Art is My Medicine ~ Follow the Thread

Woman With Umbrella, Washington Square

It all began with setting an intention to receive a symbol from Source. The other day ( was it yesterday?) I asked for a carriage. Today I was curious about viewing Barnes Takeout Art Talk on YouTube and chose the Glackens piece above because of the pastel colors and soft lines. Later on the video I noticed a horse drawn carriage on the upper left hand side. Yes! I exclaimed, here’s my sign!

Glackens was an impressionist painter from Philadelphia and a close friend of Albert Barnes. This piece is described as both an sketch and a painting and I am quite taken with it. The carriage is just a bonus.

When I examine my current take on my spiritual journey, I strive to bring it to down to basics. There is so much noise “out there” and my soul relies on simplicity and silence. Where do I stand on Ascension, QAnon, WayFair, The US presidential election, and so much more? How does any of this connect to finding a fulfilling job that I can see as part of my evolving career? I keep following the thread. I may be entertained by a belief system or teacher or pundit. Lord knows I spend so much time reading, viewing, listening ( via my new love Audible), and processing overwhelming amounts of data. I know that the limits of my senses will not give me answers, nor will my attachment to a particular teacher or personality outside of my self. It has to go deeper. It does not have to feel comfortable but it has to feel authentically true. That is the work of my higher self to reveal to my embodied human self.

I used to be so decisive but lately I work diligently to take in multiple points of view. It is no secret that we are failing as a people and that life does not have to be so hard for so many. That much I am sure of. The different terms and labels do not clarify anything for me.Β  Words ( and as a writer I am fond of words) fall short of eliciting meaning from socio-political-psycho-spiritual constructs. They only add more fog to the mix.

So I am going to showcase a few more from the Glackens archives and keep following a thread until it leads me somewhere that pops in my soul. Until when the next thread arrives, and so on.

Let’s keep creating and supporting each other, irregardless of the temporary opinions we espouse at any given moment. If you are for love and hope and restoring light, we got this!

  1. All for love and light dear Linda.πŸ’šπŸ™ There is do much information and misinformation out there within the treads we all weave. Discerning from our hearts and higher perspectives is what I align with.
Trusting our inner compass and heart’s.
    Much love your way πŸ’•πŸ€—

  2. I’m following ‘threads’ too – in a totally intuitive way – winding my way through various ‘options’ that show up and exploring internal landscape more and more and less of what is external – simply because, it’s seems to offer more answers, daily, than what is offered in the ‘fog’ of information available to one with internet or phone service, at the drop of a hat – – πŸ™‚ The information highway has become a super-multi-lane interstate with much road construction, detours and ambushes along the way – I do wonder, though, as my journey turns ever more inward – when shall those who flood inboxes and social media feeds with demands, threats, finger pointing and false info, figure out, most are tuning them out? Sigh – I surmise they won’t notice for awhile. Perhaps a long while – but then, I’ve been waiting for such things to happen for quite some time now – – LOL

    1. Thanks for commenting here! I find much refuge within most of the time, but can get led back to media rather quickly, thinking I may be missing something. There is so much to play with internally, so much to discover,

BTW, were you able to write up a testimonial? I am hoping to gather up a few to re-energize my business.

      blessings to you ❀

  3. Beautiful, sublime paintings, Linda. I would be interested in what you think about QAnon – just heard about it two days ago. Here the media attack the “conspiracists” viciously – I was shocked when I read an article on a Swiss portal about how “Esoteriker” (esotericists?) and the extreme right are in cahoots because they think in the same way – wtf, really.

    1. No, not really lol! but sometimes….
The overlap with QAnon among right radical conservatives and spiritual seekers is happening here. I came upon QAnon shortly after it started, do not recall how I found out. I followed along for awhile, not directly but through bloggers and people on youtube like The Edge of Wonder and Praying Medic. It is really tricky. I no longer believe there is much to this Q because so few of the predictions came to pass, but there might be some kernels of truth. Most huge movements contain at least some truth within, I have found. I wanted to believe because I wanted some sense from the chaos and irrationality in my country. And so many of the staunch believers seem like great people and I have some offline friends who are very spiritual and are also strongly aligned with Q. They are not conservatives but love Trump. I simply cannot go there. My intuition won’t allow it. If it turns out I am wrong, that will be fine.
Glad you enjoyed the non-controversial artwork, lol!
