Reiki, Energetic Gifts, and More ~ The Transition to the Next Golden Age

What is there left to say about 2020? I was initially excited that another Metal Rat Year was in motion, but now I know that the first Metal Rat year in my lifetime ( my birth year) was much more pleasant and hopeful . While I hold no illusions that a new calendar year will extinguish all of 2020’s horror and  loss, I do believe in the power of collective intention and action.

Let me briefly share some updates and well wishes as we cross the finish line and enter 2021:

Tiger’s Eye Owl
Ocean Jasper found only in Madagascar, the name of one of my guides.

I have been devoting more of my time to learning experientially about energetics and it is a slow process. I have known about chakras, reiki, and crystals for some time but never truly put in the effort to get a handle on how they work or my relationship with them. Some folks have asked me to share more about my reiki experience so here is a brief update: I received my final attunement for Reiki I certification in October and it seemed to coincide with more GI distress. My health continues to be unstable since the summer and I continue to adjust and find ways to help heal and soothe my physical form. What I have discovered so far is that Reiki becomes more obvious with more consistent application. Sometimes my meals taste better and my plants grow stronger after I apply Reiki. Other times I do not notice any change. I also notice that Reiki seems to be stronger when I lay down to receive it. My hands do seem warmer to the touch and my body begins to warm from the feet on up. While I do not see definitive shifts in my health, I sense that there is some improvement. I will keep practicing and be patient. It does seem miraculous that I now have access to this powerful energy, but don’t we all have access to more than we know?

Meeting more people online has led to more joy and discoveries. One recent example is some amazing abundance via Facebook. Through a FB group I attended a holiday crystal sale/auction. While I did not “know the ropes” of this process, I ended up with two beautiful pendants. The first is a tiger eye owl that I bought early on in the event. I learned that tiger eye is associated with the solar plexus chakra and offers protection. I am very drawn to earth tones and Owl is one of my totems. It is quite odd that two of us wanted the same pendant and I did not use the proper terminology in securing the sale. The other woman who wanted the owl decided to let me purchase it because I declared my intent first. I thanked her and found that to be very kind.

I actually won this gorgeous Ocean Jasper  pendant adorned with 2 spirals in a giveaway for those who made a purchase. This was curious because a few of us chose 111 for the random drawing and entered the contest earlier. I felt very fortunate, especially when I learned about Ocean Jasper’s connections to the heart chakra,  bringing forth happiness and relaxation. Jasper tends to be a good fit for me and the lovely spirals are quite powerful symbols.

I did a 4 card tarot reading for myself with the Goddess Tarot Deck for the Cancer full moon and 3 of the 4 cards contained swords, signaling the end of difficulty and suggesting the use of intellect and communication. I also pulled a new card for me, the Walawak/Oppression. It was drawn upside down, so here is the reversed card meaning :

Reversed: Though your situation may feel overwhelming and intimidating, hidden forces are at work to transform things for the better. Be patient.

Considering my employment and health status, I see this as incredibly hopeful. It was really the perfect message to receive as 2020 comes to a close.

I know as an Astrologer that 1-1-21 is an artificial demarcation and could choose from a number of dates to be a more suitable time to start a new year. But what matters is where and to what we attribute meaning. The collective ritualization of New Year’s Eve on 12-31 and New Year’s day on 1-1 gives these days power and agency. So I woke up today after an amazing dream of seeing a glowing star/ ship? in the sky feeling peaceful and more relaxed that I have in days. Both of my friends and my mother are healing well and the friend who had a life threatening illness is out of the woods! The mail today included some surprise cards and gifts that left me feeling a completion.

As I exit 2020 I am grateful for all of you who travel with me on my path of awakening, being there for some or  all the moments since I began blogging almost 8 years ago.  Your presence is such a precious gift. Thanks to all who have donated to the blog and who have gotten readings or participated in blog challenges. I appreciate you ❤ !

I will leave you with another find of 2020, the music of Tim Janis. His videos combine soothing music with up close images of Gaia’s bounty. The marriage of music and photography are stunning. As you view the video, imagine the world you want to create. The Golden Age aka Age of Aquarius is already here in some form. It is up to all of us to uncover the  glorious new possibilities that have been obscured by the negativity. Here’s to more excavation and alchemy, bringing us closer to the New Earth. I wish everyone the reversed Wawalak blessings, an end to oppression for all time. Utilizing energetics may also be a tool for the way forward.

Blessings to you in 2021 and beyond!

Litebeing’s Change Challenge

What light bulb flashes have you received from the Quantum Field?

