5 Year Blogiversary ~ Intentions in Process

Can you believe it,  litebeing chronicles is five years old! This blog has become a boisterous, temperamental 5-year-old, finding its voice and asserting its creative muscle day-to-day, from draft to publish. I am featuring a new drawing and tagline to celebrate another exciting year of blogging and building community.

A few months back, Sue Dreamwalker commented that I create some new artwork to reflect a fresh outlook. You can read the blog that inspired her comment here.  The image above  is my re-imagining of my healing journey. The grand canyon in the Western US is my muse, along with the recent transit of Saturn in Capricorn. Since I have my natal Saturn in Capricorn, it is “right on time.” The grand canyon is a kaleidoscope of earth and sky and light, punctuated by wildlife and human interactions. Saturn in Capricorn symbolizes navigating obstacles and delays with patience, persistence, humility, and grace.

I apparently chose the same color palette as my Colonodyssey piece,  but that is where the similarities end. Without hyper-analysis, I see this drawing as flowing with movement, soft in mood, and focused upward. Perhaps in time more nuanced symbolism will reveal itself. I am pleased to have finished the piece, which I nurtured slowly and spontaneously.

Along with the art, I crafted a new tagline to celebrate my 5th blogging year: separation interrupted, evolution imminentI really like the phrase Girl, Interrupted, taken from the film of the same name. Then I combined it with my reaction to the separation by adding evolution imminent.

I see this phrase as a description of my writing, my spiritual journey, and of the planet at large. The concept of separation is taken from A Course in Miracles, where it is seen as the illusion of disconnect from Source.  Collective separation is on the wane, and ascension is imminent. The tricky part is determining exactly how imminent and what ascension/evolution/at-one-ment will look like. I do not have the answers. The words came to me and I just jotted them down and edited the tagline, that’s all! We shall see how this tagline plays out, for myself, my writing, and the highest good for Gaia.

As many readers know, I deliberated chose 1-11 as my blog birthday because I had been seeing 11s and 1s repeatedly as numerical sequences everywhere and with increasing frequency. As it turns out, 2018 is an 11 year.  2 + 1 +8 equals 11.  11 is a master number , which holds a higher vibrational frequency. It signifies inspiration and all things mystical. It is also a double one, emphasizing innovation, self, independence, and mastery. When not approached with loving intentions, an 11 can be reduced to a 2, which centers around relationships and duality.

Check out these links to learn more about the electric and exuberant eleven:

So what are my intentions for this 5th blogging year? The number 5 deals with adventure, movement, and travel and is associated with the planet Mercury so perhaps my evolution will include some or all of those directions. The 5th dimension is where we are ultimately headed as a planetary species, so that is another clue. While I am not living there in physical form all the time, I have occasional fleeting glimpses of the plane where divine love and effortless manifestation reside.

I have not formally set any intentions yet, except to make good on some promises to publish a few posts from 2017 that eluded me. I also want to share my genealogy findings, interview some folks, and bring some more awareness to addiction and mental illness as they pertain to the spiritual path. Beyond that, I need to take some time to see if there are new avenues for me to explore creatively.

I have drawn some cards for the new year and many of them point to passion for work, fertility, creativity, love, inner reflection, and masculine energy. It is interesting how so many of the cards within this reading and together with last lunation’s reading focus on the same themes. Since my blog documents the curiosity and awe that appear as light in my life, it is likely that these themes will show up here at WordPress. Speaking of WordPress, here’s to an awesome birthday for WP founder Matt Mullenweg. Cheers!

Thanks to all my fellow writers and readers who share the lite with me from post to post and comment to comment. We are all in this together!

Sense-sational Blogging Challenge

Update: Tomorrow November 7th kicks off our challenge with the uber -talented, sweet, and incredibly creative Shree !

Keep checking here ( post will be pinned) for updates on the schedule and all things Sense-sational!

Hello Litebeings, I have concocted a simple yet intriguing blogging challenge for the month of November. In fact, it is simply sense-sational!

Since we all have decided to incarnate on planet Earth, one of the perks we get to enjoy is the use of our senses. The physical body and material plane allow us to experience sight, sound, taste, smell and touch. I am not certain if or how they operate on other dimensions, but let’s just shelve that question for now. It is quite phenomenal that we get to live in form and yet remain spiritually attuned ( more and more all the time!). I am theorizing that by focusing on the gifts of living an awakened existence while housed in form, we can become even more integrated and less scattered. Perhaps we can also have some fun at the same time.

Plus you also get this glorious badge to display on your site, courtesy of Sue!

1- Answer the following questions:

Which senses bring you joy and delight?

How do they help you live a meaningful life?

2- Choose a date in November and let me know in the comments section.

