November Reblogathon Day 25

Well we are heading towards the finish line. Just a few more days left until the Reblogathon is wrapped up. Tonight’s reblog is inspired by a film I just finished watching. The Music Never Stopped was released in 2011 and is based on an essay by Oliver Sacks. It tells the story of a young musician who left home in the late 1960s due to a fight with his dad over the Vietnam War. He developed a benign brain tumor that caused major damage to the corpus callosum, leaving him with amnesia. At some point he was discovered on the streets and underwent brain surgery. A music therapist was brought in to help him establish more connections and regain his brain function. His favorite band was the Grateful Dead. This film really moved me and would make a great blog post of its own.

The reblog is my entry for the Time Machine Challenge. It is about the Dead and transformation. It is about being alive. I hope you enjoy it because it is a sentimental favorite.  Click here to read the post.

Enjoy your weekend, l
