Half- Birthday Greetings!

Howdy litebeings and welcome to all my new followers! Today is my half-birthday and that makes me 56 1/2 years old in Earth time. More like 17 inside and 90 outside ( and sometimes the reverse is true). In my case, the sun also squares my Ascendant! It makes life a bit intense at times.  Anyway, I have been somewhat absent from WP and want to say hello and update you a little on the past few weeks.

I am still waiting for my car to be returned to me and I am glad that it will be finished after Mercury and Venus stationed direct. I have Venus ruling my 3rd house and this episode seems to be linked with Venus and Mercury moving backwards through my 2nd house of possessions. Uranus is still transiting my 2nd house also and this may have triggered the accident.

Internally I have been feeling alternately fearful, overwhelmed, and hopeful. Sometimes these emotions appear together. I have been getting interesting guidance lately. Most of the time it appears subtly, but this week the messages were very obvious. I have plenty to ponder.

Future posts:

1 Dreams and synchronicity

2  Book review on the Quaker Spiritual Path

3  Film review on synchronicity

4 Emerging intuitive process

While I strive to be organized and efficient ( Virgo north node), I allow myself to veer off when necessary. I will be back soon to finish responding to all your wonderful comments.

Purple Forever

Here is my tribute to Prince, re published on the 1 year anniversary of his passing. As I write this, I witness another otter ( muskrat, groundhog, ??) sighting. He or she was too fast for me to capture photographically. Still cool to receive some awesome creature magick.

I want to use this opportunity to briefly editorialize on the evolution of my blogging, which is very apropos for a Mercury retro cycle. Initially I thought I would write a few posts about my spiritual journey, as an English student would for a teacher. My grades would be in the form of readers and comments. At least that is how it appears looking back. 2013 was an exciting and mysterious time for me and many others. My writing flourished here, and I grew as a result, both creatively and personally.

As my health began to deteriorate and my finances followed suit, my writing grew both more dark and more intimate. I let you in and shared more of my deepest fears and complicated musings. The polished writer facade became more flawed and exposed.

Please be open to every aspect of my writing and try not to draw any sweeping conclusions. Existence is about context and my blog reflects that context over the dimensions of space and time. Creative types are often both tortured and brilliant simultaneously. Please enjoy my Prince post as you contemplate that paradox.

much love, Linda litebeing

I was preparing to buy groceries when the news came in. Prince is gone at age 57. Think tender and brash, shy and overtly sexual. Think 1999, Purple Rain, Diamonds and Pearls, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Raspberry Beret, Little Red Corvette, Money Don’t Matter Tonight etc.  Just Tuesday afternoon while I was driving to a medical appointment, Purple Rain came on the radio. I have not heard it in quite some time. I became very emotional and was surprised by my reaction. Could I have been sent a message foreshadowing this event? Quite likely.

I learned today that he also had an emergency visit to the hospital on 4-14-16 and was also released on 4-15-16.

But I am here and he is not.

Happy 4th litebeing chronicles! ~ Fourever Yours

abundance.jpg welcome to my blog

Happy 4th birthday litebeing chronicles! Hundreds of posts, over 750 followers and counting and a glorious community that has been my lifeline, all began with the desire to speak my truth and a courageous intention to let everything fall into place as it may. And here we are!

I already published my new year’s blog, so today’s entry will be brief. I reviewed my very first post and realize that my goals are the same. My initial intention was – and still is, to share the “little things” that are not really little after-all, and let them speak, to give them a voice.

Here’s an example from yesterday :

I am facilitating a new group for younger, more recently diagnosed clients and it is just the three of us. I asked the others to share happy memories and some of their talents and gifts. The participants are hesitant to share as this is a new project and trust has to be developed. It turns out that one person was a comedy writer and the other a poet; one dreamed of being an actor and the other dreamed of being an actress. The three of us are writers in various stages of creative process across our lifespans. One participant spoke of  a mini breakthrough that occurred recently. He described it as ” a glimmer of light”.  I grinned to myself . We have something here.

A glimmer of lite. That’s all that is required to awaken. A flash of insight, a familiar melody, an unexpected encounter, a telling dream… This is why I write and why I continue to share, regardless of obstacles that continue to cross my path. That glimmer is sacred. It welcomes each and every one of us back to consciousness, to helps us find our way back home.

Thank you to readers both old and new. Please say hello and let me know you are here! It is wonderful to notice such an increase in new readers. Yet so few take the time to like or comment. I know our lives are busy, but if my words move you in any way, please let me know.

Here I have copied my very first blog, written on 1-11-13 for all of you to read. For many this will be an initial glimpse of my ” mission statement”. Since this is the fourth year and 4 signifies a foundation, I believe this article provides the grounding that led me to this point.

Thanks again for all the love and support along the way.