3- Link to this post and mention  ” Sense-sational Challenge ” in your post.  Also link to the blogger whose entrie follows yours at the end of your post.

So that about covers it. If you want to showcase your art, poetry, music, culinary recipes, aromatherapy, bodywork, go for it. There are no limits to your creativity!

I will keep a schedule for everyone and serve as official cheerleader.  I am also hoping those awesome folks ( Rara, Shree, Ka, and company) at NanoPoblano will get inspired and use this challenge for one of their November blogs. public domain

Let me know if you have any questions and don’t forget to give me the date for your blog.  Thanks in advance for participating.

Let the games begin!

Got the 1111?

UPDATE: I gifted a free tarot reading to my 1111th follower Tatjana, who blogs at Congratulations! I look forward to providing you with a reading soon.

Hey litebeings!

It is a gorgeous fall day here in Philly and I have 2 job interviews lined up for next week. I am so grateful to have received positive responses to my resume and am hopeful I will attract the employment setting that is for the highest good. I am also grateful my phone camera is now uploading so I can use my own images for this site. But that is not why I am posting today.

I am posting because I have , drum roll please, 1111 followers! Keep in mind that the number fluctuates according to social media and other factors, but the bottom line is that the number 1111 is radiating on the home page, doing its mystical thing.

I have a special gift in store for a lucky follower, so stay tuned! I realize that my stats will change so I want to capture this moment in time.

Thanks to everyone who reads my offerings, partakes of my services, and leaves comments on my blog. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful litebeings in my orbit.

love, litebeing

Half- Birthday Greetings!

Howdy litebeings and welcome to all my new followers! Today is my half-birthday and that makes me 56 1/2 years old in Earth time. More like 17 inside and 90 outside ( and sometimes the reverse is true). In my case, the sun also squares my Ascendant! It makes life a bit intense at times.  Anyway, I have been somewhat absent from WP and want to say hello and update you a little on the past few weeks.

I am still waiting for my car to be returned to me and I am glad that it will be finished after Mercury and Venus stationed direct. I have Venus ruling my 3rd house and this episode seems to be linked with Venus and Mercury moving backwards through my 2nd house of possessions. Uranus is still transiting my 2nd house also and this may have triggered the accident.

Internally I have been feeling alternately fearful, overwhelmed, and hopeful. Sometimes these emotions appear together. I have been getting interesting guidance lately. Most of the time it appears subtly, but this week the messages were very obvious. I have plenty to ponder.

Future posts:

1 Dreams and synchronicity

2  Book review on the Quaker Spiritual Path

3  Film review on synchronicity

4 Emerging intuitive process

While I strive to be organized and efficient ( Virgo north node), I allow myself to veer off when necessary. I will be back soon to finish responding to all your wonderful comments.

Purple Forever

Here is my tribute to Prince, re published on the 1 year anniversary of his passing. As I write this, I witness another otter ( muskrat, groundhog, ??) sighting. He or she was too fast for me to capture photographically. Still cool to receive some awesome creature magick.

I want to use this opportunity to briefly editorialize on the evolution of my blogging, which is very apropos for a Mercury retro cycle. Initially I thought I would write a few posts about my spiritual journey, as an English student would for a teacher. My grades would be in the form of readers and comments. At least that is how it appears looking back. 2013 was an exciting and mysterious time for me and many others. My writing flourished here, and I grew as a result, both creatively and personally.

As my health began to deteriorate and my finances followed suit, my writing grew both more dark and more intimate. I let you in and shared more of my deepest fears and complicated musings. The polished writer facade became more flawed and exposed.

Please be open to every aspect of my writing and try not to draw any sweeping conclusions. Existence is about context and my blog reflects that context over the dimensions of space and time. Creative types are often both tortured and brilliant simultaneously. Please enjoy my Prince post as you contemplate that paradox.

much love, Linda litebeing

litebeing chronicles

I was preparing to buy groceries when the news came in. Prince is gone at age 57. Think tender and brash, shy and overtly sexual. Think 1999, Purple Rain, Diamonds and Pearls, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Raspberry Beret, Little Red Corvette, Money Don’t Matter Tonight etc.  Just Tuesday afternoon while I was driving to a medical appointment, Purple Rain came on the radio. I have not heard it in quite some time. I became very emotional and was surprised by my reaction. Could I have been sent a message foreshadowing this event? Quite likely.

I learned today that he also had an emergency visit to the hospital on 4-14-16 and was also released on 4-15-16.

