I frequently wrote poetry in my teens and early 20s. Not much anymore. I don’t have copies of most of my poems accessible, particularly after my most recent move. However, from time to time a line from a poem I wrote around age 19 arises in my consciousness. ” Life is Moving Like a Song.” I am assuming the following line had to do with something going wrong, but I am not sure. What I am sure of is my preoccupation with the passage of time, even as a young person. I do not remember what moving like a song meant at that time, but I could guess it had to do with a creative flow. Pop songs are usually short and I certainly listened to many rock and pop songs in my youth.
This Summer basically evaporated as far as I am concerned. My thoughts often wandered to the Election, which is still a primary focus. As November 5th approaches, I try to keep myself grounded in the present. This is where life actually happens. Right. Now. No do -overs in the 3D world, at least not for myself. I suppose being busy is preferable to being idle. I abhor boredom and I rarely feel bored anymore. My work days are long and I am ready for sleep most evenings before my “bedtime”. I long to experience more of my life, moment by moment. It is a worthwhile challenge because there is so much to notice, explore, relish.
Tomorrow the Sun moves into the sign of Libra and Venus enters Scorpio. In the northern latitudes we celebrate the Autumnal Equinox and Spring begins in the south. The calendar remains the same but the experience varies greatly. I want to mark this event somehow. Fall is a favorite time for me and I anticipate lovely foliage and brisk weather.
I am sharing a ritual recording from Ancestral Medicine. It is a free offering so I offer this freely. I have not viewed it yet but the title is Courage and Catastrophe. Daniel Foor is a complicated person, with lots of angst underneath a Libra Veneer. I enjoy his complexity most of the time. BTW he is never boring, even when I strongly oppose some of his ideas. It is okay because I consider him a moral man who cares about Earth and life in general.

May life move like a song in the best way possible for yourself and all you love. Happy Equinox wherever you reside. Namaste

This is a beautiful post, reflective of how quickly time flies by and also capturing a feeling of how we change over time. If we are lucky, change is a beautiful thing; in sync with ourselves, and we gain wisdom; for me, it matches your wonderful line, “Life is Moving Like a Song,” with a bit of happiness and optimism intertwined. As you say, “… there is so much to notice, explore, relish.” 😊