12/28/20 Update: As this year winds down, please make some time to catch up on all the challenge posts you may have missed. All of them are listed with links right here on the Challenge Post Calendar. Scroll down and they await your view!

Thanks to everyone who participated, the regulars mixed in with the new, who wrote from the heart in an attempt to answer some difficult questions. It is always cool how these challenges foster new connections as people visit new blogs and discover kindred ( or complementary) spirits.

For those who are interested, this is also a great time to ask yourself the challenge questions and delve into your inner mysteries. I hope your holiday festivities were fulfilling and joyous.

September is upon us and it has been almost six months since my State was on lock down and my job went remote. You all know how the rest went down. While it does not feel like a typical Fall season to me, it DOES feel right to introduce a new blogging challenge!

Litebeing Chronicles has held a yearly blogging challenge every year except 2019. For some reason, I was not inspired and I let it go. At this point inspiration has taken root and I am excited to propose this challenge to all my faithful readers and writers. We have had such a fun time with the various challenges and I know we can all use more fun in our lives.

So here’s the theme: How have you changed internally? Can you share some new thoughts, ideas, projects, attitudes that have sprung up as a result of your evolution? This challenge is about describing how you have integrated the lessons from this “unprecedented time” and how you have seen your unique transformation unfold.

Before writing this up, I drew a Four card spread for the Pisces Full Moon. The Judgment Card came up as the final card in the spread, which is a summary of the reading.

Goddess tarot deck by Kris Waldherr

Meaning : Time for a major and necessary change in life: often welcome, but frightening because of its magnitude. Confidence in this change.

Clearly this card validated that this is the Divine Time for this theme to be executed.

This will be a very low maintenance project. I do not want this to be a chore. Trust me on this!

Instructions:

1- Choose a date between now and 12-31-2020.

2-Write about your insights, ideas, and evolution.

3-Contact me with the date of your choice to post on your blog or site. Give me your name, the date and the link to your site. I will track the dates as I  have done with past challenges.

4-On the date you have chosen, publish you post and link back to this page, mentioning Litebeing Chronicles Change Challenge. That’s it, simple right?

Odds and Ends:

Life will go on without a cute challenge badge, however if you want to create one, please contact me in the comments below, or here.

Please share with your friends and/or social network. I always welcome new people to the party.

You have 3 months to write, but please do not take three months to decide. I want this to be lowkey, but I also want to remind you that time is flying by at warped speed.

Please speak to me if you have any questions about the theme. This is not a challenge about the pandemic or masks vs no masks, etc. This IS a challenge about owning and expressing how this journey has transformed you inside and out.

To illustrate, I will give you an example from my life: As a psychic human, I figured out at some point that prediction times are irrelevant because thought and form occur outside of linear time. I understood this and I talk and write about it regularly. And yet, I now grasp this at an entirely new level. My awareness has expanded. Case in point, a few days ago I was re-reading part of my travel journal to Europe from 1991. There was a few pages left over from the trip and I used them to continue with my routine journal notes. I was interested in seeing what happened that year because I have not read this journal in decades. This tiny purple ( of course ) book was in a desk drawer, mostly forgotten. I quickly scanned the pages, looking for anything that might be significant in the present moment. I saw my reaction to a visit with a channel who I consulted with annually, either in a group or individually. She stated that the US government would fall apart. I wrote how I found this news scary. It is happening now, 29 years later! This revelation drove the point home that all timelines occur simultaneously and I am now truly “living this truth.”

I hope you are excited about participating in this blogging challenge. I have missed collaborating with all of you and am eager to hear about how you are growing and creating.

While composing this post, an old song from the Brady Bunch popped into my head, I enjoy the irony about showing a YouTube video about change set in the 1970s! If you listen to the lyrics you will see that they resonate with this new world of 2020.

The Problem is the Solution: Honoring the Journey of the New Year

Another insightful reflection on 2020 and beyond from Dana. Working with what is and using it as a foundation is practical and wise medicine.