But I am here and he is not. pub domain

I do not have the energy to write a complete post. He had a Gemini Sun, Pisces Moon, and Scorpio Rising. His chart aligns…

Happy 4th litebeing chronicles! ~ Fourever Yours

abundance.jpg welcome to my blog

Happy 4th birthday litebeing chronicles! Hundreds of posts, over 750 followers and counting and a glorious community that has been my lifeline, all began with the desire to speak my truth and a courageous intention to let everything fall into place as it may. And here we are!

I already published my new year’s blog, so today’s entry will be brief. I reviewed my very first post and realize that my goals are the same. My initial intention was – and still is, to share the “little things” that are not really little after-all, and let them speak, to give them a voice.

Here’s an example from yesterday :

I am facilitating a new group for younger, more recently diagnosed clients and it is just the three of us. I asked the others to share happy memories and some of their talents and gifts. The participants are hesitant to share as this is a new project and trust has to be developed. It turns out that one person was a comedy writer and the other a poet; one dreamed of being an actor and the other dreamed of being an actress. The three of us are writers in various stages of creative process across our lifespans. One participant spoke of  a mini breakthrough that occurred recently. He described it as ” a glimmer of light”.  I grinned to myself . We have something here.

A glimmer of lite. That’s all that is required to awaken. A flash of insight, a familiar melody, an unexpected encounter, a telling dream… This is why I write and why I continue to share, regardless of obstacles that continue to cross my path. That glimmer is sacred. It welcomes each and every one of us back to consciousness, to helps us find our way back home.

Thank you to readers both old and new. Please say hello and let me know you are here! It is wonderful to notice such an increase in new readers. Yet so few take the time to like or comment. I know our lives are busy, but if my words move you in any way, please let me know.

Here I have copied my very first blog, written on 1-11-13 for all of you to read. For many this will be an initial glimpse of my ” mission statement”. Since this is the fourth year and 4 signifies a foundation, I believe this article provides the grounding that led me to this point.

Thanks again for all the love and support along the way.

Fourever yours, litebeing

Hello world and welcome to my first blog. I have decided that since we survived the Mayan Apocalypse that I would chronicle my Divine encounters for 2013. The purpose of this project is to chronicle my ordinary experiences that are colored with that ” something extra”, the inexplicable sparkle that hints of the Source.

I recently have begun to link my identity with litebeing because it accurately describes my current state of being. I have been on a spiritual quest most of my adult life and thought I had this journey thing nearly figured out. I have had some mind-blowing experiences with groups and individually, have been able to really tap into my intuition, and have been able to use these gifts in serving others as a therapist, social worker, and astrologer. Yet, I have recently become more awakened and as a result of this process discovered that I have only begun to glimpse the true nature of life on this planet. So I downgraded myself from a lightbeing to a litebeing.

Joy of Life by Josephine Wall

I intend to blog weekly about my adventures living as a spiritual being having a human experience. However, the frequency will depend on how much there is to share. My goal is to share my stories so others will be able to take a closer look into their own ordinary encounters in a more conscious way. I plan to do so with humor, candor, and authenticity.  Above all, I aim to inspire.

Come along with me on this journey , share comments, and  let me know how its going for you.

Happy 2013!!!!

Magnificent Winners

I hope everyone has been enjoying my recent photos of Christmas at Longwood Gardens. It is such a magical place, full of enchantment and mystery, particularly during this time of year.

As the days grow colder in the U.S. and virtually all the trees have shed their leaves, I am reminded that Winter is here ( officially on 12-21-16). As we move closer to the end of 2016, I grieve for all the sorrow and pray for redemption and another shot at peace.

I am in a very reflective mood and hope to organize my musings later on this weekend. In the meantime, I have an announcement to make.

  1.  C of
  2.  Michael of

Initially there was to only be one winner, but I decided to award free astrology readings to both of them. Michael is someone I have come to know and appreciate over the years and C is a new connection who is kind and full of heart. Both are wonderful souls who shared their magnificence and indicated an interest in a reading. I am fortunate to consider them my friends.

Congratulations to C and Michael!

I feel blessed to have been gifted with the ability to interpret charts and share my insights with others. Astrology is a complex and intricate language the unlocks the essence of our soul’s promise.

If you want to give a loved one a unique holiday gift, contact me here to order one of my services.

Thanks to all the challenge participants and all readers of litebeing chronicles. It is hard to fathom it is coming up on my four-year blogiversary. The community that has gathered around me is miraculous and keeps growing and blossoming.

Thanks again.

Hey! pub domain

Hey everyone out in cyberspace. What’s shaking? I added a horse image to accompany this blog because I remember being told ” Hay is for horses!” whenever I would say Hey!

With Mars in the very beginning of Sagittarius, horses are very fitting anyway. I have missed everyone so much, but have not had the time or inclination to write and publish lately. I really wish I could devote more energy to leisurely going through my reader, slowly and thoughtfully drinking in each post, perhaps with a cup of tea.

