There are mountains in our way, but we climb a step every day.

Saturn stations direct on 8-25-17 at 8:08 AM EDT. I am already noticing a calmness and expectancy of progress. In my chart, this transit is occurring in the 10th house of reputation, calling, and public persona. Considering all the changes I am experiencing, I am hopeful that clarity and peace will prevail.

Many of my readers have been aware that I have been quite depressed for a few months. Those who are astrologically-minded will understand that transiting Saturn has been opposing my natal moon in the 4th house since Christmas 2016. During this same time period, transiting Pluto has been opposing my natal Mars in the 6th house.  The second direct hit of both these cosmic events just occurred within a few days of each other, (the beginning of this month). They are still strongly in effect and will remain until October 2017 and December 2017 respectively. The lunar and solar eclipses just amplified the intensity for me. The lunar eclipse was conjunct my ascendant and square my Sun. Monday’s solar eclipse was conjunct my chart ruler, Uranus in my 7th house, close to my descendant and opposing Chiron. All my wounds about identity and relationships came up for review big time.

Within just a few days my life has truly changed. Last Monday I received my Ancestry DNA results.  Last Tuesday I interviewed to be Clinical Director at a Substance Abuse IOP program. Last Wednesday I lost my job as a therapist at a Psych Rehab program.

The program lost 60% of its funding and my position was eliminated. While losing the job is not surprising, dealing with the aftermath is quite traumatic for me on many levels. I hope that this gift of time will re-energize my drive to blog more. I certainly hope this will happen as I have so much to share here with all of you.

While I do plan to write in-depth separate articles on my genealogy findings and the loss of my job, today is not that day. I still have more inner work to do, including more meditation, prayer, and journaling. I am excited that my oldest friend from junior high/ high school is visiting from Texas tomorrow. This unexpected surprise is a welcome one, fortunately!

What  I mentioned today is just the tip of the iceberg. So many people are leaving and entering my life. So many choices and options are on the table. So much grieving and forgiving is necessary before I can truly move forward with confidence and sure-footedness.   I am actively working on integrating all this seismic activity internally.

In the meantime, if you desire a reading, please check out my services page. Or if you want to donate funds for the blog, contact me here.

I have never suggested donations from readers, but I realize that now is the perfect time to do so. If you want to support my writing and creative flow, I am happy to receive your generosity with gratitude. Learning to receive is one of my lessons and during times of financial uncertainty it is especially relevant to my evolution. While I have truly struggled with this decision, I believe it is the right one for now. Thanks in advance for any contributions on my behalf.

Finally, I want to leave with you a song as you contemplate tomorrow’s Saturn station. Up Where We Belong is the Grammy and Oscar-winning song from the film An Officer and a Gentleman starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger. Both the song and the movie emphasize Saturnian themes of achievement, seizing the moment, and overcoming obstacles. They are also both personal favorites of mine and have been since seeing the film for the first time as a college senior.

What does Saturn mean in terms of your evolution?

    Hey Linda, Namaste 🙂

One of my favourite film tracks, I had to stop by. Indeed, would you like to know that the type of aircraft being flown in the video is I think, an F-15 Eagle, which I have always thought adds panache to the officer and maverick to the gentleman.

May I ask was the loss of your job on the cards or did that bolt strike out of the blue? I am curious to know why you were seeking job opportunities elsewhere. If you didn’t know about the funding shortfall, have you wondered at the synchronicity of events – the interview preceding your job loss? One door closing and who knows another door perhaps soon to open. Also, it seems a step up for you in terms of the good work you do? If so, transformation into a higher functioning role will take fire and a scarab beetle’s mentality 🙂 Seismic activity could indicate a volcano just poised nicely ready to erupt and propel you skywards!

You often write about wheels that keep turning. Perhaps the Fates have turned yours? 🙂

Sending brightest blessings and best wishes. Perhaps the Knight in shining Parade Dress is the very next job opportunity…certainly the job would lift you higher 🙂 Good luck, God bless.!

    Namaste 🙂

      hey Dewin,
I knew about the funding issues for a long time, just did not know the hows or whens of it all. Not really a synchronicity in that way, but landing an interview and choosing the day before the job ending IS synchronicity. I applied for a few jobs at the same time and this was the only one that contacted me and it was the most interesting one of the lot. The soundtrack is good, I have it on a cassette tape somewhere! Thanks for all your blessings, Linda

        Hey Linda, Namaste 🙂

Ah so a little notice, albeit unofficially I imagine, was available to you before the axe man cometh. So pleased you took advantage of that space and engaged with the future. You sound prepared in both mind and spirit should the new job open up for you and now just eagerly waiting for the volcano to erupt beneath your feet! SO much energy in your reply it sparkles like diamonds in a plutonian mine 😉

Yahoo for synchronicity! I cannot wait to hear the outcome of this process of unfolding events.

The film was released in 1986. Would you really have kept an item for 30+ years? I am personally impressed by that. I’m not sure I’ve owned anything for that long before. I love a good clear out each time I move. Travelling light is the best way to travel taking with one only what the future needs. Each move is a whittling of me so that I might grow a stronger tree lol 🙂

Blessings always Linda, that’s what friend’s do 🙂

        Namaste 🙂

Wrapped in ‘joy’, what a memory that must be, no wonder you treasured the tape 😉 1982. Cool, I stand happily corrected 🙂

So, do you feel ready to move forward, to lift off?

Thank you for joyful wishes, I can feel the warmth already.

        Namaste 🙂

      Hi Barbara,
Intellectually I see all this about change. But at the heart level, I have some grieving to do, especially for those clients who relied on me. I have just started Matt’s latest video and I am enjoying it. He is a treasure, constantly challenging my ideas, a great gift!
I would be happy to help you explore your forecast and will await email contact for you. I am all for magic and am more open that ever, have had years of preparation, as many of us have had.

Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement at this time. blessings to you, Linda

Wow! I use that SAME metaphor when I explain my astro work face to face. Either minefields or potholes. “Astrology, the way I do it, is like the headlights on your car. It shows where the potholes are. You can ignore it, saying that ‘focuses on the negative,’ but if you turn your headlights off you will hit more potholes.”

That is what I was thinking, too. I am not done with my blogging session, and sometimes having the browser that I use for email open interferes with that. (My Scorp planets might be outers, but I definitely have my own Scorp tendencies, such as using separate browsers for separate tasks for security reasons….)