The Druid's Garden

Sunrise through the mist…the way may be uncertain but the sun will rise again

In Permaculture Design, one of the most challenging principles to enact is “The problem is the solution.” It seems simple on paper: you have a serious problem before you, perhaps seemingly insurmountable or overwhelming.  Instead of reacting negatively to the problem, you look for how the problem presents unique opportunities.  You resee your practices, hone them, make changes, and adapt to the problem so that that adaptation becomes a strength. In other words, you make lemonade from lemons–but more than that, you may actually improve your approach by having to consider new options to overcome obstacles.  A simple example: I have a wet, muddy spot in my yard due to the downspout on my house.  Rather than see this as a problem, I turn it into a lush rain garden, which is not only beautiful but…

UPDATE: I was thinking about this post this morning but could not recall the title. I was focused on setting intentions for 2021. Fortunately it showed up today in my stats because someone viewed it, so I was able to reread it with joy! I am so loving that this is the last week of the year. I cannot recall another time when I savored crossing over the finish line to a prescribed new beginning. I have learned that setting intentions is a delicate process and often not getting what you want is better for inner growth. And yet, I am so appreciative now of what I can do and what I will accept. Simply breathing in the air and absorbing the sunshine is a gift with an expiration date.

I have not set my intentions yet but I plan to do it Dr. Joe Dispenza’s way, merging joy with visioning the future as NOW.

What are your intentions for 2021? Blessings to all on this Sunny Sunday!

I had a totally different post in mind for today, but it just ain’t ready and I am not going to force it. I am led to write today since the transits mimic my own: Sun in Scorpio / Moon in Gemini.

It is my time and the sun is about to set, my favorite time of day. The sky is a flush with pink streaks gliding upon a greyish blue backdrop. So here we go:

My heart has been opening more to the notion that life can be fun. No more small Saturn living for me, it is all about my solar return MH exactly conjunct my natal Jupiter! Double wow since Jupiter rules my natal MH. For the non astrologers, I am choosing to focus only on the exuberant, loving, benevolent, generous energies. They are extraordinary and so are we. Living is miraculous and this truth is often overlooked or minimized. My desire to travel has been on hold long enough. I wrote a poem in  1897 ,  no I meant 1987 ,  about Peru and Morocco. I have been imagining visiting  these places for even longer than that. My soul requires adventure and exotic locales.  I spent my birthday this year near Delaware at Longwood Gardens ( post in pre-production)  and making that short pilgrimage moved my Solar Return MH just  close enough to kiss natal Jupiter. I did not plan for that to happen, but my desire to travel on my birthday created a new energetic reality.

So what else is on the agenda?

How Good Can It Get?

I am in Mexico City and the surrounding regions ~ the land of the Aztecs, Frida Kahlo , and Diego Rivera. Ancient ruins and MesoAmerica, woohoo!

I am awestruck in  Machu Picchu, Peru. ( no words)

I am dancing in Morocco, celebrating the wonders of Marrakech.

I am embracing Brazil, especially Rio and Sao Paulo.

I am ” back home” in India, gazing upon the Taj Mahal once again, and consuming more Indian food than deemed possible.

I am hanging out with my circle in Bali.

I am drinking so much coffee in Seattle and meandering about the glorious Pacific Northwest. Tacoma, Portland ( Portal – land), check!

I am grooving in Sedona with all sorts of litebeings.

I am rocking the Grand Canyon.

The South has been calling my name and the livin’ is easy in Atlanta, Asheville, Savannah, San Antonio, Houston, Charleston, and New Orleans. I am also back in FLA, digging all things Disney , South Beach, and savoring Key Lime pie ~ where else but Key West!

I am thrilled to be in Chicago, a city that has eluded me for too long.

I am castle and cathedral hopping throughout all of Europe, including France, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Great Britain, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, and all of Scandinavia. Barcelona, Paris, London, Copenhagen, Brussels, I am so there!

I am chasing windmills in Amsterdam.

I am revisiting California, Hawaii, Jamaica, Italy, Switzerland, and Canada because I have so much more to explore and people to see!

I am digging the vibes on Malaysia.

I am savoring sushi in Japan.

I am prayerful in the temples throughout Asia and the Middle East.

I am checking out my Eastern European ancestral roots in Germany, Belarus, Poland, the Ukraine, Russia, and wherever else I am from.

I am communing with nature on safari in Kenya and Tanzania.

I am grooving in Pittsburgh because I can! So cool to traverse the entire state of Pennsylvania.

I am writing for TMA so I can hang out with all my astrology writer friends in print and celebrate the synastry of TMA’s chart and mine!

I am finally chatting with Oprah outside of Dreamtime. She really loves my book on mystical experiences and is interviewing me about it on Super Soul Sunday.

I am marveling with delight at Stonehenge, the great Pyramids and Niagara Falls! ( not necessarily in that order.)

I am immersed in knowledge at the Edgar Cayce Foundation in Virginia Beach.

I am meeting all of my blogger friends near and far in one big global party.

and, I totally rocked my job interview tomorrow.

And that’s just for starters!