Forgive me for not answering your comments sooner or adding my own to your material. I do the best I can as I still adjust to my new responsibilities.

Welcome to my new readers! I hope you hang in there with me. The archives are filled with material on a plethora of topics, so please avail yourself of the oldies but goodies while I work on my next draft. There is a piece brewing about magic and enchantment and some wonderful synchronicities. Classic litebeing material, if I don’t say so myself.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and the shift from Scorpio to Sag. Can you feel the change? I know that I do and I am grateful for the respite from the shadows and subterfuge. What a relief to move about with less baggage and more transparency.

Until we meet again…..

I have observed that I typically attract certain people, places, and circumstances in clusters, and during certain times. Last year during the Scorpio season, friends and family from near and far came together to celebrate me. It was unlike other birthdays because of the diversity of people and how most of the gatherings came to me organically. I wrote about this phenomenon here and here and here.

The preponderance of planets in the Western hemisphere of my natal chart means that experiences usually come to me via initiation by others. It is about receptivity and waiting. While waiting is not my strong suit, experience has shown me that my life moves the most when other people catalyze actions. This past week or so has certainly proven that time and time again. Last weekend was spent doing a spontaneously scheduled phone reading for Dayna. It was wonderful to connect in this way. That afternoon I traveled to a nearby gallery to attend an astrology lecture. The event had some glitches ( to be revealed later), but there was such a wonderful vibe among those gathered, along with a surprise encounter. One of the attendees is an old friend who recently moved back to the area after being away for a good while. We had not seen one another for about 14 years. Being in each other’s company sparked so many great memories. We expect to see each other again very soon.

This weekend was a beautiful conglomeration of three magical meals among  gal pals old and new, along with the supportive men who care for them. These meals came together mostly seamlessly and effortlessly, despite all the retrograde theatrics. Friday night I had dinner with Sarah, Ka, and her very accepting and witty husband. Being in the company of these amazing bloggettes and celebrating our shared connection was precious. It felt like we were resuming our sisterhood, rather than forging new bonds. Ka traveled all the way from California to visit her friends and family in Pennsylvania. I am so grateful she included me and invited Sarah. Words are inadequate to describe the electricity and love between us.

Saturday I get an impromptu invitation to lunch with my former mentee / current friend Rachel. She just happened to be in my neighborhood. While I was a bit wired from Friday evening’s festivities, I decided to meet up for a leisurely lunch. Rachel and I  are about 15 years apart so she is the same age now that I was when I became her college mentor. It is very cool to see how we both have changed and mellowed over time. It is also great that we share the same sun/moon combo ( Scorpio sun, Gemini moon). Our temperaments are similar and we tend to enjoy many of the same interests. The conversation is never stifled when we get together!

Sunday evening I hung out with Caryn and her friend ( we will call him Bob.) You may remember Caryn from her fabulous paintings posted here. She drove all the way from Connecticut for only a few days. Bob’s presence made a pleasant addition to our party. It was fantastic that Caryn made time for me during her brief visit with Bob. I also met her beloved Scotty terrier ( one of three.), public domain

Per usual, there were interesting themes among the 3 visits. For example, one of the men has an uncanny resemblance to a former flame. You know, the one who seems to show up in unexpected ways. I did NOT see that coming! One friend lives in San Diego and another friend was invited to travel to San Diego. One friend was curious about visiting a new boutique grocery store that opened nearby and another friend went to that grocery before meeting up with me that evening. The icing on the synchronicity cake is that I adore the rotisserie chicken at that market and go there specifically for the chicken. Well, one friend bought some of that famous rotisserie chicken for her dog and brought the leftovers with her to the French restaurant! It is also synchronous to know that the word rotisserie happens to be French in origin. None of these connections were planned or discussed beforehand. One last detail: all 3 restaurants are located on the same street and two of them are located in the same hotel.

I am so thrilled that I got to spend all this time with such phenomenal spirits. During this part of my journey, it really matters to have a supportive community to call your own. While the activity was frenetic at times, the love and affection was palpable. I have said it many times before, but I am so grateful to have cultivated such incredible friendships.

While I thought Pluto transiting my 11th house of friends might leave me isolated and lonely, the opposite is true. When all is said and done, the folks who remained or appeared over this ten-year transit have proven to be kind, generous, and genuine. Excuse the superlatives, these are amazing people and the adjectives used are not in any way inauthentic. What is also worth mentioning is that all of them would most likely enjoy each other’s energy. I am so lucky they all have me in common.

So here’s the restaurant buzz, if you find yourself in Philadelphia:

Eclectic healthy eats and comfort food:

Chinese fusion:

Classic French:

Tell me about your tribe. How did you coalesce?
