7/2/23 Update: Enjoy this reblog that demonstrates the power of New Year intentions ( Jewish New Year). I have been blessed with a new job, new car, and God willing, a new home very soon. I have been thinking about the old oak tree and when I found this post, I realized that I manifested quite a bit, albeit with some angst and struggle. Please take note of the lovely place I still call home, resplendent with many tree beings!
Many weeks have passed since the old oak tree was cut down. I noticed a void in my heart and soul, followed by a lack of creature activity in my backyard. I do not know for certain that this is directly linked to a few trees being cut down or something else ( or many reasons). What I do know is that within a brief amount of time I began to notice another oak that is no longer obscured from view. It also dawned on me that the mighty old oak was mighty close to my living room and could have fell in at any point. I have more clarity now and clarity is always welcome. In the picture above you can see the stump.
Tonight at 5:55 PM EDT We have a new moon at 2 degrees Libra. At sundown , 6:53 PM EDT, The Jewish New Year 5783 begins. This timing has been set intentionally and I appreciate the alignment of celebrations with planetary cycles. The Sabian symbol for this Lunation has a significant meaning: A Dawn of a New Day Reveals Everything Changed. At this moment I see this as extremely positive, brimming with opportunities for expansion of all that is of the Light. I realize that many astrologers are expecting a very dark season but I prefer to focus on the light. When I looked up the Sabian symbol I became very excited and joyful. Libra means peace and justice and love. I will be celebrating this Rosh Hashanah for the first time as a member of a synagogue. For most of my adult life I did not celebrate it at all. The past few days I have felt lighter and more grounded. So many of my beloved Spiritual teachers have been putting forth material that has resounded so positively for me on multiple levels. Currently I have been taking in the teachings of Gabor Mate, Lorie Ladd, Daniel Foor, and Matt Kahn. While many of their musings are not similar, they all appear as invitations for me to detach more from old stories, recognize the power of love, embrace the power of beliefs in removing dis-ease, and taking notice of the Higher Self as a daily practice. Put this all together and you get a recipe for release , reset, and renewal. Yes!
I will conclude this post with some photos of the old and current trees in my immediate vicinity. I will start with some of the old oak and end with some taken yesterday. The last few shots are of trees by my bedroom window and the front of the building. Why have I not appreciated those more? I am doing so now.
I can choose to see this transition as an example of the introduction to A Course in Miracles:
This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.
This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
Happy New Moon. Let’s toast to a new day…..

Beautiful Linda! Enjoy.