This 2020 Reflections post is part of the Litebeing’s Change Challenge with the theme: How have you changed internally? Can you share some new thoughts, ideas, projects, attitudes that have sprung up as a result of your evolution (of the past year of 2020)?

Click below for audio version

I can safely say that this past year, this year of the Corona virus, and of political and social unrest, my dragon has dredged up some deep inner issues. One of which was a physical issue that has been both terrifying and humbling.

One that sent my mind into fear, anger and hopelessness.

Can you share some new thoughts, ideas, projects, attitudes that have sprung up as a result of your evolution? This challenge is about describing how you have integrated the lessons from this “unprecedented time” and how you have seen your unique transformation unfold.

This is kind of an odd challenge for me to participate in because for me the pandemic has mostly been like a pesky fly in the background, buzzing around and annoying, but not actually impacting my life all that much. Some external habits have changed but otherwise my life has been so much more impacted by personal events that Covid just doesn’t seem like a big factor. Any inner realizations have arisen more because of the earth-shaking issues among loved ones than anything to do with the…

Matisse The Dance

An Enchanted Excursion

Matisse

Today is a remarkable day in a a series of remarkable days within the scope of a remarkable year. All time is composed of moments, one breath at a time. My day has brought sadness, learning I did not get the job for which I had recently interviewed. Two subsequent mishaps or accidents that occurred within this past half hour signaled to me that I am not fully feeling my emotions: sadness. anger, disappointment, fear, and whatever else has not come to the surface. It is interesting that while intellectually getting the news resulted in muted feelings, hurting my foot and spilling my lunch on the floor triggered quite strong theatrics!

I wanted to have a new job going into a new year, some way forward. Yet I am more at peace with the knowledge that I do not always get what I want when I want it, or in the form I want it, or sometimes not at all. But to quote Mick Jagger ” You get what you need.” and we always do, whether our ego agrees or approves. Everything truly does happen for a reason and rarely for the reason you think. I am starting to see this more clearly now.

I have much to be grateful for and have manifested quite a few unexpected goodies, especially since September. In fact I was granted another full scholarship to study at the Barnes, this time for a course I suggested as a recommendation when completing a student survey. The topic is Seurat and Pointillism, a match made in heaven as this is my favorite painter and technique. Also, it is important to note I saw the course offering on my Facebook feed. I was not seeking anything out, quite content to revel in Matisse a while longer. My point is that I tend to attract more of what I want when I am not putting much energy into acquiring it. I have seen this pattern operate more than a few times in my life, validating both my natal and human design chart emphasis on receiving through invitation or initiation by others. I have become a bit more at ease with entering the flow and focusing less on “productivity. ”

So let’s shift gears to celebrate a blessing that resulted in an extraordinary afternoon back in October. At the time, I considered that my trip to the Barnes Foundation would be an advance Birthday celebration. Looking back, it truly was manna from the Divine, a thank you for agreeing to live through 60 years of 3D smoke and mirrors, illusion and confusion for all of us congregated here collectively now. Admission is free for all students, including parking, so other than a few dollars for lunch, it was a present a few weeks early.

I am appreciative of the following:

A chance to drive to center city in the throes of fall foliage.

Walking around a beloved landmark of culture, taking in Matisse and the abundance of paintings , furniture, and other creations with fresh eyes.

Having a pleasant extended conversation with a live person, a kind man who works at the Barnes and guided me to the Matisse rooms. We discussed art, the Barnes classes, and I felt alive again in a way that I have not in months.

Plenty of time and space to look at the art, which is unusual for a museum of this stature.

Eating outside in a lovely outdoor space, seeing people while I eat! The meal was simple but delicious, a warm turkey swiss sandwich on a croissant with green goddess dressing that I could have bathed in. It was that yummy! Dessert was a pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese icing that was soft and light and scrumptious.

Other than the required mask wearing and other precautions, it felt normal to roam around this awesome place, surrounded by beauty and people who also love art. This was remarkable at the time and still is today. Currently the Barnes is closed up again.

Seurat

I have included a few Matisse quotes given to us from the course instructor that align so well with my own sensibilities.

“The artist or poet possesses an inner light which transforms objects
to make a new world of them – sensitive, organized, a living world which
is in itself an infallible sign of divinity, a reflection of divinity”

“The attempts to possess the light and space in which I live gave me
the desire to see myself with a different space and light, which would
allow me to grasp more profoundly, the space and light in which I do
live, if only to become more conscious of them”

“I have always been taken by the character of light, which bathes objects
of my contemplation, and often I asked myself during my meditations,
what would be the particular light in the South Seas.”

