3 Years in the Making

Fireworks_red_(1)

Happy 1-11 everyone!

Happy 3rd birthday aka blogiversary to litebeing chronicles!

It is triple exciting that my 3rd blogging year is on 1-11. It is 3 on steroids.

Number 3 is the essence of the Trinity  –  mind, body, spirit and is the threefold nature of Divinity.  The number 3 symbolizes the principle of ‘growth’ and signifies that there is a synthesis present – that imagination and an outpouring of energy is in action. To learn more about the magic of 3, please visit this blast from the past.

I wish I had completed this draft yesterday because today’s news of David Bowie’s passing shocked and saddened me. He is one of my favorite musicians/performers and I recently learned he is also an Aquarius rising!  I have been looking to see how this startling news connects with this third year of my blogging journey. This is what I have discovered:

Creativity is a life force and all material beings were created into this form. David Bowie apparently knew his condition was terminal and kept using his creative spark to bring more music onto the planet. As I lived my life this year one thought made a regular appearance ” I can use this for my blog.” I sometimes see myself existing here simply to blog. There is a very compelling quality inherent in my desire to write. While 3 years seems like a short amount of time, I don’t really remember my life prior to taking this step. While I hold many of my memories intact, my life has changed so incredibly. I doubt I even fully understand the impact of this change. Or ever will understand. I am becoming more and more comfortable sitting with mystery. While my curiosity is as fertile as ever, my willingness to receive information at the Divine Time has increased.

We breathe, grow, see, hear, touch, taste, love, fear, learn, forget, remember, awaken, breathe…..

Until we cease to breathe.

I want to continue my stay on Earth with love in my heart and creation emanating from each heartbeat. I can choose to say 2015 was a year of illness and loss or I can choose to say that all is well NOW. Both are true.

Around ten years ago another wise Capricorn advised me during a rough patch to ask myself how I was feeling in that very moment. What a revelation it was to discover that I was worry-free ( peaceful) in the now. I was surprised at the time to see how effective mindfulness can be. It is as effective now as it was over ten years ago. I am grateful that this very moment is all that is. My moods seem to shift much more quickly nowadays and without much effort. This awareness brings me comfort and leaves me enthusiastic about what else awaits me. Perhaps my vibration is rising?

These are the posts from the WordPress Year in Review report that got the most views in 2015.

  1. Scorpio ~ ahhhhh
  2. A Whole New World?
  3. Time Machine Blogging Challenge: It is Off the Chain. Whadya Waiting for? Join Us!
  4. Mosaic and Pointillism Art as Unity Consciousness
  5. Before Midnight – I’ll love you long after you’re gone, gone, gone

It is interesting that they are all very different in focus – freeform astro- poetry, music, trippy time travel, art, and film. The Scorpio and Before Midnight blogs are from 2013, which means they have staying power. This makes me smile…

This report also indicates that readers respond to a variety of content. I expect to still blog about art, music, film, books, pop culture, and astrology, and much more; typically as they apply to everyday magic. Some may wonder why I do not have a conventional astrology blog. The reasons are many, but here is the short answer: I prefer to share astro-musings as it suits me. I am not content to report on every astro-happening. It is not my style. There are so many writers who do a fantastic job in this vein. I rather wait for inspiration to strike and then an idea is made manifest.

I am a story-teller. At least today I am. Tomorrow I may shift into another mode. I once fancied myself a novelist, poet, screenwriter. I love to tell stories and evoke questions and discussion. This is my thing. I am so grateful that people respond to my writing. It is also incredible how I never know what becomes ” popular” among my posts. Rather than create to please others, I pray that what interests me will find its way to those who may benefit. I write because I must. It is a way of being. I never take it for granted for it is a gift.

A heartfelt thanks to Matt Wullenweg for creating WordPress. Happy 32nd Birthday Matt! Thank you for allowing me to say Hello World exactly 3 years ago today. I also want to acknowledge my fellow bloggers and readers who influence me tremendously. A striking photograph, a passing comment, or a clever turn of a phrase may send me off into an alternate universe where ideas are born. Thank you for being you and sharing this lifetime with me.

What does the future hold? I honestly don’t know. I am drawn to more discussions on ascension, everyday magic, the awakening process, unity consciousness, the love revolution of Matt Kahn, the lure of our dreams, and how inconvenience and risk-taking change my nature. I am blessed with a treasure trove of ideas that keep glowing during my darkest hours. Thank you for glowing with me.

namaste, litebeing

As a tribute to David Bowie and all artists everywhere, I will end with this anthem of my youth that still raises my heart rate whenever I hear it :

Spirit clearly approves ( look at the length of the video). What have I been saying for 3 years? Magic is everpresent.

