A Heartful of Wonder

I have created this piece for my Divine Mission-Possible blogging challenge. Visit here for all the details and to see the schedule. Interest in participation has been low this time around. But you can change that in an instant!

Please join us now and make this year’s challenge the best one yet!

This topic of life mission is an easy one for me to address because I ruminate about it all the time. As I entered middle age and witnessed the loss of many of my friends’ parents and many of my relatives, the grip of time became tighter. Time continues to speed up so fast that when I plan events many months in advance, I recognize that they will arrive in what appears to be only a week or two. So what have I done so far and is there a point to my existence?  I have felt quite depressed for the past few weeks, considering if I have veered way off course. It is so tempting to focus solely on the regrets, errors, losses, pain, and disappointment.  But such a narrow perspective can be a distraction from where this sea of memories has transported me thus far.

I was a very quiet, reserved child who felt different and in the way somehow. I spent plenty of my days passively observing the world around me. My sensitivity, curiosity and imagination have been profoundly obvious from the start and it took me some practice to cultivate the gifts they could provide. The ability to delight in the grace of artistry have given me comfort beyond description. When I was able to transcend early despair and woundedness, I could access joy through a kaleidoscopic lens.

So much pain created so much chaos, but the correct people and opportunities presented me with the ability to discover what moved me. Writing, astrology, and spelling of all things, taught me how to channel my imagination, wonder, and visual acuity into form. I think that I was a great speller because I had an uncanny ability to visualize words. I no longer possess that ability, but excelling and competing in spelling gave me confidence that was sorely needed as a child.

The rocky cliffs of Étretat by Monet.jpg

My love of beauty led me to draw as my curiosity led to studying astrology. Drawing still relaxes me and conversing with a client about their birth chart brings all the analysis and attention to symbols and patterns to life. It is so natural to understand why certain aspects of mysticism are effortless to me now. I honestly prefer what comes easily to me, but that is not what I apparently signed up for. If earthly life could only be an impressionist painting, waiting for me to dive in and immerse my soul in its delicacy and shimmering rays of bliss?

I do relate to the idea of a lightworker and have for quite a good while. I was around before the harmonic convergence, before ” New Age ” became a thing. I was coming into my own during the swirling, dazy Seventies, where the experimentation and boundary blurring of the Sixties had shaped our Western world through a technicolor lifestyle. I decided while in high school that I wanted to become a therapist and a writer, and make my impact on brightening up the planet. Like many of us, I longed to fix the brokenness around me and inside me. I retain some of that idealism, but am much more incarnation-fatigued than ever before.

I came here to heal, teach, inspire and share cumulative knowledge through the occult, psychic/intuitive abilities,  creative impulses and wit. Yeah, I came in natural witty ( Moon in Gemini). It has taken decades to see a clear path through my lineage and probable past lifetimes here and elsewhere. While the specifics are not absolute, the residue has led me to this conclusion. I am not certain about all the other labels we humans like to give ourselves, but I have been taught since my twenties that the planet would be transforming in a radical way. I do not have distinct memories of planning this lifetime, nor am I being informed of this by guides. Working on myself and serving others has provided me with this inner knowing.

Am I grateful to be alive here and now? Not usually, no. The past 6 years or so have been incredibly terrifying and heart wrenching for me a good deal of the time. I have written extensively about the difficulties so I will not rehash them again. The grip on my neck is tightening and the stakes are higher. Or they seem to be. I am not always clear on how much more hardship is in store for us individually or universally. I do feel that I am on a mission and that without all the early blows and ancestral damage, the motivation may not have been in full force. I have read from several sources that old-time lightworkers lost their way because they became inundated with the harshness of the material overlay that can hinder the development of consciousness. I know this is true for me. But I have not given up, not entirely. On countless occasions, an unexpected, often subtle sign would appear, helping my melt away my despair, albeit temporarily. The more I love, the more my heart opens. The more vulnerable I allow myself to remain, the greater is the likelihood of pain and grief to penetrate my soul. But here’s the thing; my soul is so much bigger than little I, so much stronger than this body that I am renting by the hour. So I do the best I can, and when I need to rest, I rest. A full heart is a mixed blessing, but in the unlimited realms from where we all originate(and currently reside in parallel realities), blessings are infinite.

Just a Tease!

Howdy Litebeings! I am giving you a quick heads up that November will once again be upon us soon. November signifies many things I can assure you. At Litebeing Chronicles we create a blogging challenge every November. The idea for Blogging Challenge 2018 came to me just a couple of days ago. Fortunately,  my guidance provided validation shortly thereafter. Here’s a clue:

More details to come!

