Peace Arises, Naturally

It has been about 2 months since I took pictures while walking outside. I was a bit surprised to learn it has been this long. But as I have stated often, my neighborhood has been less inviting as strangers have hijacked it to get to the park. I am a HSP ( highly sensitive person) with a crabby, cranky, moody Mars in Cancer who rather avoid conflict than swim in murky waters. But the weather has been cooler and I know I need to move this body more so I took a walk yesterday, bringing my phone with me. I want you to know I have not been totally locked in for 6 months. While I was most cautious in the beginning, I go for a drive about 2-3 times a week and also leave my home to do laundry and take out the trash. I prefer fall weather and am setting a goal to move around more.

I have been making small changes recently that I know are good for my well being. I have begun letting go of small battles I have been waging , all about money. I have concluded that the amount of money or even the principle behind the issue are not as important as my peace of mind. I keep reminding myself I do not have to think about these issues again. I have invested way too much energy in matters that do not truly matter. I suspect there are more of these remaining if I choose to delve deeper. Lorie Ladd and others have said that Gaia is already firmly in 5D frequency. Lorie suggested by going outside one can feel into the peace. So I went out yesterday ( and briefly today) to do a little energetic detective work. Here are some more shots from yesterday’s walk. Please note that my focus is primarily color and use of light.

I cannot honestly say what 5D feels like, but I sensed an expansion and peace that was very comforting and loving. I have had numerous transcendent experiences such as OOB, lucid dreams, etc, but cannot distinguish between the differing frequencies. All I know is that being out in nature or simply gazing at nature is lighter than not doing so.

Please consider joining me and others in my current blogging challenge so we can all be together in this ever -shifting wave of new discoveries and re-membrance of our divinity.

What’s happening in your reality?

Purple Power

As I stated in my tag on yesterday’s post, red and blue = purple. Purple is the blend of two primary colors and vibrates at a very high level. It is also my favorite color and has been for a very long time. Today I celebrate purple with a sampling of images courtesy of Pexels, a WordPress perk for bloggers.

Let’s  enjoy the moment and raise our frequencies together.

Here and There

I wonder if I am alone in feeling like time is slipping away and I have yet to unpack March. I do not really think I am the only one out there with this issue, but I am still highly sentimental and tend to take my time letting go.

Back in the winter, I decided to leave a scarf in my car in case I would feel cold while driving. We have reached close to 90 degrees recently and that scarf is still waiting in the passenger seat. The question is, is it waiting for me to bring it inside or waiting for winter to return? Let’s face it, in the blink of an eye, the summer will be over.  To quote Game of Thrones ” Winter is Coming! “ In many regards, winter never left. My work laptop idly sits on the dining room table, unused since April. I have no clue when my office will reopen and I will return to clean out my office space and hand in the keys and laptop. Perhaps once this happens I will be totally separated from my former employer. I wish I could have worn that scarf at least once. I also wish I could have my personal items back and be rid of the laptop, a reminder of another company with financial problems, using layoffs as a way to survive.

And yet, my intuition tells me that everything ought to remain as is, for now. I cannot say why ; I just feel it. I continue to learn how to be more okay with “what is”, especially when it causes discomfort or sadness. There is peace to be discovered in the alignment with NOW. I am not being all New Agey, I really do believe this. While little me is usually pissed off or impatient, higher self is totally down with taking life as it comes on its own terms.

Spring green has been replaced with summer green and that will have to be enough. I am excited to show you photos taken over the past few days ( including today). I had thought I had already shot some roses, but none made the cut. Hydrangea bloom about once every 2 years and 2020 is the year, woohoo!

As you take in the imagery, make some time to focus on the opalescence of the hydrangea,  the play of light and color contrast. If not now, when right?

Let There Be Songs To Fill The Air

“Ripple by Robert Hunter”

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come through the music?
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

It’s a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they’re better left unsung.
I don’t know, don’t really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

You, who choose to lead, must follow
But if you fall you fall alone.
If you should stand then who’s to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.