Fourever yours, litebeing

Hello world and welcome to my first blog. I have decided that since we survived the Mayan Apocalypse that I would chronicle my Divine encounters for 2013. The purpose of this project is to chronicle my ordinary experiences that are colored with that ” something extra”, the inexplicable sparkle that hints of the Source.

fractal-e1336755489370

I recently have begun to link my identity with litebeing because it accurately describes my current state of being. I have been on a spiritual quest most of my adult life and thought I had this journey thing nearly figured out. I have had some mind-blowing experiences with groups and individually, have been able to really tap into my intuition, and have been able to use these gifts in serving others as a therapist, social worker, and astrologer. Yet, I have recently become more awakened and as a result of this process discovered that I have only begun to glimpse the true nature of life on this planet. So I downgraded myself from a lightbeing to a litebeing.

Joy of Life by Josephine Wall

I intend to blog weekly about my adventures living as a spiritual being having a human experience. However, the frequency will depend on how much there is to share. My goal is to share my stories so others will be able to take a closer look into their own ordinary encounters in a more conscious way. I plan to do so with humor, candor, and authenticity.  Above all, I aim to inspire.

Come along with me on this journey , share comments, and  let me know how its going for you.

Happy 2013!!!!

Magnificent Winners

photo1363

I hope everyone has been enjoying my recent photos of Christmas at Longwood Gardens. It is such a magical place, full of enchantment and mystery, particularly during this time of year.

As the days grow colder in the U.S. and virtually all the trees have shed their leaves, I am reminded that Winter is here ( officially on 12-21-16). As we move closer to the end of 2016, I grieve for all the sorrow and pray for redemption and another shot at peace.

I am in a very reflective mood and hope to organize my musings later on this weekend. In the meantime, I have an announcement to make.

HERE ARE THE WINNERS OF LITEBEING’S MAGNIFICENT CHALLENGE CONTEST:

  1.  C of judahfirst.wordpress.com
  2.  Michael of embracingforever.com

Initially there was to only be one winner, but I decided to award free astrology readings to both of them. Michael is someone I have come to know and appreciate over the years and C is a new connection who is kind and full of heart. Both are wonderful souls who shared their magnificence and indicated an interest in a reading. I am fortunate to consider them my friends.

Congratulations to C and Michael!

I feel blessed to have been gifted with the ability to interpret charts and share my insights with others. Astrology is a complex and intricate language the unlocks the essence of our soul’s promise.

If you want to give a loved one a unique holiday gift, contact me here to order one of my services.

Thanks to all the challenge participants and all readers of litebeing chronicles. It is hard to fathom it is coming up on my four-year blogiversary. The community that has gathered around me is miraculous and keeps growing and blossoming.

Thanks again.

Hey!

wikipedia.org pub domain

Hey everyone out in cyberspace. What’s shaking? I added a horse image to accompany this blog because I remember being told ” Hay is for horses!” whenever I would say Hey!

With Mars in the very beginning of Sagittarius, horses are very fitting anyway. I have missed everyone so much, but have not had the time or inclination to write and publish lately. I really wish I could devote more energy to leisurely going through my reader, slowly and thoughtfully drinking in each post, perhaps with a cup of tea.

Forgive me for not answering your comments sooner or adding my own to your material. I do the best I can as I still adjust to my new responsibilities.

Welcome to my new readers! I hope you hang in there with me. The archives are filled with material on a plethora of topics, so please avail yourself of the oldies but goodies while I work on my next draft. There is a piece brewing about magic and enchantment and some wonderful synchronicities. Classic litebeing material, if I don’t say so myself.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and the shift from Scorpio to Sag. Can you feel the change? I know that I do and I am grateful for the respite from the shadows and subterfuge. What a relief to move about with less baggage and more transparency.

Until we meet again…..

I have observed that I typically attract certain people, places, and circumstances in clusters, and during certain times. Last year during the Scorpio season, friends and family from near and far came together to celebrate me. It was unlike other birthdays because of the diversity of people and how most of the gatherings came to me organically. I wrote about this phenomenon here and here and here.

The preponderance of planets in the Western hemisphere of my natal chart means that experiences usually come to me via initiation by others. It is about receptivity and waiting. While waiting is not my strong suit, experience has shown me that my life moves the most when other people catalyze actions. This past week or so has certainly proven that time and time again. Last weekend was spent doing a spontaneously scheduled phone reading for Dayna. It was wonderful to connect in this way. That afternoon I traveled to a nearby gallery to attend an astrology lecture. The event had some glitches ( to be revealed later), but there was such a wonderful vibe among those gathered, along with a surprise encounter. One of the attendees is an old friend who recently moved back to the area after being away for a good while. We had not seen one another for about 14 years. Being in each other’s company sparked so many great memories. We expect to see each other again very soon.