Magnificence in Motion ~ I AM THAT I AM

Hello everyone, this is my contribution to Litebeing’s Magnificent Challenge. I waited until today to complete my post because I needed some time to put it all together. I am thrilled with the response we have gotten. After posting a reminder yesterday, two more bloggers added their entries to the mix. Thanks Dayna and Michael for sharing your reflections on what makes you “you“. There is still some time left to enter the challenge. Why not take a few minutes and conjure up  some of your magnificent essence now? There is also a shot at a free reading and this nifty badge to display on your site!

magnificent-challenge-badge

First, a little bit about the process. I don’t think I ever intended to create blogging challenges. I would receive an idea that sparked my enthusiasm and soon after, I would receive another notion that it would make an excellent challenge. What I have discovered is that with the exception of my initial challenge, I really struggled to prepare my own post. Maybe this is because I prefer to write in a stream of consciousness style, or because the concepts are more difficult to put into written form? I don’t know. However, I welcome the chance to be challenged, to look deeper, and take my initial inspiration as a nudge to explore my inner landscape in a different way.

So I present Magnificence in Motion ~ IAM THAT IAM:

As someone with natal Neptune conjunct Sun and Neptune square my Ascendant, I often see myself with either rose-colored glasses or not at all, and others may also project their fantasies or confusion onto me. I still agree with what I wrote on my about page, that I am fascinated with and identify with a kaleidoscope ~ obeserver of beautiful forms. This attraction to the reflection of light or “lite” is an enduring theme for how I am unique. It is more apparent in the visual art, photography, poetry, film, books, and music that I showcase here at litebeing chronicles. Composing the about page was an arduous task because like Dayna, I have struggled with identity most of my life.

There lies the rub: the struggle was necessary until it wasn’t…..

A powerful dream excerpt from April 17 2016 provides more of the picture:

I’m with a former love but I am my present age. We are living together in a lovely home with a big modern kitchen. We are standing in the kitchen. The kitchen is modern, yet warm. In the center of the room is a wooden island. Sitting on top of the island is a serving of a raw steak. It resembles premium sushi grade tuna, thick, gleaming, pristine. I plan to season it simply with salt and pepper. I consider whether to marinate the steak, but decide it is not necessary. I then plan to grill it or bake it in the oven. I am delighted with this new setup, new way of living. I tell myself ” This is my second life, a better life, a new beginning.”

Brief analysis: I had journaled upon awakening that I felt proud of my accomplishments and was very excited about the future. These accomplishments include committing to a healthier wellness-centric lifestyle. This sense of a re-incarnation has stuck with me since then and has not wavered. It seems to be signaling a turning point. The house and kitchen are part of me : modern yet comfortable and warm; creative, sustaining, practical yet engaging.  The steak is what is ” at stake” and could also be my heart, pure and simple. No more marinating needed, it is time to just be…

So how does my magnificence shine?

I can dive into colors naturally

My wit is effortless and seemingly automatic

I totally relish helping others grow and learn, marvelling at how most of my “help” is my intuition in free – flow.

I am most magnificent in the absence of :

trying

striving

analyzing

planning

comparing

strategizing

re-framing

judging

I now realize that all I need to know is provided in the given moment and that I already have left the planet better than how I found it, by simply BEING. What a relief to discover that IAM on-point simply by breathing and allowing Source to guide me.  This is how the creative spark manifests, as unique and special in an ocean of unity and love.

Maybe an illustration would help clarify what my words cannot.

While contemplating this post, an image came to me of what is known as scratch art. I did not have the name for it, just a memory of creating this way as a child. It is a great memory. Up until recently I had completely forgotten about it. But the memory surfaced at the right time.

Easy directions:

Take a blank page and cover it with bright vibrant hues, leaving nothing blank.

Cover it entirely with black paint or crayon:

photo1300

Then apply a pin or ballpoint pen and draw a picture by scratching the surface to reveal some of the colors obscured by the black.

photo1302

See how we radiate under the layers of darkness of living on the material plane?

Visit this page to learn more about this technique.

I like the scratch art metaphor to describe my magnificence because I see radiance as mutable and unlimited. We can create over and over again and uncover more aspects of self. There are no limits. This is the beauty of consciousness.

Thanks to Barbara for inspiring me and thanks to all of you who support the unfolding of my light by simply being you.

Wishing you an exuberant Sagittarius New Moon!

