I wasn’t sure it would post tonight, but I changed my mind after learning of the bombing in Poland. I am not old enough to remember WW2, but I experienced what I can best describe as a flashback. There are liminal times and my ancestors may be nudging me now. I am Polish on both sides of my family. I also have Ukrainian blood as well. But Poland is personal. I was named after my MGGM and my PGM. What do they have in common? They were born in Poland! My eyes are tearing up as I consider my ancestral lands being attacked. I hope it was just a military miscalculation, but at the end of the day, damage was done.
Some of my blog covers topics on an occasional basis. I am featuring a topic that fits that category. This reblog is from 2014 and it covers genealogy, culture, and food. I dedicate it to my ancestors and dear friend Monika at Symbolreader. If you don’t know her, please take a look at her blog. She is a gifted writer, teacher, story teller, Jungian aficionado with a great sense of humor and a loving heart. It makes me happy to know that we both are part of Poland’s legacy.

Let’s also remember that for better or worse, we are all ONE.