Matisse

Fun Matisse Facts:

He often featured windows in paintings, adding a bit of the outdoors into the room.

He suffered from anxiety and insomnia.

While he lived in France, travel was a delight and adventure.

Matisse’s background in textiles lent itself to featuring fabrics in many of his works and the use of cutouts later in his career.

Bold colors mixed with patterns often appear in Matisse’s paintings.

Over time his style evolved from wider brush strokes and more undefined features ( on portraits) to finer strokes and more realistic figures.

Please enjoy a few more images from my visit. I wish you could have been with me in person, but am grateful we can share these moments virtually.

Saturn in Aquarius Special Offer on All Services

Yesterday we had a snowstorm and it was lovely. This year I am welcoming any indication that we are in fact moving through time. Living in a place that has seasonal changes gives me hope for the future. Major planetary shifts are another reason for hope of a brighter time ahead. Saturn changing signs from Capricorn to Aquarius occurred early this morning EST and waking up to a winter wonderland heralds a shift in perspective. While traditional astrologers attribute both Capricorn and Aquarius’s rulership to  Saturn , Aquarius and Capricorn could not be more different. We move from earth to air, female to male, cardinal to fixed, duty to freedom, climbing to flight, isolation to socialization, conformity to rebellion, and so on…
View of the dear old oak who lives very close to my terrace
We could look to 1991 to get a feel for what Saturn’s stay in Aquarius might resemble but my hunch is that this is a completely new gameplan. Today’s transit is the very beginning of the end of the Big Three in Capricorn cycle that began with the Saturn Pluto conjunction of January 2020. Saturn is the first to separate further from Pluto and forge new ground. While Saturn prefers Capricorn energies, Jupiter is more at home in Aquarius and the 2 will be conjunct at the Solstice ( 4 days from now!) While I am merely speculating , I am sensing that this could be the beginning of the collective coming to the foreground in government and other systems. Maybe more technology that provides security from cyber attacks. Social programs and funding for the “common people ” and a shift to cooperation and fairness in income distribution , along with power rising from the grassroots.  Also innovations in architecture, revamping of archaic monetary and banking systems , and  eradication of draconian regimes.  Maybe the start of the Aquarian Age?

Well I can dream , can’t I?

Most readers know that anytime we land in Aquarius, I sense a rebirth coming. While I do not relish the eventual return of Saturn to my ascendant, I do welcome the influx of fresh air energy. Please share your thoughts on this transit in the comment section. What do you think the Aquarian energies will bring?

Ghost of Christmas Photos Past

While scrolling through my media files, I realized that I had not shared many of my pictures taken last Christmas at Longwood. I have not been back since, letting my membership lapse because of the pandemic. I do plan to return sometime, sooner rather than later. In the meantime let me show some of these images now so they can be enjoyed by you!

I would suggest listening to this music box while you scroll or stroll down memory lane circa Christmas 2019:

I was lucky enough to have an incredible “home like” holiday meal on the way to the Gardens. The lines were long at Hank’s Place but the food is amazing. The roast turkey platter taste’s just like moms ( or better!) If you are local, please support this small business. I can vouch for their greek specialties and omelettes as well.

To quote Joni Mitchell ” Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got till its gone? ” I could really use a trip to Longwood now. Yes, they are open but with heavy restrictions. Sometimes it is best to wait until the time is right and it is not right for me yet.  At least I have plenty of fond memories and hundreds of images at my disposal.

What memories do you hold dear from this time last year?

Growing through Challenging Times | 2020 Reflections

Having Julie back to join the challenge is another gift of this wacky year. We all live in different realities and it is a blessing when intentions and circumstances align to rekindle friendships. Julie is a sweet, talented healer and renaissance woman who entered my life shortly after I began blogging in early 2013. It brings me joy to introduce her to my new readers and those who are not familiar with her writing.

Thank you Julie for making the time to participate and share your story!

Through the Peacock's Eyes

2020 has definitely brought challenges, some small but many great, to all of us, and these challenges test us, push us, and sometimes almost…almost…break us. But it is these great challenges of life that also bring us the biggest opportunities to grow within, to change internally.

This 2020 Reflections post is part of the Litebeing’s Change Challenge with the theme: How have you changed internally? Can you share some new thoughts, ideas, projects, attitudes that have sprung up as a result of your evolution (of the past year of 2020)?

Today’s post begins a new blog journey for me. After many restrictions over the past few years (I’d had Saturn sitting on my Ascendant and slowly shuffling through my first house in Western Astrology for four, yes four, years), I now, just in the past week or so, finally have the time, space, energy, and circumstances to return to…