Welcome to all new readers and followers! I am happy to be back tonight to share some joy and create some opportunities for inspiration and rewards. It has been quite awhile since I have offered an astrology promotion and now seems like a wonderful time to do so. With a new moon in Libra, the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere ( and Vernal/ Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere) the direct movements of both Mercury and Pluto, and the upcoming Jewish New year, ( not to mention Jupiter in Libra, Mars in Capricorn and Venus in Scorpio) this is truly a time for new beginnings. So how can we make the most of this window into infinity?

September has historically been a favorite time for me. I can still visualize my shiny new brown leather school  shoes, the crunchy leaves beneath my feet, and a crisp breeze in the air. How about you?

Photo950

Before September morphs into October, let me invite you to be playful and spontaneous. When Barbara surprised me with her amazing review of her astrology consultation , I was blown away by the unfolding of her story and my facilitation of a spiritual opening. I felt truly blessed to be gifted with the ability to help people transform their lives.  Then I got an idea that also blew me away…..

What if we all began to view ourselves through the lens of magnificence?

So here is my challenge:

During the months of October and November, compose a post about your ” you- ness”, celebrating your unique essence and energy. Embrace your inner goddess or god ( 0r both)! Very appropriate for the Venus – ruled lunation that’s all about love and grace, don’t you think?

Link your entry to this post and mention Litebeing’s Magnificent Challenge, and you are all set.

I will select one blogger and gift them a free astrology consultation of their choice!

If you have any questions, leave me a comment or email me here

Put on your shiny new shoes and get ready to party with your fine self 🙂

Thanks for listening and helping me get my message across to those who need to hear it. Also a big thanks to Sindy for the beautiful badge.

Share Your World ~ Litebeing Style – Part 3

Welcome to Share Your World, Cee’s challenge that gives me a chance to combine whimsy and heart with some random questions. It is really fun, so you should visit Cee and check it out. Her incredible photography is reason enough. This is my 3rd 4th post in this series. Too bad I figured this out after I hit publish. You can keep this flub between us, right?

Here are this week’s questions:

basket

Name one thing not many people know about you.

I really like baskets and find novel ways to use them. Here are some examples; napkin holder, seashell display, CD box, hairbrush and accessories container. A few of the baskets are purple, my favorite color.  That is a fact most people do know about me.

If a distant uncle dies and you were always his favorite and leaves you $50,000 (any currency) in his will, what would you do?

wikipedia.org public domain

Find the nearest airport and book a trip somewhere, anywhere. Bali, Tuscany, Casablanca, Chicago, Paris…. It is all good and so overdue.

Where do you hide junk when people come over?

I would hide stuff in closets and drawers. I would also through some stuff out. I have been doing more of that lately. There is not that much junk around, but my place is smallish so it can feel cluttered.

Complete this sentence:  I want to learn more about …

YOU!

I really enjoy connecting with people and peppering them with the deep questions. I would have to attribute that to my moon in Gemini. I really am fascinated with so many things, but this is the first idea that popped into my head. So if you are game, why don’t you add a fun fact about yourself in the comments section?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

orange flowersjuly2013

Last Week~  I am so grateful that I caught my illness in time. While I am still integrating this experience into my psyche, I am vividly aware how lucky I was that my intuition kicked in. I never want to step foot in a hospital again.

This Week ~ Would you believe I have a job interview on Thursday? The call came this morning. I have been quietly applying to a few jobs, with little expectations. I am excited and a bit flustered. Please send me some positive energy as I am a little rusty. Although my health is not totally restored, this good news has definitely lifted my spirits.

Next Week ~  Getting off medication for starters, then who knows?

Share My World ~ 2016 Edition

Here are my responses to this week’s Share Your World Challenge over at Cee’s Photography. Her challenges are tons of fun, but then there’s her flowers, WOW! Please check out her wonderful blog and you’ll see that Cee is all that!

This is a great crop of questions, so let’s dig in, shall we?

Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?

Why yes, I do. There was a time where it seemed unlikely to me. But after being exposed to Steven Spielberg, any doubts began to fade. The film Contact, which was inspired by Carl Sagan”s novel, sealed the deal. I have not had any encounters, except perhaps with myself. A psychic long ago did some past life work for me and stumbled upon something that surprised her. ” Your origins are not from this planet.”, she said.  At that time I was horrified, already feeling like such an outsider. But is any form of consciousness tethered to a planet anyway?