Happy Blogiversary ~ Pieces of a Dream

What can I say?  litebeing chronicles is now 2 years old! This blog is now in the throes of toddler hood and enjoys establishing its power by saying no and occasionally running a muck. It is ever-changing and developing. I understand this platform better than when I started, and have a more nuanced appreciation for the impact of online communication. No terrible twos for me. Well, maybe an occasional rant…

While I am not changing the direction of litebeing chronicles, I am making a few changes.

New look, New tagline

I already altered the look a bit to reflect my current muse: the universe. My world view has slightly been impacted by the enormity of the unseen. More and more I enter the void. This happens on multiple levels and I hope to describe my experiences throughout the course of this year. Considering the power of mother Earth has been mind-blowing and I continue to sort this out. The documentary Grounding made a huge impression on my understanding of our home. This introduction of the unrealized power potential has really opened many doors for me. One portal that I have accessed is a more organic conceptualization of astrology. It is one that is less theoretical and intellectual for me and this is BIG. While the idea As Above So Below continues to resonate, I have a larger sense of why we are so intertwined with the cosmos. While I find that using words makes this challenging to explain, I will try:

We are no different from the planets.

I invite you to reflect on this and come to your own conclusions. It certainly is worthy of lengthy contemplation. We can do this together. Do we have a deal? Both of these ideas will continue with me into my 3rd year of blogging, no doubt. Which brings me to the next change, the tagline.

I am retiring The adventures of a part-time mystic atleast temporarily. It is time to try something different. One reason is that I am not really a part-time mystic. I just thought that I was. We are all mystics and we have access to other realities all the time. This is because there is no time and because we all are part of one Source. The expression and experiences will vary, but the moniker part-time mystic seems limiting.

The new tagline is Pieces of a Dream. Every single post is a representation of my journey. The journey is always informed by my dreams.  Lately my dreams seem to be more real than my waking life most of the time.  This includes while asleep, in  meditation, daydreaming, or while engaged in imaginative play. Essentially each post is a snapshot of my dreamscape, a piece of the dream. Honestly, the phrase recently popped in my head ( as often happens) and I liked it. Don’t most of us aspire to be living the dream ?

I will continue to blog on what inspires me without a master plan.  I am intrigued by doing more interviewing in the future and hope to have more opportunities. Let me know if you would like to be interviewed or have some prospects. I am also bringing forward radical gratitude practice, pronoia ( the world is conspiring in your favor), and sheer curiosity and awe.

I also am intrigued by intentionality and have found a  prompt that I want to share with you. When I first saw this commercial, I was hooked. I was instantly transformed to a blissful innocence. Could it be the promise of coffee? Or perhaps the catchy tune? Watch and tell me if it alters your frequency.

Allow me to introduce you to my 3 power animals in training: Owl, Tiger, and Deer. I am drawn to all 3 ( 111)  and I plan to see which of these are my guides for 2015 ( or longer). Owl symbolizes an oracle of secret knowledge, Tiger symbolizes illumination and wealth, and Deer symbolizes the Easterly directions and faerie realms. If you have read my last few posts, you will see why these particular symbols are meaningful for me.

All 3 have appeared to me strongly in a variety of ways. Some I have seen in my backyard, in dreams, or in some other guise such as in the media. I am excited to discover if they are my guides and will let you know as soon as I do.

I hope to continue to inspire and be the kind of writer that I like to read, one who is informative, clever, imaginative, and authentic. I welcome your feedback, suggestions, and comments.

When I chose 1-11-13 as my start date, I did not realize that I would continue to see these repetitive numbers for 2 more years. I also did not foresee that this would be an international phenomenon. At this juncture I get that both my desire to blog and the numerical sequences were indeed linked. Like many of us, I have been called to communicate this way and connect with others of the light. Welcome to all the new followers and readers. Thank you all for being so much more than readers. You have become my community of light.

You are litebeings.

Thank you Matt Mullenweg for being born on 1-11 and creating WordPress. I wish you a blessed birthday and hope you have a sense of the role you have played in facilitating this network.

Cosmic update: According to my stats, this is my 222 published post. ( I have published more, but some have reverted to private status).

Happy Blogiversary litebeing chronicles!

summer 2013 litebeing chronicles

What’s the 411?   No, this is not the Mary J Blige song.

What’s the 111?  That’s better!

litebeing chronicles is 1 year old!

