Be Accountable ~ Independence Day 2024

Here are some thoughts about Independence Day here in the United States. I hope they will be helpful in some way for the greater good.

When my intuition is on fire, it blocks out my ever – distracted analytical mind.

Just one week ago I was on the couch watching the Presidential Debate.
Winding down from a hectic workday that ended an hour or so earlier, I knew I needed to watch this event. Part of me had the lowest of expectations, considering my feelings about both candidates. Within less than a few minutes in, my intuition was on full alert. I was witnessing the beginning of the end. The end of whatever stray illusions I still clung to about the Democratic Party brand. The corruption is no longer masked.

It can be isolating when you realize things earlier than most.  Many who read this blog are in this group of  ” early awakened . ” As a young child I knew something on this planet was truly off, wrong, scary, unsafe. Eventually I began to realize that most people don’t share my perceptions or simply don’t pay much attention. But that has significantly changed since then.

As someone who has worked in the mental health for decades, I know confusion and decline when I see it. While jet lag and colds are not fun, they do not present as Biden did on that debate stage. By comparison as I watched Trump I thought, ” He seems to have calmed down a bit and appears to be more logical. ” I recognize that this assessment is frightening to the core. Where do we go from here?

While I do believe that the hype about America’s greatness is overblown,  there is still some fairy dust involved in the creation of this country. This societal experiment was seeded from the quantum to give humanity a chance of survival.  People and events came together to offer up an opportunity to highlight the potential within us all. Far from ideal, choices were made to rise above the ego and work towards  a more perfect union.

I recall in the 1990s how learning about the social welfare movement shifted my understanding of my country of birth. I remember realizing that Capitalism is the current government model,   Democracy was over. It had been replaced by a system fueled by greed, competition, and power. Sadness washed over me but it was preferable to being in the dark. At that time I still had faith in Bill Clinton to be a progressive leader. Looking back, I think it was more my weakness for charming Leo men! However as I moved into my role as a Master’s Level Social Worker I knew that I was committed to making a difference here. I was going to help put the pieces back together, to heal the illusion of duality in order to restore divine unity. I still am committed.

The astrology of these times is definitely on the money. I attended several lectures that predicted unparalleled chaos and uncertainty. However they failed to provide the specifics. And here we are.

While the US is at a crossroads I have been following that Western Europe is also in the midst of major transitions with their elections. One can try but cannot succeed in clinging to an Isolationist view. What effects France, effects China, What impacts China, impacts Israel. What threatens the Polar Ice Caps, threatens the Amazon. On and on it goes. Like it or not, no – thing is separate.

I have been praying for a solution. I realize we are the solution. What does that look like? How can love prevail over fear? How does the unpowerful and less resourced influence the status quo? If in fact everything on the world stage is being manipulated by a group of Elites, how can they be rendered powerless?

When the masses decide to band together and do what is right and morally correct, anything is possible.

May this Independence Day be far from our last. May it be a time of recalibration, accountability, and commitment to freedom.
