly my trip was pre-internet. Thinking of my beloved Italy, especially the Lombardy region ~ Milano, Bergamo, San Pellegrino, Lake Lugano, Pavia, Lake Maggiore and the entire region, where I spent the majority of my time. Wonderful people, sumptuous beauty, and yummy food!

Sometimes traveling somewhere distant can take you right ” home.” I was incredibly fortunate to spend a few magical weeks travelling throughout Italy. As an Italian American , spending some time in the land of my ancestors helped me appreciate some of the origins of my love of food, art, history, and la dolce vita. I was transported to a realm Eckhart Tolle calls spaciousness while visiting cathedrals. Words can barely describe how I feel when I am in the presence of these breathtaking works of art so I will let the images speak to you.

Italy is truly a magnificent place, and I have been there several times… There is really nothing to compare their beautiful art and cathedrals ..
My own visits too were before digital cameras.. 🙂

Sue, I so agree. I weep for all the loss and pray to be able to hold a vision for a shiny bright peaceful reboot, with minimum loss of life and maximum love and joy. ❤

Likewise Linda.. In our own country we have systems in place for helping them, but my heart goes out to all of those who are homeless, and especially in poorer countries where they are left to fend for themselves and not helped at all.. I see people will literally starve on streets as no previsions are made for them.. We need now more than ever to co-create a better society for ALL out of all of this experience…
And maybe Linda that is what it is teaching us…
I read an article only this morning where Formula One Teams have come together to help build ventilator equipment… We all of us will have to change and adapt into new methods and models of living.. I feel nothing is ever going to go back to how it was… From the Elite to the Beggar.. Change is here…. And its up to each of us how we wish that change to progress…
It may well get ugly, before it gets better, but this is the purging of the wheat from the chaff.. I have long known would happen, and in my bones I knew 2020 would be significant, but never even in my own visions did I think it would happen so rapidly in this fashion, in this shut-down-reset-around the whole world…
Sending love your way Linda.. and take care of yourself also my friend… ❤ 🙏

For me absolutely the most wonderful country I have ever visited, though I have only travelled around Europe, so can only refer to what is here. It breaks my heart when I think about Italy right now.

Yes Monica, Italy is spectacular and just like Poland, my ancestors called it home. My heart breaks so and wonder about the fate of all the lovely people I spent time with all those years ago.
