How Am I Doing? Part 1

I realize that most of my recent posts have been about art or reblogs ( of my work or fellow bloggers). With the exception of the March Madness post, I have been rather quiet.

I have really been struggling. So much so, that while the blog ideas arrive fast and furious, my ability to digest and integrate the material has been compromised. So I have decided to write smallish posts for now.  My goal is to share my story in manageable, bite size nuggets until I am able to produce more lengthy material.

I do want to thank those who have prayed for me, sent me love, good vibes, light, etc. Please keep it coming. Some of it must have reached me because my physical health has shown some improvement. The symptoms are less harsh and less frequent. Thank you.

Music has always offered me solace. I cannot recall a time when it has not comforted me. As I continue to sort out the jewels from the rubbish, the soundtrack continues.

So I offer you another song. When I first heard this in the 1970s, I took the message literally. Today it takes on a symbolic tone.

After you listen, please take a pause and ask yourself:

Is this the Matrix or the Soul?

Or possibly an alternative way of being?

    1. Dear Sue,
Maybe the trick is reading backwards so you know how it will turn out! Only kidding, as I am aware there are always multiple outcomes which are often in flux. Watching the film Interstellar reminded me of that in a very dramatic fashion. Health is so important for when we do not feel well it is easy to become sad or fearful and the the body responds to that and on and on. Not to mention how the field reflects back more of the same negative thoughts to us…

Hot chai tea and some time to be still will prepare me for tomorrow’s eclipse. I wish you a joyous Easter and pleasant weekend.

      love, Linda

  5. Sending love, Linda!

I happened to notice you mentioned reading the Wingmakers material. I don’t know much of it. I do know that at various times I have gotten into– mixed up in?– teachings that left me feeling like there were all these things to know about what was happening in the Universe, and the shifts, and the phases, and the mantras and the symbols and all of these things. And I think they can all be quite helpful, but on the other hand, our hearts contain all that is required.

So, perhaps I am way off track here. But if the material produces the feeling there is a secret handshake, or something missing you’re afraid you might miss, or something we might fail to achieve or become… then I offer my vote of confidence for the sovereignty of your own heart.

    Hope this finds you well…
    Much Love

    1. Hi Michael,
You are partially correct regarding my recent foray into the Wingmakers and other sources that lead me to wonder just how in the dark humanity may in fact be. Clearly I was led to this info for some reason, not sure if or when I will know why. In the meantime I am grateful for your support and friendship.

      love,
      Linda

  6. I read books and rarely “get” what others say the author is saying…I listen to music and rarely hear what others hear the lyricist saying (I looked the lyrics up to the song in your blog)…I look at paintings and and rarely see what others see…however I get and hear and see what I want to get, hear, see at that moment in time …so sadly I’m no help to you whatsoever. Everything is open to interpretation and one’s mood often dictates what one gets, hears, sees…I’m pretty much a person who sees things “black and white”…I’m not fond of hidden meanings…tell me the way it is and I’ll deal with that…whether I like it or not. I’m concerned about you…you’ve been such a faithful fan for the past 2 years, I don’t like thinking of you as being in mental and/or physical pain, of any degree or magnitude. I just lost a friend of 11 years and I very much hate thinking that possibly there was something I could have done to ease his burden that I did not do. All I can do on a computer is offer words…if doing a more simple blog post eases you then by all means make it simple. If this is a spiritual thing for you…I am and have been in a complicated place, for years, when it comes to organized religion. And while I believe deeply that I am “a child of the universe” and have, since a teenager, felt comfortable calling myself a Cancerian my life beliefs are very fundamental and basic. If you need help from those near and dear to you I hope you will ask for and receive the help you need. I do believe there is a healing energy created when one prays…so I send you prayers for the healing that you need. Theanne

  7. Oh, that sounds like you are in a dark night of the soul. I’m sorry to hear that.

About the meaning of the lyrics:
I think it is the soul talking to the small self.
The line “There are no answers here, when you look out you don’t see in” suggests that we don’t try to find answers out there, but instead we have to turn attention inside and realize our connection to Source inside.

“There is no way out of here, when you come, you’re in for good” :
Well, that sounds like a bleak outlook, but that doesn’t mean we stay in the body forever. Just until we don’t need it anymore as a teaching tool.
Bluntly put: wake up in this incarnation, or else come back over and over again. Until the lessons are learned.

I wish you peace and hope springtime will start soon for you.

    1. Karin,
I truly appreciate your detailed response. And your kindness of course.
Really glad you lent your thoughts to the lyrical discussion. I agree with you on this line:
“There are no answers here, when you look out you don’t see in”
I have a complex response to this line:
There is no way out of here, when you come, you’re in for good” :
My recent foray into Wingmakers material has done a number on me I am afraid. Will continue my reading and meditate more on my possible conclusions. Will blog on this when I am further along. Do not know if I am more vulnerable now to dark material and/or I was led to this place for some other purpose. Is it spiritual bypass or something deeper?

      1. I don’t know Wingmaker’s material yet. I am curious to get an introduction by you.
It is hard to figure out what is happening while we are in the midst of turmoil. I’ve found it helpful to write into a journal every day. Then I could connect the dots in retrospect. That just isn’t possible while in the middle of overwhelm, I agree.

  8. Take care Linda… I didn’t realise you were going the ‘intense integration’… a lot of conscious breathing and relaxing time is what is necessary… and remember you are the one that matters nothing else… It’ll soon pass… Barbara x

    1. thank you Barbara. Perhaps it is nothing more or no-thing more that intense integration. I appreciate your kindness and awareness. Meditation, quiet and thought watching are on the daily menu.

      blessings, Linda
