I keep coming back to the same thought: We are swimming in transits! It seems that there are few calm periods astrologically anymore, Maybe it has always been this way and I am just catching up, or perhaps it takes me longer to integrate the energies that come my way. In any case, we had a full Cancer moon this evening on the east coast of the US, with Uranus stationing direct tomorrow, 1-18-22. These two events pack quite a punch, especially since Pluto is conjunct the sun while opposing the moon. This lunation spells intensity, letting go, and transforming emotionally and creatively. the movement of Uranus signals more climate vents, financial surprises, and perhaps more food shortages, This is a lot to process. So let’s go see some art!
Here are some selections from my latest visit to Woodmere Art Museum. Larry Day was the featured painter this go round. I found this particular item in his bio to be noteworthy: ” Deeply speculative, Day believed that the ordinary in life is the source of all that is extraordinary. His embrace of everyday subjects was tethered to a deeply curious intellectual engagement with the figurative arts and the history of representation. ” I wish I was aware of this lens when I was taking in the exhibition. Apparently we both see the extraordinary in the ordinary!
