The End of the World As We Know It

Just ‘randomly” deciding to read this evocative post is a synchronous reminder that I will soon be publishing my review of the intriguing film ” Time is Art”.

Dontcha love when that happens?  Enjoy the article and stay tuned!

Winging with Whitehawk

http://www.13lunas.net/eventos/estrella/valum_votan.pngI’ve mentioned here before that back in the 80’s I relocated to Boulder, Co, and joined the core team that created the global Harmonic Convergence event, as dreamed into manifestation by visionary artist and Mayan “son,” Jose Arguelles.

That was my earliest exposure to Arguelles, and to this day I hold him in a warm heart-space of respect, while also admitting I’ve not yet fully wrapped my mind around his whole cosmology. Still – I luvs me a good visionary 😉

The phrase time is art comes from him. His ideas are evocative and their time for ripening is, I believe, upon us. I’m feeling the higher frequencies and my life is taking a creative upswing. (Body still trying to adjust and doing some complaining about “coming along on the ride,” but the spirit keeps encouraging the biology.)

You with me? Time to shine – like the moon and the…

A Simple Tale

Brief update: Happy to report my laptop is back home after a harrowing four days at Best Buy’s Geek Squad. All sorts of confusion and ridiculousness ensued and I am hoping at least some of it can be attributed to the Uranus station yesterday. I like Windows 10 and it is simpler in design than Window’s 8. I cannot get Cortana to talk to me, but maybe she isn’t one of my guides 🙂

cropped-photo1192.jpg

Two days ago I had a quick tale to tell. Now I have a simple tale about miracles and perspective. I am sharing this not only to inspire you , but to remind myself that all is well, somehow…

Windows_10_Logo.svg

I had the notion that the deadline to install Windows 10 for free on my laptop was fast approaching. I am not certain  I want the upgrade because of the privacy issues associated with the new operating system. Still, I wanted to learn more about it. My laptop may be incompatible with Windows 10 because of its age. So I did some research and was left more baffled than before. I decided to call the Geek Squad that is affiliated with the store where I purchased my PC. I was connected to a man with a strong southern drawl. His name was …… DEXTER.

Dexter was not able to answer my questions to my satisfaction and the remote viewing process disabled my security software. This freaked me out so I was leery of continuing further. However, I asked him if his name was Dexter and he answered in the affirmative. I wanted to be certain I had heard him correctly.

In my 55 years of living on Earth, I believe this is the first time I spoke to a human named Dexter. The fact that this happened 4 days after the anniversary of his passing was not lost on me. I sense that this urgent need to learn about the windows upgrade was communicated to me. I cannot be certain of this, but I was considering checking out cats tomorrow at the animal shelter. I do not know if this is a sign I should proceed, or more likely confirmation of my intense focus on my Dexter.

After this encounter, I watched the film Miracles From Heaven. It is about a young girl who undergoes a transformation that tests the faith of her family. I like Jennifer Garner and am attracted to these types of stories. I was quickly drawn into the story because the protagonist has a mysterious digestive disorder requiring numerous tests and hospital visits. If I had known this beforehand, I may have not watched the film. Her stomach becomes quite bloated and she is in constant excruciating pain. She endures an endoscopy and meets with several GI specialists. This was hitting too close to home.

Then the song Collide begins to play and my heart bursts wide open. That song is my jam. This song links me to my mystical encounter that happened eleven years ago on July 21st 2005. Today is July 16th, hmmmm.

The song was used to illustrate a strong connection between this ordinary, traditional church-going  family and the power of Source. I was quite tickled by this because Collide was written as a romantic love song. I intuited it to be about a higher love and it appears that the producers did so as well.

I will not give the story away because this film is relatively new. What I will say is that interwoven into the main storyline are several subtle miracles in action. I noticed a few of them immediately, but later on they are highlighted to convey the significance of faith.

I came away from today feeling mixed emotions. I am experiencing the extreme sadness and anguish that often accompanies pain, suffering, and powerlessness. At the same time, I am also warmed by the electric vitality of bold synchronicities that cannot be explained away.

I still am undecided about getting Windows 10 and adopting a new cat. But I feel less disconnected and more enchanted. Jennifer Garner’s character quotes Einstein at a pivotal point in the plot:

There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.

Which way do you choose?

Words and Pictures

the-little-falls-sketch-1918.jpg!Large

Words and Pictures is a film I have longed to see for a good while. The draw for me is my passion for both writing and the visual arts. It had alluded me at the theater and disappeared from cable and Netflix without warning. It reappeared this week on On Demand fortunately.