This weekend was a beautiful conglomeration of three magical meals among  gal pals old and new, along with the supportive men who care for them. These meals came together mostly seamlessly and effortlessly, despite all the retrograde theatrics. Friday night I had dinner with Sarah, Ka, and her very accepting and witty husband. Being in the company of these amazing bloggettes and celebrating our shared connection was precious. It felt like we were resuming our sisterhood, rather than forging new bonds. Ka traveled all the way from California to visit her friends and family in Pennsylvania. I am so grateful she included me and invited Sarah. Words are inadequate to describe the electricity and love between us.

Saturday I get an impromptu invitation to lunch with my former mentee / current friend Rachel. She just happened to be in my neighborhood. While I was a bit wired from Friday evening’s festivities, I decided to meet up for a leisurely lunch. Rachel and I  are about 15 years apart so she is the same age now that I was when I became her college mentor. It is very cool to see how we both have changed and mellowed over time. It is also great that we share the same sun/moon combo ( Scorpio sun, Gemini moon). Our temperaments are similar and we tend to enjoy many of the same interests. The conversation is never stifled when we get together!

Sunday evening I hung out with Caryn and her friend ( we will call him Bob.) You may remember Caryn from her fabulous paintings posted here. She drove all the way from Connecticut for only a few days. Bob’s presence made a pleasant addition to our party. It was fantastic that Caryn made time for me during her brief visit with Bob. I also met her beloved Scotty terrier ( one of three.)

wikipedia.org, public domain

Per usual, there were interesting themes among the 3 visits. For example, one of the men has an uncanny resemblance to a former flame. You know, the one who seems to show up in unexpected ways. I did NOT see that coming! One friend lives in San Diego and another friend was invited to travel to San Diego. One friend was curious about visiting a new boutique grocery store that opened nearby and another friend went to that grocery before meeting up with me that evening. The icing on the synchronicity cake is that I adore the rotisserie chicken at that market and go there specifically for the chicken. Well, one friend bought some of that famous rotisserie chicken for her dog and brought the leftovers with her to the French restaurant! It is also synchronous to know that the word rotisserie happens to be French in origin. None of these connections were planned or discussed beforehand. One last detail: all 3 restaurants are located on the same street and two of them are located in the same hotel.

I am so thrilled that I got to spend all this time with such phenomenal spirits. During this part of my journey, it really matters to have a supportive community to call your own. While the activity was frenetic at times, the love and affection was palpable. I have said it many times before, but I am so grateful to have cultivated such incredible friendships.

While I thought Pluto transiting my 11th house of friends might leave me isolated and lonely, the opposite is true. When all is said and done, the folks who remained or appeared over this ten-year transit have proven to be kind, generous, and genuine. Excuse the superlatives, these are amazing people and the adjectives used are not in any way inauthentic. What is also worth mentioning is that all of them would most likely enjoy each other’s energy. I am so lucky they all have me in common.

Share Your World ~ Retrograde Edition

As Mercury joins the rest of the retrograde party tomorrow ( 4-28-16) with Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, let’s take a pause. I enjoy Cee’s Share Your World challenges as a way to get off the merry-go-round and change-up my typical intense blogging style.

So let’s get started:

When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?

I prefer pens to pencils because they leave a stronger mark. Pencil is great for sketching though.

What’s your choice: jigsaw, word, maze or numeric puzzles?

I lack the patience for crosswords, but will take a stab at one now and again. I do like jigsaw, but really don’t want to invest the time. A few years back I did complete a castle jigsaw and it was quite a lovely finished product. I am very fond of castles, so that was the draw. Typically I get my puzzle fix at lumosity. I really like the variety of games (excluding the mathematical ones). They are challenging, fun, and allegedly great for improving memory, multitasking, facial recognition, and more.

Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?

My modern planetary ruler is in Leo. So watch this video and then take an educated guess.

List five of your favorite blogs.

There are so many blogs that I follow and read religiously. I will pick five that are featuring topics and images that impact my life in a big way, in present time. I find that there is so much fluidity lately to my interests and concerns. Thanks to all the amazing bloggers for making this such a challenging decision.

It really is hard to choose, but choose I will…

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week was not one I would want to repeat, BUT, all my tests results taken last week were favorable. Also, I did a guest post for GrievingD and I am getting  requests to contribute more material for future guest blogs. I would be delighted to do more of these, so please contact me if you are interested in having me write something for your blog, website, or magazine.

This week I had a job interview and it went really well. The interviewer told me that I am definitely in the running. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I await the decision. I feel this program would be a good fit for me at this time.

The next few days look exciting with prospects of visiting old and new friends. Next week is quite open at this point. I kinda like it that way. Why don’t we all take a breath together and let the world sail by? Doesn’t that feel good!

Happy Mercury Retrograde!