La dee da da da,
La da da da da,
Da da da, da da, da da da da da
La da da da,
La da da, da da,
La da da da,
La da, da da.

I needed to get something out before we officially head into October because my heart wants to write. So many ideas, so little time or energy, has been my mantra of late. I know I am not alone in this, wishing I could devote more of my life to my creative pursuits. But I digress..

I am going to share with you an article written about the late great Robert Hunter, who passed away on Monday. He was a primary songwriter for the Grateful Dead. I am a champion of the writers and his words have accompanied me through so much darkness and pain, all the while instilling wisdom, delight, and hope. He was as much a part of The Dead as Jerry or Bobby, less known but a dominant force all the same.

This beautifully crafted piece by NPR talks about Hunter’s deep fondness for Jerry, his penchant for Americana style music, and the themes of mysticism, freedom, and mortality in ways that I simply cannot do. You see, the Dead are too close to me for me to analyze, they are inside me and have been since I was seventeen. So check out the link and learn about a legend:

Have you noticed the transient aquatic header images I featured recently?  I spent 4 fabulous, funfilled days in Baltimore over Labor Day weekend. I am saving the details for a future post, but please enjoy some pics I took in the Inner Harbor and the National Aquarium now.

Let me say now, however, that my time in Charm City was a “long, strange trip.” Speaking of enigmatic phraseology, let me close this piece with a video of a Hunter song that features a line that litebeing chronicles is based on.

Listen and enjoy this trippy song that sheds light on “lite. ”

Catching Up

Greetings litebeings! It has been a good stretch since I posted anything, especially anything new. I have been working on balancing my life, and practicing self-care to increase my inner resilience. I am also working on  a guest post that is rather intense. I hope everyone out there is enjoying the change of season. It is an exceptionally rainy May in my neck of the woods.

Speaking of woods, here are a few photos from my latest trip to Longwood Gardens:

I have been re-vitalizing my meditation practice with a different type of breathing and adding chanting back to the mix. I recently learned that an extended exhale and the act of chanting help relax the vagus nerve, which plays a role in heart rate and digestion. I am also enjoying select lectures from the Hay House Summit, which is happening right now. I enjoyed an interview with Esther Hicks and a video featuring Caroline Myss. Check it out and discover an array of material on all things metaphysical.

Finally, I want to extend a Happy Mother’s Day to all who love and nurture others. Ceres the grain goddess is also a very maternal figure and while I do not have children, my prominent Ceres makes me an Earth Mother of sorts, particularly to those of the feline persuasion. Let’s honor those who extend affection, protection, and care to those in need to foster their development and well -being.

Even when I am away, my thoughts and energy are always with my readers, followers, fellow writers and all that connect with me at litebeing chronicles.

Namaste, litebeing

Finally!

Finally

Spring has come to my corner of Gaia,

After such a looooong sabbatical,

Blessing me with the manifestation of nature’s promise,

Glorious rapture of energy birthed into form

The wait was excruciating since last Spring,

When my cellphone photos were frozen in time,

Unwilling to allow me to share the blooms with you,

Until now a year later courtesy of Samsung and ATT

Just like magic, my health is re-bounding well,

After 2 months of physical hell

Rashes, viruses, and colon woes no more,

Freedom from bondage in this moment is pure

Do you see Beauty wherever you move?

Are your eyes opened or stuck in a sad groove?

Breathe gently with me and hear your heartbeat

Accept the sour and savor the sweet

My words don’t always rhyme

And life happens in its own time

Regardless of ego’s plans

Or outbursts and rants

You do what you can

And accept what you can’t

( until perhaps at some future timeline, you CAN)

I did not label this post as poetry, but I eked out some phrases in semi-rhythmic beats to convey my pleasure with seemingly forward movement. Winter 2019 was a spell of  “eternal stagnation, endless lifelessness and boundless misery “.

I spent just a few minutes outside today walking around my ‘hood snapping everything Springy in the midst of ferocious traffic and frenetic activity that seems odd for a Sunday afternoon. The weather was phenomenal and it felt great to bask in the beauty of this ephemeral season.

