Just a short post to share some recent photos from Longwood Gardens. I decided to head out before my car goes into the shop on Monday. I do not like crowds and it was rather crowded at times. However the wonder of it all got through all the built up angst, anxiety, and sadness that has been welling up inside of me. I did not know I needed it until I received it.
A lovely surprise was that while viewing the orchids I traveled back in time. I was feeling the energy of a memory from the early 1980s spending time away from home with my boyfriend. I cannot place the location or event but it was a memory of feeling wonder, novelty, and openness to love. It was very quick but potent. I took a little time afterwards to process it so I could remember that I had this experience. It is different than recalling a past event. It was a bodily sensation mixed with an emotional one. I am not really sure why it surfaced but it did remind me that there was a time when I could tolerate uncertainty with grace. That I could revel in adventure and trust it would work out. Can anyone reading this relate? If so, please leave me a comment.
Now for a few photos, beginning with some awesome trees:
Thanks for describing the energy of a memory of feeling wonder, novelty, and openness to love, that bodily sensation mixed with an emotional one. Your description is evocative and I can relate!

Beautiful photos! I’m always grateful when an experience can bring up a pleasant sensation and help remind me of positive associations! I was at Longwood Gardens once with an ex-boyfriend, around the holidays! That was 2010! The place was so magical and I haven’t been there since.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the sensation memory thing Ka! Longwood is a special place and how cool to know you have also visited. Something about this part of PA ( near Delaware and Maryland) speaks to me.