So 2 bloggers enter a bar …

Yesterday I returned home from my third hospital stay within close to a one year time frame. Before I compose a post about my latest medical crisis, I want to acknowledge gratitude for all my friends. Especially my online ones. The outpouring of love is beyond compare. People show up in unexpected ways , just when I need them most. Some of them are not even consciously aware that I am in need. Imagine that. I dedicate this re-blog to my WordPress family.

litebeing chronicles

The past few years could be compared to life on a movie set. I have heard that performers typically complain that they are continuously being told to hurry up and wait. Hurry up and wait, I know this line too well. Especially in terms of my career search. Yet in other areas, manifestation is easy. I don’t do much at all except turn on my laptop and pay my internet service provider bill.

When it comes to making cosmic connections of the friendship variety, I have all the right qualifications and no interviews are required. The only networking necessary is that of the Divine variety.  The job is already mine and it does not feel like work at all. Joy abounds and the living is easy. Like when all the Scorpio planets move in and Mercury starts moving forward.

Share My World ~ 2016 Edition

Here are my responses to this week’s Share Your World Challenge over at Cee’s Photography. Her challenges are tons of fun, but then there’s her flowers, WOW! Please check out her wonderful blog and you’ll see that Cee is all that!

This is a great crop of questions, so let’s dig in, shall we?

Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?

Why yes, I do. There was a time where it seemed unlikely to me. But after being exposed to Steven Spielberg, any doubts began to fade. The film Contact, which was inspired by Carl Sagan”s novel, sealed the deal. I have not had any encounters, except perhaps with myself. A psychic long ago did some past life work for me and stumbled upon something that surprised her. ” Your origins are not from this planet.”, she said.  At that time I was horrified, already feeling like such an outsider. But is any form of consciousness tethered to a planet anyway?

How many places have you lived? You can share the number of physical residences and/or the number of cities.

wikipedia.org pub domain

I have lived in four states. Born and bred in Brooklyn, New York and then I landed in Queens for a few years. Then I spent 3rd grade though 5th grade in Reading ( near Harrisburg) PA.  The end of 5th grade and most of 6th grade was spent in New Britain ( near Hartford) Connecticut. I remained in Cherry Hill, New Jersey from the end of 6th grade through high school. I moved to Phila, PA to attend college and never looked back. There have been several moves within Philadelphia but I have stayed in the NW section close to the Montgomery County border for almost 30 years. I moved to this neighborhood during my Saturn Return. That was the highlight of that transit for me. I often wondered why it was so meh. I figured it was because Saturn rules my 12th house of  ~ what is hidden, unconscious. Recently I took a fresh look and noticed that transiting Neptune was conjunct Saturn. So my transition to adulthood was  covered in fog. Aha, this makes sense!

I did not like living in either New York or Cherry Hill. I preferred Reading with its rolling hills, awesome Mt. Penn., and friendly people. I also enjoyed the woods of Connecticut and the allure that New England held for me. Returning to Pennsylvania truly felt like coming home.

If you given $22 million tax-free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do?

Billets_de_5000

Impulsively I decided to play last week’s Powerball lottery. I fantasized about how to spend $1.5 Billion dollars. I quickly realized I do not want all that money. I then considered how to spend about $ 2 million. The first thing I would do is get a new car. Maybe something energy-efficient and cute like this:

wikipedia.org public domain

But in a different color, maybe something metallic. I did not win any money, but I stumbled upon a semi-premonition. Once I made the choice to play, I thought about where to buy my tickets. I was persuaded internally to go to a Wawa. I felt very good about this location. All 3 winning tickets in Pennsylvania were purchased at , you guessed it, Wawa. Now all I need is the winning numbers and I’m all set.

The Never List: What are things you’ve never done? Or things you know you never will do?

A short list:

Skydiving

Bungee jumping

Olympic try – outs

Hunting

Becoming a Reality TV star * ( see item below)

Get plastic surgery * ( see item above)

*Plastic surgery and Reality TV probably go together.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I have 3 old David Bowie albums and my original turntable to play them on. I am also grateful that my new favorite miniseries Wayward Pines is returning this summer. I am grateful to have some repeat astrology clients to read for the next few weeks. I am also grateful that my local astrology group is under new management and has planned some exciting activities and amazing lecturers. I plan to attend their first meeting of 2016 tomorrow.

It is exciting when I see how my psychic abilities manifest. This gives me hope that I can create gold out of lead, metaphorically speaking. I had given up on Wayward Pines and just discovered yesterday that the announcement was made 1 month ago. This is quite puzzling. I google Wayward Pines frequently to check its status. How could I have missed this?  But I digress..

It is never too late to expand our awareness and re-calibrate our ideas. Something odd is beeping as I type these last few words. I guess it is a sign that Source is in agreement.

UPDATE ( about 15 minutes later) The beeping may have been an ET telling me to check my mail. Guess what I just found outside my door? My new Matt Kahn book.

Something else to feel grateful for.