Mini-review: This film is about two lonely, wounded artists who find one another and challenge each other to become better versions of themselves. The acting is magnificent. Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen are beautifully matched here. I am a fan of both in such films as Chocolat, Bee Season, Croupier, and Closer. But I would be inclined to say they gave better performances in this piece. I appreciated mostly the nuances in what wasn’t said, the intricacies expressed by their facial expressions were on full display.

The main premise asks the question: Which medium is more moving , pictures or words? While the answer still remains a mystery, the film uses both words and visuals to provide drama, inspiration, and some comic relief. Both main characters struggle with loss, failure, and emotional vulnerability. It seems like they have become reduced to lifeless, half-dead, shells. But life has other plans….

The purpose of this post is to pair images with words and have you, the reader, decide your preference. I am pairing the paintings of J. E. H. MacDonald and the words of  poets from Love Poems from God and quotes by The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo for your enjoyment and comparison.

First pairing:

5.1.5

I WOULD CEASE TO BE by St. Teresa of Avila

God

dissolved

my mind – my separation.

I cannot describe now my intimacy with Him.

How dependent is your body’s life on water and food and air?

I said to God ” I will always be unless you cease to Be.”

And my Beloved replied, ” And I

would cease to Be

if you

died.”

Second pairing:

the-tangled-garden-1916

LIKE ROOTS by St. Thomas of Assisi

Our hands imbibe like roots

so I place them on what is beautiful in this world.

And I fold them in prayer, and they

draw from the heavens

light.

Third pairing:

The stream of life that runs through the world,

runs through my veins.  ~  Rabindranath Tagore

Fourth pairing:

And then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to bloom.  ~ Anais Nin

Final reflections ~

This is not a contest, just merely an exercise to focus on the wonder of the written word and the dance of color and light. I will admit that blogging has afforded me the luxury of marrying my words with art, a luxury I am unlikely to relinquish without a fight.

The beauty of Words and Pictures is the restoration of the main characters. This is a partial restoration or reset point. While neither one goes back in time, before the damage and wounds set in, they emerge lively and prolific once more. Compromises were made and risks were taken. Through this process, rebirth prevailed.

Happy Spring from litebeing,

May you embrace your inner Easter.

Chutes and Ladders

Life can be a study in contrasts. Take fall, for example. Bright vibrant colors with cooling temperatures and increasing darkness. Do you prefer the bright or the dull?

Photo986

I’ll take bright, thank you very much. The foods of this season also compliment the natural hues. Think cranberry and pumpkin and acorn squash ; burgundy, rust, and gold.

The world of duality is ever present when one seeks perfection. I am a perfection fan, with North Node and Pluto in Virgo. With so much Virgo energy this season, the perfection vibe is palpable ( especially with Jupiter in Virgo square Neptune in Pisces.)

I grew up playing board games. I really enjoyed Candyland, Go to the Head of the Class and Chutes and Ladders. While Candyland was all about fantasy, the others were about upward mobility and pursuit of excellence. In grade school, we had the SRA independent reading program in one of my classes. We would read at our own pace and advance from one color coded level to the next. I do not recall anything about what I read, but I can tell you about the 2 girls who were the best readers. They were one level above me and I aspired to catch up to them.

My life lately reminds me more of Chutes and Ladders though. I experience great insights and movements of energy. Then later on, more losses occur and I find myself also losing my patience and peace of mind, not to mention my temper! This game reminds me of Saturn as it really is about fate. Your journey depends not on mastery, but on chance. Where you land is where you land, period. After that, how do you react to where you have landed?

Photo984

While viewing Burnt, the latest Bradley Cooper flick, this point was driven home. While comparing Cooper’s and  Jude Law’s film connections with Sienna Miller ( all 3 actors are Caps , and the male leads Cooper and Law are Caps with Neptune conjunct Sag Rising and about the same age and height.), I also considered how the lead character’s obsession with perfection was his Achille’s heel. Without giving away the ending, I will say that teamwork and consistency triumphed over control and isolated ambition.

Photo990

If I can stop competing and appreciate the value of collaboration, the ups and downs will feel less personal and more communal. There is no class to peer over or mountain to scale. If only I can finally see with clarity that ” Winning” is only for the Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen caricatures of pop culture.

The film was meh, but the new recliner seats were sweet. I do like Neptune rising guys and wonder if Bradley Cooper will be the new Jude Law. For me, Jude Law was the new Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt was the new Richard Gere. Richard Gere was the new Warren Beatty. There will always been someone newer, younger, shinier, and smarter. But there will never be another you. or me.

