Color Me Yellow

 

So much Gemini, so little time. Wait, I’ll explain!

The arrival of Jupiter in Gemini has been my writing muse. While Jupiter’s foray into a new sign is certainly not a rarity, this time it seems more personal. With my progressed Ascendant’s recent move into Gemini,  this transit could be big. The color for Gemini is yellow and I am featuring it today through select imagery. I will explain later in this post as to why.

First off , here are some personal tidbits about my Gemini dominant interests:

Audio books  – wow, who knew this recent technology would take me back to being read to as a child! I love hearing  the author’s voice because it is more intimate. Right now I am still listening to Barbra Streisand’s memoir. It is such a revealing, detailed, moving  piece coming from a rather private person. The more I know her, the more I respect the person she’s become and her willingness to be vulnerable.

Sunday NY Times – love this intermittent ritual. Fav sections ~ Opinion, Book Review, Magazine, Metropolitan,  Arts and Leisure, and Business. I usually rush to read Sunday Routine and The Cue features. Both features advise on resources , the former on New York City hangouts , stores, and food spots, and  the latter on popular while- often- offbeat entertainment offerings. I imagine someone spotlighting my Sunday routine and asking me about my entertainment tastes. Good thing I have a blog.

Podcasts – late to the party but still ” on time “.  I usually view them on Youtube because I will prefer seeing faces if possible. Some past and current faves : The Breakdown, Club Random, And Just Like That, Jewitches, and The Emerald.

 

 

So here’s the lowdown of my current experience : Astrologically is it very lunar for me at this time of year when so many bodies ( Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus ( usually ) enter Gemini. But with the Gemini new moon rather close to my lunar placement as Jupiter enters Gemini, that is very extra!  With my progressed Ascendant at 3 Gemini and my Natal IC at 5 Gemini along with transiting Jupiter  at 4 degrees 53 minutes Gemini ( at present) , there is so much activity. My moon is well placed in the 4th house, adding to the momentum of the IC activity. When a slower moving planet hits an angle, it is a less common occurrence. With secondary progressions, when a progressed angle comes to conjoin a natal angle, it is a rare event. Often it is a non – event because these movements are very slow and many transits will not happen within one lifespan. At my last Jupiter in Gemini transit, I began this blog! That certainly was a huge deal in my life as I began focusing on writing, utilizing communication on an online platform, This grand blogging virtual neighborhood welcomed me and great sisterly and brotherly connections were formed. Thank you all for the connections, recent, enduring, and everything in between.

 

 

I didn’t anticipate my WP journey but looking back, it all seems so obvious. This go round is still unfolding but I am noticing an interesting alignment between Gemini and the solar plexus chakra. It is very odd to notice that I habitually confuse the solar plexus with the sacral chakra. Not sure why, but for some reason I mix them up. I express many signs of both an underactive and overactive solar plexus chakra. It must be a thing because I struggle with digestive issues, fatigue, sadness,  temper, and at times verbal aggression. I do not consider myself to have low self – esteem, but I can default to self judgment when I encounter a difficult conflict in my life. I don’t dislike the color yellow, but am not drawn to it either. When it comes to my complexion , wearing yellow is not a good look. That is partially why I avoid it. I also prefer silver or copper jewelry to gold. Again, this is a skin tone issue ( at least on a surface level). Did you get the Gemini pun ?

I definitely enjoy my moon, which is convenient since Mercury, its ruler, is so present in my chart.  While I own most of the Mercury energy, it seems my GI tract is another matter. I am hoping that linking the solar plexus chakra with Gemini will lead to some healing. I plan to incorporate more yellow into my life. It is not much of a player in my home decor either. I may start with adding some new crystals to the mix.  Any feedback about this topic is certainly welcome.