How many places have you lived? You can share the number of physical residences and/or the number of cities.

wikipedia.org pub domain

I have lived in four states. Born and bred in Brooklyn, New York and then I landed in Queens for a few years. Then I spent 3rd grade though 5th grade in Reading ( near Harrisburg) PA.  The end of 5th grade and most of 6th grade was spent in New Britain ( near Hartford) Connecticut. I remained in Cherry Hill, New Jersey from the end of 6th grade through high school. I moved to Phila, PA to attend college and never looked back. There have been several moves within Philadelphia but I have stayed in the NW section close to the Montgomery County border for almost 30 years. I moved to this neighborhood during my Saturn Return. That was the highlight of that transit for me. I often wondered why it was so meh. I figured it was because Saturn rules my 12th house of  ~ what is hidden, unconscious. Recently I took a fresh look and noticed that transiting Neptune was conjunct Saturn. So my transition to adulthood was  covered in fog. Aha, this makes sense!

I did not like living in either New York or Cherry Hill. I preferred Reading with its rolling hills, awesome Mt. Penn., and friendly people. I also enjoyed the woods of Connecticut and the allure that New England held for me. Returning to Pennsylvania truly felt like coming home.

If you given $22 million tax-free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do?

Billets_de_5000

Impulsively I decided to play last week’s Powerball lottery. I fantasized about how to spend $1.5 Billion dollars. I quickly realized I do not want all that money. I then considered how to spend about $ 2 million. The first thing I would do is get a new car. Maybe something energy-efficient and cute like this:

wikipedia.org public domain

But in a different color, maybe something metallic. I did not win any money, but I stumbled upon a semi-premonition. Once I made the choice to play, I thought about where to buy my tickets. I was persuaded internally to go to a Wawa. I felt very good about this location. All 3 winning tickets in Pennsylvania were purchased at , you guessed it, Wawa. Now all I need is the winning numbers and I’m all set.

The Never List: What are things you’ve never done? Or things you know you never will do?

A short list:

Skydiving

Bungee jumping

Olympic try – outs

Hunting

Becoming a Reality TV star * ( see item below)

Get plastic surgery * ( see item above)

*Plastic surgery and Reality TV probably go together.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I have 3 old David Bowie albums and my original turntable to play them on. I am also grateful that my new favorite miniseries Wayward Pines is returning this summer. I am grateful to have some repeat astrology clients to read for the next few weeks. I am also grateful that my local astrology group is under new management and has planned some exciting activities and amazing lecturers. I plan to attend their first meeting of 2016 tomorrow.

It is exciting when I see how my psychic abilities manifest. This gives me hope that I can create gold out of lead, metaphorically speaking. I had given up on Wayward Pines and just discovered yesterday that the announcement was made 1 month ago. This is quite puzzling. I google Wayward Pines frequently to check its status. How could I have missed this?  But I digress..

It is never too late to expand our awareness and re-calibrate our ideas. Something odd is beeping as I type these last few words. I guess it is a sign that Source is in agreement.

UPDATE ( about 15 minutes later) The beeping may have been an ET telling me to check my mail. Guess what I just found outside my door? My new Matt Kahn book.

Something else to feel grateful for.

Time Machine Blogging Challenge: It is Off the Chain. Whadya Waiting for? Join Us!

So how are you enjoying blogging at the speed of lite ?

Can we give it up for Amy, Sindy, and Ka? How about Julie, Leigh and the dynamic duo Odie and OM? Lest we not forget the most recent offerings by Tiramit, Sue, Sarah, and Jamie? They are all outstanding and compelling writers whose posts make compelling reading. Thank you to all who are contributing and following along from blog to blog. In case you haven’t noticed, we have some incredibly talented writers in our midst. Not only that, they offer us windows to new worlds, dynamic paradigm shifts, and the awakening heart.

We still have some vacancies to fill. I am still looking for people to fill the 15th, 18th, and 19th and beyond. We have extended the challenge until the end of October by popular demand.

Any takers? Please pass this on via social media. Thanks in advance. I am so excited to see what’s around the corner. There is so much more to come…

wikipedia.org pub domain

I am so excited about tomorrow September 17, 2015. While our friend Mercury is moving retrograde in Libra until October 9th, Saturn is leaving Scorpio for good ( until November 2041) and moving into Sagittarius. Personally this is a BIG deal as it is heading for the second time towards my Midheaven. This is often a pinnacle in one’s public life. I know that the time is now, and it is quite exciting. I do not want to wait until the next transit in another 29 years or so  to see what happens. I want to live in the present.