Ever.

Oh, one more thing… If you live in the US, turn back the clocks one hour at 2AM Sunday for Standard Time ( and more dullness/darkness) .

And if you like candy and/or costumes, Happy Halloween!

A Whole New World?

Many have prophesied that one-third of our planet would be aligned with fifth dimensional consciousness by September 28, 2015. This is called the 1st wave of ascension.  I do not know if I feel any different. My experience of time and space has been altered for quite some time. According to Matt Kahn and others, this is not an intellectual exercise. It is all about the heart.

One way that I perceive insights is by noticing or attracting novel tidbits from pop culture. The internet is typically the medium that transmits these nuggets towards my awareness. Music and movies are two of my go-tos and this gem via Facebook got my attention. The film Aladdin is going to be released in digital format soon. To celebrate this new edition, the original singers from the film reunited on Good Morning America to sing A Whole New World. I am including the video here in the hope of encouraging people to listen. I am in love with this song and it radiates love and otherworldly bliss. I was blown away when I first heard the song and I still feel the same today.

Now that Mercury has gone direct, we can move our attention to other events. I am glad it is mostly behind us, but this cycle was a minor disruption for me. I felt more of the typical slowdowns a few weeks prior to the Mercury station. Maybe that’s just how I roll.  What about you?  How are you doing? Are we moving into 5D? What does that look like? How does it feel? Does it even matter?

It is not too late to join the Time Machine Challenge. The posts are fantastic and I am so awestruck by the brilliance and the emotional honesty displayed. If you are participating, don’t forget to claim your badge! They make nifty souvenirs.

Lately I am not sure where I am headed. Part of me believes that is actually a good thing. But wherever I travel, I am grateful to have my tribe around me.

PS WordPress tells me I have used 1111 tags so far. The signs continue…

As Time Goes By..

Some variable pre – Venus stationing direct musings:

When I reflect on love gone by, I forget most of the details. I appreciate what wasn’t said, what wasn’t seen, what wasn’t heard. I miss the muted palette of true communion.

As much as I love to write, think, speak, read, words are not necessary.

It is all about nuance.

If I were to embark on a new romance, it would be with someone who already knows me. You may wonder ” What does she mean by that?” So I will tell you. I do not mean a doover ( my word for do-over) with a former flame. NO way, Jose. I mean with someone new who’s not really new.

Let me bring in the heavy artillery here to better explain. It would be less like reality TV and more like Casablanca. I highly recommend you follow my link to YouTube to watch the clip I found. It really sets the mood.

Check out this clip: Casablanca

This is one of my favorite films and I don’t especially favor old flicks. This movie is timeless. seamless, subtle, spacious…

Behind the scenes much work is done to make it this way. However, I want a man like Rick, strong and confident and emotionally available. A real man. I could visit Rick’s cafe and feel right at home. Yes, I have dreamed of Morocco many times.

here-we-make-love.jpg!HalfHD (1)

But it is so much more than the content. These two lovers know one another and it is evident in their facial expressions, body language, energetic flow. Content is fine, but just background to the true narrative. The music, the soulful gazes, the striking black and white, the mystery. Like the Linda Ronstadt song, Just one look is all it took.

love-1895.jpg!Large

The space between the words is sublime. Eckhart Tolle would approve! This production is so much more than words. This is the love of the Divine in action.

You may think this post is a movie review and you would be mistaken. It is an attempt of mine to articulate what love looks like to me today. I am bored with introductions and quizzes about veggie or gluten-free, dogs or cats, pizza or tacos, Beatles or Stones, Sag or Pisces, climate change or economic equality, PC or Mac, Twitter or Facebook, paper or plastic ( I am kidding here, or am I?)

No more back story, move me towards midplot please!

love-scene-1926.jpg!HalfHD (1)

No more blazing technicolor for me. Give me muted tones,  soft silhouettes, simple lines. Sharp angles and harsh imagery, not this time. Been there, done that. If there’s to be any drama, it better be classic all the way.

When I reflect on those I truly loved, the highlights were subtle and steeped in sweet simplicity. We already knew one another. Introductions were just formalities to progress the story towards midplot. The residue of love remains to some degree for any I ever loved. We never unlove anyone entirely. That is fine by me.

Venus is going direct on September 6th and this transit has been outwardly quiet for me. Maybe all that inner work of releasing actually made a difference. Or maybe any unfinished business is finally finished. Or perhaps I have changed so much that none of this matters anymore.

I will eventually come to peace with not knowing.

As time goes by..
