Hey litebeings, I received my Reiki 1 attunement last night from Reiki Master and friend Sarah at Ocean Dreams Energy Healing and will report on this later. In the meantime, I have been wanting to share this 7 year old post for some time. It is my first experience receiving distance reiki and man was it powerful! The practitioner and former blogger Heidi went on to build a successful practice in the UK and I think of our connection made here at WP often.

I want to shout it from the digital rooftops  Reikiworks!! I hope that I grabbed your attention dear readers, because you are in for a treat.

First I will share some background: I really am open-minded when it comes to alternative healing. I prefer it to Western Medicine because I abhor tests and am allergic and/or have lousy reactions to many medications. While I am lucky to have found some wonderful doctors who really care about me, their methods don’t seem natural. I am not dispensing medical advice here, just sharing my preferences! I was a fan of chiropractic medicine long before it became popular in the US. I learned so much about the body and healing from my amazing chiropractor over the years.   2. Hey! That’s awesome! Finally the day came when Reiki chose you. I guess it already did when you received healing back then. I feel your excitement. I remember the first time i was attuned to Reiki, i just couldn’t stop laughing! Usually i tell people so much about the wonderful thing that Reiki is and how it changes our lives. But i guess, when the student is ready to learn, opportunity arises or something like that. I’m sure you are feeling elated right now, even though i’m late with my reply. But time is a relative concept. Anyhoo, wishing you good luck!

    1. Thank you so much for your exuberance about Reiki! I am very much a newbie and my moods keep shifting as I have a lot on my plate, plus I have been ill off and on for several weeks through this process. I enjoy sending reiki to food and plants and my house and me and then waiting to see what I feel and notice. I do expect that I will notice more as I practice more and as “time”moves on.

  5. This is wonderful Linda!! Congratulations on your Reiki 1 attunement and training..it’s such an empowering step. I believe all things unfold in divine timing and your session with Heidi was one of those beautiful stepping stones to aligning with Sarah now.     1. Hi Ka, Heidi was not my teacher but she gave me this session I blogged about. My teacher is Sarah and she runs Ocean Dreams Energy Healing. She just moved back to Oregon and is a lovely person. So nice to hear from you ❤