Having said that, many of you know I am a fool for time travel and all manipulation of time. Way back in early 2013 I created one of my very first posts about music. I  called it Timeless Tunes, which exemplifies my fondness for playing with this malleable dimension. Maybe it’s an occupational hazard of being an astrologer, but I am totally mesmerized by our perception of past, present, and future.

My interest in manifestation is catching up to my obsession with time. I have posted frequently about intention and how one state of being influences another. Here’s an example just from today: I am driving home this afternoon, taking in the beauty of early autumn. I am quickly reminded of my first fall in Philadelphia and all that it represents. I thought about my work, my education, my roommates, and the man I dated. I began to wonder how I could take my current spiritual awareness and infuse it into that critical time in my life. Lo and behold when I got home I opened a link to a therapy practice that a friend recommended for a potential job. The name of the practice seemed familiar, but I had never worked there. I visit the site and see the name of that same former boyfriend listed as one of the clinicians. I could not believe my eyes! How powerful are our thoughts when lit up with intention! Can we also infuse our past with wisdom from our future selves ( meaning our present selves today.) ?

Photo929

So in the spirit of the new ( Saturn re-entering Sag) merging with the not so new ( Mercury moving back through Libra), I propose a blogging challenge:

12047485_1093870137323352_1055130782_n

Thank you Sindy for creating this cool challenge badge! I am open for more badge creations if others are interested. What did I say earlier about manifestation! This badge arrived in less than 24 hours.

Directions: Pick a time in your life that was critical to your development. You can go back or forwards in time. It can be real or imagined. After all, it is real if you imagine it!

Choose an idea or a skill or a value you hold dear in the present and infuse it into that time period.

Share your story of what happens to positively impact your life.

Choose a date in the comments section. Link your post to this one and also link to the blogger who follows you in the challenge. There is no limit to the amount of bloggers or how long the challenge will last. I will keep track of the dates and list them here.

When I was thinking of the challenge in the car, I was on the fence. But when I saw my ex boyfriend’s name on the website I realized that I was given this idea to pass on. Life is really amazing sometimes and I want to capitalize on it by organizing a challenge. I have not done this in a great while ( almost a year) so I hope I can drum up lots of Sag enthusiasm.

wikimedia free domain

With Jupiter opposing Neptune,Virgo, Libra and Aries highlighted by the eclipses, and the aforementioned Mercury and Saturn transits, we are in for a season of big dreams, reworking of relationships to self  and others, and the crystallization of intentions. The cosmic plate is heaped high with unrealized potential. However, it requires planning and discernment ( Virgo), negotiation and equity ( Libra) exuberance and generosity of spirit ( Jupiter/Sag), and more than a dash of patience and discipline ( Saturn) and clear direct communication ( Mercury).

So let’s rally together and share our dreams in this blogging challenge. Writing our stories gives them power and also makes them sing. Fuel up your time machines and let’s blast into the cosmos!

Please join me in this community project as we co create a lighter planet for all.

While we await the changing of the planetary guard tomorrow, how about singing along for some added energy and inspiration?

Let’s make every day a Brand New Day

litebeing’s Re-decorating

New month, new Earth, new blog format, why not?

Just a quick post to invite you over to see my new place. I have gone more minimal; streamlining the widgets while giving the images more pop. There are quirks to be found, so bear with me. If I was waiting for perfection, you wouldn’t be reading this because I would not have a blog. Mercury is still quite retrograde so I seized the chance to play with various themes and settings. So here we are. I like to create a pleasant environment for my readers.

Speaking of which:

Who reads this anyway? If a tree falls in the forest but does not like nor comment, can anyone hear it? I sorta figured that only the folks who like and/or comment read my stuff. And as all bloggers know, liking does not equal reading. I do occasionally discover, typically via email, that there are amazing seemingly random people who read this blog. And they are not contractually obligated.

I received an amazing email recently from a wonderful woman who reads my blog but contacted me for another reason. Who knew? Then today I learned that my cousin who I have not seen in many years, finds my blog interesting. So when I heard I have a blood relative on-board, I thought I better get my house in order. So voila, I cleaned up and redecorated.

For the rest of my readership who are WP bloggers, the challenge starts today. Amy’s post is first and is ready for viewing. Yes! Her story reaches us all the way from Australia. Wouldn’t it be cool to have at least 1 blogger from each continent? We have Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia covered. So that leaves South America and Africa. There is also Antarctica, but I ain’t pressing my luck. But hey, anything is possible..

There are still many dates available so please, if you are on the fence, get off it and sign up!