Grace is in the house!

Two Cool announcements:

1 Please consider guest blogging for the Seeker’s Dungeon site headed by Sreejit. The topic is From Darkness to Light, one of my fav themes, and the vibe is wonderful over at Sreejit’s place. Spring Awakening Part II ~ Embrace Nature’s Splendor

Happy Mercury Retro in Pisces, Pisces New Moon and Uranus entering Taurus (the sequel). This reblog is about spring and here we are on the cusp of spring almost 1 year later!
Reblogs are de riguer during retro cycles so here is one to tide you over until I produce some new posts! This is a huge week so take some deep breaths and enjoy the ride!

litebeing chronicles

Not everyone is made aware of the beginning of a new cycle or season. Although Uranus is my ruling planet, I do not always notice a personal shift when it enters a new sign. This time I did observe a small but important event that announced this major transit. When Uranus first entered Aries, I bought a new cellphone and it had a camera. I used it to take pictures for this blog ( see photo above). A few weeks ago this old phone started buzzing when I turned it on. Sometimes it did not turn on at all. So after seven years I replaced my trusty blue not-so smart phone ( see photo below).

With many reservations, I opted for a smart phone. While I do not want to be a slave to conformity, I relished the notion of a higher quality camera.  I still keep the phone off…

Hey 2019, Let’s Dive Right In!

I bought this lavender day planner not long ago. I typically get a smaller black one but opted for this larger model in one of my favorite colors. Ironically, I have a planner and very few plans. But it symbolizes a blank slate, brimming with possibilities. Rather than contemplate or over-analyze, I prefer to dive right in.

While most of my readers know that I am not much of a structured holiday person, I often find value in some of the practices or activities, knowing they stem from a good place. If we want to pick an arbitrary point for the new year, tomorrow’s partial solar eclipse in Capricorn is an excellent choice.  A solar eclipse occurs on a new moon and eclipses are like lunations on steroids, so tomorrow 1-4-19 at 8:28 EST could behold a fresh start for many.

I would like to share some videos on my first post of the year that made quite an impression on me. They share some similarities. but have distinct points of view. But I will begin with some recent photos taken a few days ago at Longwood Gardens. It is noteworthy that I have yet to dedicate an entire essay to my time there because it has often served as one of my power places. Even on more mundane visits, it is always breathtakingly beautiful and every moment is unique in its own right.

The first two videos are by thought leaders that need no introduction, Matt Kahn and Lee Harris. Matt is more badass and Lee is a bit more polite, but they both offer excellent, often prophetic content on the current metaphysical climate. This new Matt Kahn video is called We belong to the Light. Matt jokes that it is channeled from Pat Benatar. He does not reference which song, but I would say it is We Belong. It is one of my old school favorites. I googled the lyrics and the first line of the chorus is We belong to the light. Funny, I sang it as We belong to the night.

What I found especially significant in this teaching is Matt’s suggestion for how to handle “unusual events”. He advises against asking why something happens or looking for an accurate explanation. Instead, he instructs us to ask ourselves ” What do we need?” I really like this idea because it lets us focus on how to take better care of ourselves instead of going off on some intellectual tangent. Matt is very much about self-care these days and finds many inventive strategies for flowing with life, rather than beating up ourselves or anyone/anything outside of ourselves ( as if there really is an outside?)

This next video is a real gem because it is a Live 1 hour segment. Unlike the monthly energy forecasts, this presentation goes into more detail and even features a Q&A section at the end! What I found most interesting here is Lee’s take on 2019 as the end of one 7 year cycle and the beginning of a new 7 year cycle. While 2019 is a 3 year in numerology, there are individual numerological cycles ( not to mention astrological cycles) all at play simultaneously. Lee delves into the 2012 phenomenon and how it led us to this point in time. I highly recommend you save this one and listen in small increments, as I often do with Matt’s videos. I often fall asleep if I watch for too much at one sitting!

