Old songs have been on my mind of late. Watching the Macy’s Parade on Thursday I heard an old song of my youth being sung by Dionne Warwick. I had no idea she sang on the recording What The World Needs Now. Jackie Deshannon also sang this song back in 1965. I was a little kid and I did not know any of these people, but hearing the song reminded me of being with my grandmother and hearing it on the radio. It is such a lovely song and just as powerful today as it was during the turbulent 1960s.
Today’s reblog elicited another old song memory from long ago. I just realized that old songs was a large part of yesterday’s reblog which was inspired by The Music Never Stopped.
Anyway, today’s reblog is back in 2013 when I was interviewed by another blogger for her site. I think I was taking this blogging a bit too seriously, believing that all these people would be reading my humble blog. Maybe not, but I do recall how much I enjoyed the process. Given that so often many feel misunderstood and simply not heard, an interview can certainly rectify that. I had hoped to begin my own interview series here, but alas there were no volunteers. The offer still stands so it is never too late. Click here to read the post but before you do, listen to the video below. Interesting to note, the title of this post is based on a Kelly Clarkson song. And on it goes…..
peace, l

Indeed. In the film The Music Never Stopped the Music Therapist said that when you hear a song that you are immediately transported to the moment when you first heard it and you relive the moment. That is true for me. Always good to hear from you Sue ❤️