One year of blogging, really hard for me to comprehend! I am so thrilled about how this project turned out. I wrote all about this past year in my year review here, so I will not regurgitate the details here. What I want to do now is take a look at how I executed my initial theme and my plans for the future.

In my revised introduction page blog story I said :

This blog is about living life differently. I will draw from various disciplines, teachers, and experiences such as Buddhism, Quakerism, Jung, Astrology, A Course in Miracles, and Eckhart Tolle to illustrate my travails. I hope that you will notice the unifying thread contained within each and every post ~ to inspire through the examination of the extraordinary in daily living, one story at a time.

I think I was true to this vision most of the time. I blogged extensively about the magic I encountered while running errands, taking a walk, or listening to the car radio. I hope you have gotten something of value from my experiences. I wish there were blogs like mine to read when I was a teenager who was seeing the world through an unusual lens. Part of my motivation was to let people know that they are not alone.

get-attachment (12)

I had originally included John Weir Perry and excluded astrology in my introduction. Funny about  those best laid plans. I figured I would get into consensus – based reality because I was writing about the ethereal and the mystical. I also planned to expound on my ideas about mysticism and mental illness, citing the work of John Weir Perry and David Lukoff. I wanted people to get that there really is no difference between madness and awareness, just how it is framed and how one’s experiences are contained by those in their environment. If readers are interested in this topic, please comment so I will write about it this coming year.

What happened was that this blog became less intellectual and more heart based. Those who know me well may be surprised by this. Hell, I was surprised by this!  As time went on my writing became more personal and intimate. I think it has to do with what blogging came to mean to me.  The creative process changed me and as a result, I opened  up more. That’s a good thing!

I also expected to write less about astrology. It was not on my radar for this blog. Yet rather early on in this journey I realized that I cannot separate astrology out of my stories. It  is such a huge part of my worldview. Little did I realize that writing regularly would unleash my desire to devote more time and energy to more of the things I love.  Doing what drives your passion unlocks parts of your soul so they can breathe freely and dance with abandon. The dance can lead you to the most unexpected places!

In, Welcome to my blog!, ( my first post written exactly one year ago today), I said I would write about once a week. Well, I clearly wrote more often than that.  Again, this came as a surprise. I did not think I had that many stories in me. Truth is, I can hardly keep up with all the stories in my head! They really do take on a life of their own. I also said:

My goal is to share my stories so others will be able to take a closer look into their own ordinary encounters in a more conscious way. I plan to do so with humor, candor, and authenticity.  Above all, I aim to inspire.

How did I do? Please comment and let me know!

orange flowersjuly2013

As for the future, I plan to let ideas flow organically. This has served me well thus far. There will be more stories about magic, synchronicity, and symbols. Astrology will also play a prominent role. I also hope to participate in more of the blogging prompts and challenges that I have come to love. As for what else, I do not know. And I am happy to report that I am okay with that. But I am also open to suggestions. Hearing from you has truly made a difference. Even my muse can benefit from a few well placed comments! I do write to satisfy my need for self-expression but my followers are the icing on the cake. As of today, we are just a few shy of 300 followers in 1 year’s time, WOW! If you had told me  a year ago that I would have all of these amazing readers , I would have said  ”  Are you kidding me ? ” It just would not have resonated. Thank you for spending time here with me as I made my way through an unpredictable yet fruitful year. I hope the future brings more comments. I have some loyal commenters and even created an award contest for you! But there are so many who faithfully read and remain silently behind the scenes. I hope to hear from more of you.

GIVEAWAYS! Yes you read that right! In appreciation for all of your support I am offering the following:

RANDOM READINGS: I will provide random readings for 111 = 3 people. Astrology, Sacred Path Cards, Blind/intuitive reading??? Type RANDOM in the comments section below if you are interested and I will pick 3 people. You qualify if you read these words.

DISCOUNT SESSIONS: I am offering 1/2 price natal astrology readings for 2 weeks only. This is a bargain you don’t want to miss! If you want one, click here : Contact and fill out your info on the contact form.

One more thought before I end this post. A couple years ago I attended a storytelling workshop with the intention of letting go of the past by verbally sharing a difficult time in my life. I recall saying to the  class that taking this step will free me in ways unimaginable and that a ripple effect will be set in motion. This ripple effect was really important to me for some reason. I could not predict an outcome, but I knew that I was doing the hard work for a reason. Looking back now, I can clearly see that taking that risk helped bring me to this point. It always has been and it always will be all about the story…..

Namaste to All my radiant litebeings everywhere!

PS, Happy 30th birthday to founder of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg

One last request ~ Please join me in a rousing chorus. Flintstones Happy Anniversary