This final selection is seemingly divergent from the two previous ones, but I would say only on the surface. Bandersnatch is the first movie version of Netflix’s highly popular, controversial Black Mirror series. One could say I am a reluctant fan of this very dark, mysterious Sci Fi series available on the Netflix streaming service. This piece is not only their first full feature film, but it is also interactive. You, the viewer get to make choices on how the story progresses. Without giving too much away, this interactive process lends itself to a story within a story framework that explores, fate vs destiny, parallel realities, and time travel. Why do I include it with the previous videos that do seem more light and optimistic? What all three have in common is that they are highly engaging and invite the viewer to get off the escalator and empower yourself.

I am more inclined to say that free will is not all that free at this juncture. And yet, I do think that making choices can lead to brighter outcomes. How we choose and why we choose is up to you! Check out all three if possible ( Netflix is not free so I included the trailer only) and let me know your reactions in the comments.

This image above is a smaller version of the header photo. I selected it as the header because it serves as a metaphor for 2019. It is fresh and new, multi-faceted, and interactive. It also brings the light and lets you decide where you end and where you begin. So either with or without plans or resolutions, take a deep breath and dive right in.

I wish you a very blessed 2019!

Just one more thing ~  Keep your eyes glued to this site as I will be posting a big surprise very soon!

Until then, wishing you a healthy and transformative eclipse.

A Glimpse of En-Deerment ~ A Jupiter in Sag Moment

Life has been very harsh lately. Thursday’s initial snow of  the season resulted in a traffic nightmare for many, leaving me stuck in my car for close to five hours. This experience left me shaken and depleted. Sometimes I feel that if I share too much about the depths of my emotions I will scare my readers away. Even during the darkest of moments, I remember to pray, ask for guidance, and love myself. Sometimes I receive a pleasant, unexpected blessing.

I woke up this morning and immediately noticed a large animal near the bird feeder. Initially I thought it was a dog, but it was actually a deer. Despite many attempts, today is the first time I have been able to shoot some deer pics, right in the comfort of my living room! Deer is one of my totems and I wrote extensively about deer medicine here.

On occasion, my spirit merges with my totem and we really connect. Deer typically flee as soon as they detect humans in their path, but this guy/gal waited a bit and met my gaze. We had a moment. This moment gave me hope that something larger, grander than myself is waiting for me…..

Here are a few excerpts on Deer magick:

Deer has entered your life to help you walk the path of love with full consciousness and awareness, to know that love sometimes requires caring and protection, not only in how we love others, but also in how we love ourselves.

A deer’s senses are very acute and they see extremely well in low light, giving them the ability to understand the deeper symbolic meanings of things. They can hear a twig snap a very long way off. People with this power animal are often described as being swift and alert. They are intuitive, often seeming to possess well-developed, even extrasensory perceptions. Sometimes their thoughts seem to race ahead, and they appear not to be listening, to be somewhere else. Anyone with power animal has latent clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities.

When a Deer totem enters your world, a new innocence and freshness in about to be awakened. New adventures are just around the corner and there will be an opportunity to express the gentle love that will open new doors for you.

The last paragraph speaks of innocence, freshness, new adventures, and the opening of doors. This is the essence of Jupiter in its home sign of Sagittarius. While I typically prefer all things Scorpio, this last round of Jup in Scorp was stymied by Pluto’s current transit in Capricorn. Jupiter can be more playful and light in whimsical, kindhearted Sag.

May your Mercury Retrograde be kind and your journey be abundant with the promise of love, adventure, and gentility.

Another Synch Hits the Spot

This morning I received a cool synch about divine mission/purpose and it truly surprised me. Not the part about receiving synchronicities, but that it was on this topic. After I wrote my piece for my blogging challenge and hit publish, my mind and heart attended to other matters. So while “lightly” viewing CBS Sunday Morning, my heart melted a bit while learning about Jackie Speier’s time at Jonestown 40 years ago. Please watch this riveting account of tragedy and renewal here.

I am using this space to also share some pictures of fall foliage in my neighborhood. While more than fashionably late to the party, the seasonal colors are gloriously dazzling.

While you’re in the mood, take a peek at Dayna’s awesome entry here.
